Andromeda half-smiled already sure she’d regret this, “Lead the way.” They walked in silence until he spoke up. Andi shook her head, “No, it’s not. We should probably let someone know about that, so they can fix it.” They walked in silence until she had a thought, “I don’t think you ever told me your power. It would be a little unfair, don’t you think. Given that you know mine.”
"Oh … " William said surprised because he didn’t even realize he hadn’t shared his power with her yet. “You’re right, I never did say … Well it’s electrokinesis. Wait … I thought it was obvious from the story I told you … Didn’t I mention I got my powers from the guy who killed my uncle with electrokinesis in front of me and somehow I gained his power as well?” He asked but soon dismissed his question “Well nevermind what I said, this here is my cabin.” He said as he motioned to his cabin.
“Oh, you’re in for a treat. Hold on.” Juniper pulled out their phone, typing for a second. “Ok, here’s Poison Ivy. Pretty, huh? She’s actually a villain, but who cares? She’s hot and we have plant powers.” They grinned, putting their chin in their palm. “It’s a tv show, actually. I know the movie you like, what’s your favorite show?” @LunaticLeviTheSecond - Audrey
“Um, what are you doing?” North asked skeptically as Orla got closer to him. He turned off the music before he interlaced his fingers with hers and mirrored her position.
While waiting, a random Beatles song turned on and North laughed as Orla began to dance. He joined her as he mouthed the lyrics to the song. Dancing honestly wasn’t his strong suit. North always had issues moving to the right beat and felt he always looked awkward while dancing, which caused dancing to become something he hated doing.
His awkward dance move list was made up of hand waving, bouncing to the beat of a song, and just trying to awkwardly move his body in some way that resembled dancing.
Compared to Orla, North definitely looked like a sloppy mess. The only thing that prevented him from calling the dance off was North’s feeling that he had to repay Orla for the kiss.
Audrey smiled. “Now I never said I liked that movie, I only mentioned it because of a plot point I remeber that I compared to how we act now. But my favorite show is Horrible Histories and Merlin … Favorite cartoon movie would have to be … Now don’t laugh … Aliens from the attic.” Audrey himself smiled and would start laughing if they started laughing too.
As the song finished Orla exlaimed “That was fun! Even though you looked like you were in pain.”
She took her phone and found another song and started dancing to it. “Next song is your pick” She said. She had no intention to keep that promise. She was too tired and didn’t know if she had energy for another dance, but he could play his song on his own phone and dance as she watched.
“Ah, I get it. Hmm…I think I’ve heard of those. Wait, I think I’ve seen a couple episodes of Horrible Histories. Pretty cool.” Juniper blinked. “Pretty hard to laugh if I’ve never heard of the movie. Is it a cartoon or something?” @LunaticLeviTheSecond - Audrey
“No, it’s a live action movie, not a good one, but for some reason as a kid I was obsessed with it. Probably because I laughed like an idiot to this ending scene whenever I watched it. Just the way the actor walked and moved when he was controlled by the alien machine itself was funny, let alone when his ex girlfriend takes the console to get revenge on him. But I rewatched it a few years ago and it was horrible. I can’t believe I ever though something like this was fun.”
Andromeda thought for a moment as they walked, “Well, yes, but particles don’t just behave that way. Was there something else there that night? Uh, let’s see any form of radiation or any events that could cause quantum entanglement that merged his powers with you?” She asked now very intrigued as to what could’ve caused his powers as she just assumed that people don’t just go trading around powers if it was only proximity based. They strolled up to his cabin and Andi nodded, “It’s nice. Now, I’ll be right here, so no funny business remember?”
“Oh for goodness sake I’m right in front of you.” I sighed and rolled my eyes. Gosh, there’s no good excuse for that. Watch where you’re going.
“Please be careful next time.” I smile, but not in a really nice way, and I quickly stop as if to be sarcastic.
I was planning on ignoring the girl from then on and to just allow her to continue on her trail, but her face… she seemed upset about something, kind of like a guilty look.
The tasks were the first thought that came to mind. I know that they usually put people out of their comfort zones a lot. She must’ve done something to do with those maybe? Or just something bad in general. Though, for this I may guess it’s to do with the tasks.
“Are you… okay…?” I ask hesitantly. I didn’t really want to seem like I cared so much about her well-being. I didn’t really talk to the participants but she truly looked traumatised.
ORP; oml I took so long to respond I’m sorry I had an allergic reaction and was off my phone for most of yesterday. Now I’ve just come back from school.
“Oh I don’t remeber a lot about when it happened. I barely remeber anything from my childhood after a certain age maybe because I don’t like remebering it and I suppose I forgot it with time. But let’s not hang on to past experiences, especially ones we don’t like rembering. You stay here and I’ll just bring you out something. It’s got to be pretty cold in just that dress and the coat though, I’ll bring you a blanket.” He said as he quickly entered.
A minute later he was back with the gift and with a blanket saying “Okay, open this parcel. That’s for you. And sorry I couldn’t find two blankets so we’ll just have to share this one.”
“Uh… all of it?” I giggled quietly. My excessive happiness can actually be a curse at times. I knew this wasn’t the time to laugh but I’m just too happy to be serious!
“Is everything okay?” I pout childishly, “that seemed tough.” Whilst moving I was practically skipping all over the place.
“It sounds like you have a lot on your back.” I smile sadly, now feeling sorry for the woman. I never really had many problems in my life, maybe that explains my never-ending joy; “Don’t listen to that horrible man, you’ll be able to find your soulmate here! I guarantee it! Everyone has someone out there.”
This is what I truly believe, unlike Gale, who constantly tries to crush my hopes.
“Sorry I didn’t see you cuz I was walking fast, and watching my feet.” She said still looking down at her feet.
“I swear I’ll be more careful.” She said, feeling even more guilty, until he suddenly changed his voice and asked if she was okay.
She looked back up at him, a bit relieved and she said. “Not really … not at all okay. Why was I made to use my power when people here know it’s dangerous? I literally had to poison somebody.”
The young woman raised an eyebrow at the girl, she was way too happy and perky. Nobody was that nice, that’s like ‘I secretly wanna kill you’ kind of nice. She shook her head and took off her jacket revealing a blue set of hospital scrubs. “Everyone seems to think that being too good at my job is a bad thing, so what if a feel a little more tired than usual at the end of the day. As long as I help people that’s all that matters.” A little embarrassed, she picked up her clothes that had come out of her suitcase when it hit the ground. The woman shook her head, “I’m not here for the whole ‘soulmate’ thing, the hospital is apparently concerned for my safety that I was forced to go on vacation or be suspended.” She held out her hand to shake, “Mia.”
Andromeda continued thinking, fascinated by this guy’s story. She thought about what could’ve happened to him. “I’m sorry but I can’t it’s fascinating! I mean electricity can be a catalyst for all sort of chemical reactions. So, maybe getting your powers had nothing to do with particles but maybe chemicals or specific chemical reactions.” He told her he’d get the gift as well as a blanket. Andromeda half-smiled, “Well, I-that’s very thoughtful of you.” A minute later he came out with a package and the blanket. She laughed when he said they’d have to share the blanket. “Ok, fine, but I don’t want your blanket to get ruined so I will go as far as the porch swing and I mean it mister don’t try anything under that blanket!” She opened the gift and pulled out a beautiful purple cloak, like one was worn by women in the medieval times. “I–It’s…” She gently rubbed the fabric smiling, this was the kindest anyone has been to her since…well since the accident but she sighed, “Thank you. You’ve been promoted, I’m not angry at you as much anymore and you’re on probation.” She then had another thought. “Ok, since we both know something about the other that we promised never to tell, I suppose I could even it out and tell you my backstory.”
Freya blushed as Emma laughed, “I took martial arts for about five years when I was a kid. I wanted to be just like her. Natasha supported me, of course. In case you were wondering about all of that.” Freya stepped back as the floor turned to dust and covered her mouth to keep from laughing. “Flee the scene with me?” She asked giggling softly as she held out her hand, “Wait! Gloves first.”
“Good she liked it” William thought to himself. He knew he was at fault when he was agressive with her earlier, and he was like it because there’s a lot of anger built up in him, and one person he liked forced him to go to this place, so he got even angrier which made him use some of that anger on this poor girl. He was glad he was able to fix her opinion of him considering the fact they would have to interact together and see each other for a long while, so he didn’t want his impulsive output of anger ruin it for either of them.
“I hope you realize I didn’t buy it for you just because it’s beautiful. I bought it because you can use it to hide. It would be better than the cloak you had when we first met, because you constantly had to pull it up to hide your face.”
He promised to himself to help hide her, but he couldn’t promise it to her yet because he didn’t want it to be his fault if she’s discovered.
Andromeda smiled softly and before she said anything else she leaned foreword and kissed him on the cheek, “This is an incredibly thoughtful gift, Thank you.” She went inside to where the bathroom was and put it on. She then came back out and sat next to him. “So, about my backstory…” She started nervously before remembering they were on TV. “Right, um…Can we go inside? I-I don’t feel comfortable telling the whole world just yet.” She said motioning to the cameras.
William didn’t expect any more gratitude from her than a thank you, but he recieved a kiss on the cheek from her which he did not know how to react to. She then went inside and William didn’t know if he should get up, follow her or stay put. He decided to stay put and until she showed up again, he touched his cheek. “I wonder if she felt the electricity?” He asked himself. It’s a truth some women can get zapped by him during some … activities, but it’s the kind of little shock they like, as if it when it touches them it scratches their brain and they like it. He could smell a hint of her scented lipstick she left on his cheek and he though it was raspberry scented. She did come back with the cape on, and he complimented her. “Wow, it looks great on you.” That was his opinion because he assumed dark purple with space, so to him it was a perfect mix. She sat back down and was about to tell him about herself, but she suddenly stopped and looked all frightened. She looked out and William followed her gaze to a distant camera and he understood the reason why she wanted to go inside.
“Of course we can go inside, it’s warmer in there so we won’t need the blanket. That’s good because I have only one and was getting a bit annoyed how you took most of it on your side.” He teases before he opened the door for her. He might not know anything about love, but he knew how te be a gentleman and knows the rules.
Andromeda looked around and still didn’t quite feel safe that they weren’t still being watched. She grabbed his hand and without a word led him to the restroom. “Sorry, I still felt like I was being watched.” She sat down on the edge of the bathtub and motioned for him to sit. Thankfully she wouldn’t have to wonder how to begin as she had to tell someone earlier for her task. “Do you remember that story in the news, about the particle collider in space?” She remembered starting out with as to make telling the story a bit easier to follow.
