Cesare was still trying to comprehend the situation. Can he hug her if he doesn’t touch her face? Does her hair count? Would it actually be smart to hug her now when you both got angry?
He decided not to get the situation any worse by any contact, he didn’t want to know what would happen if he touched her again and this time for longer. He was so grossed out by the fact he could be used in that way that he wanted to distance himself from the girl and being near enough to touch her until he knows her better. He doesn’t want to hurt her feelings by ignoring her or ghosting her, but he had to get out of the situation of hugging her.
He decided to decieve her and he pretened he noticed something in the background. He gasped and turned to Berit.
“I think I know that guy right there. Imma go up and check out if it’s really him, you don’t mind me going, do you?”
Kalon arched a brow, “And pray tell, why would I have a black cat?” Black cats were cute, especially Drakon- the flesh (preferably human flesh) eating black cat, cousin Marendol owned. But blancable- her white cat was equally as cute, especially because she fed on the souls of the innocent. Sucking their souls out of their body and killing them, the first time Kakòlin saw this, she couldn’t help but be amused and amazed.
"I wish my powers turned off.” Kakòlin gave her an examination, before slowly smirking, “What are your powers? I can help you temporarily work it a different way.” What Kalon failed to mention was that the different way would be more chaotic and probably more dangerous as after all, she was a trickster, mistress of bad luck.
“Well, black cats are bad luck. I personally love them. They’re beautiful.” Emma scrutinized Kakòlin when she said she could help. “Fine. I saw what you did with the pigeons. I need something to hold that you don’t mind being obliterated.” @Kristi - Kakòlin
Nico was somewhat taken aback, he didn’t intend on offending her. He usually didn’t struggle too much with talking to people, but she was rather strange.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know you would take offense,” Nico bit his lip. He felt guilty yet a little confused so he asked, “Could you tell me what was wrong? I don’t want to make you uncomfortable again.”
After listening to her response about his comment of her being single he said, “I apologize for that too, I just meant you seem like a good person, and- and I didn’t mean for that to make you feel bad.”
Nico thought for a second, this was the first person he’d met and he’d already messed it up with her. He didn’t want to make her anymore upset, but he didn’t know exactly why she was in the first place.
“Uh, Azalea, would you rather talk about something else?” He wanted to ask her what she wanted to talk about to avoid making her more uncomfortable, “What would you like to talk about, no pressure, of course?”
Azalea relaxed. “Oh my god I’m so sorry … I just sometimes get this psycho thoughts, I mean I know you probably don’t want anything bad with complimenting people, but my brain is just trying to convince me everybody is out to get me. I don’t know why but I’m always so paranoid about it, and it’s most likely never true.” Azalea felt extremely guilty and very stupid.
“I think any topic is fine so long as you don’t give me any compliments, as you can tell I don’t take compliments very well.”
"You probably have to have super strength to carry all of those without being tired,” Sarah shook her head. “No, my arms are actually killing me right now.” She said with a small laugh. That was the first time the word strength was ever associated with her. “Trust me, it was really hard to carry all of these over here. But I feel flattered that you think I have super strength.” They then asked why she decided to take so much stuff with them. Sarah couldn’t imagine leaving anything at home and what does a national person do? Stuff everything in their bag. “I had to bring things that were sentimental and reminded me of home. Like an oversized teddy bear and a old hairbrush I’ve had since forever…even though I have a new one…oh and” she began rambling about what she bought with her. “I probably look stupid with these huge bright pink bags but they are essential for travel. Aren’t they at least pretty?”
Destiny laughed, “Not at all, it’s how people introduce themselves. I know we barely know each other, but even acquaintances know each others first names.” Destiny laughed softly and rocked the newborn pup in her hands, unaware of the loving gaze William gave her until he spoke up, “Good, I’m happy I was able to change your mind, although I didn’t mind you being the perfect gentleman at all.” William then asked what she was going to name him, after a moment of watching the pup’s breathing she replied, “Fate, I’m going to name him Fate.” Whether she knew the irony between the pup’s new name and her own wasn’t evident from her tone or facial expression.
“No, it’s alright…” He softened his expression a bit, “I get weird thoughts too, it’s just I tend to overthink after I say something rather than before. I can’t assure you that no one’s out to get you, but, I can assure you that I’m not. I’d much rather be your… friend.” Nico smiled.
He paused for a minute, “Your frog? Where’d you get it?”
Nico knew referring to the frog as an ‘it’ seemed a bit blunt but he didn’t want to mess up again and preferred to just be vague.
Azalea smiled when Nicholas asked about her pet. It meant he moved on from the subjects she felt self conscious about.
“Ah yes.” She said as she brought him up for Nico to have a better look. “This is Steve. Say hello Steve.” She mocked the way some people did this interaction with kids that look too terrified to comply with that. “Nah I’m just playing, you don’t need to socially interact.” She joked.
Azalea didn’t mind Nico reffering to her pat as an if because most people reffer to animals as it, considering that it’s gramatically correct.
“Well I got it from a store.” She pointed at the frog “Notice how Steve is yellow? Well that means it’s poisonous. If you touch it you die. That’s what bright colors mean on animals like frogs and such. However, in the case of this exact frog, it’s their surroundings that make them poisonous so considering this one was grown in captivity, away from where you’d normally find this frog, it means it’s not poisonous, so you can pet him if you like, it won’t harm you … Just, be gentle, do it with only a finger, because even thought I just told you he can’t harm you, you can still harm him.”
Helix never really considered a dog. He didn’t know why his child-self was fixated on a cat instead. Though, he had his guesses. “Oh yeah, I’d assume getting injured by an animal would damage your opinion on them. I just never really thought about a dog. I guess I thought if any animal a cat would more likely be allowed by my parents. And I’m sure sprinkle fluffs would enjoy your company,” Helix chuckled. “I don’t know if I knew what a cat was back then. Also, smarties would’ve been my last guess to your favorite candy. I like them, but I always think about candy bars before smarties.”
Orla replied immediately to the comment he made about how sprinkle fluffs would enjoy her company and she sad “Oh, thank you!” And the comment brought a smile to her face.
“I’m pretty sure you knew what a cat was, just had an imaginatio nand a clear view of what you want… Pounds and pounds of sugar. But you are a bit wrong about smarties … Smarties come in candy bar shape. I think so. It’s just chocolate with smarties stuck in it, but it’s better than just regular chocolate, especially as a child. That’s probably why smarties became my favorite candy. However, I daren’t try smarties in a bowl with milk and label it smarties cereal like Moss does.”
Nicolas noticed her shift in behavior and grinned a little himself. He took a look at the frog and pressed on his head. He quickly backed away, as he didn’t want to give the creature a little fright.
“Uh, hello Steve?” Nico said hesitantly.
Nico laughed a little, realizing he had fallen prey to her joke, “Oh, well, I like to think of pets as little people. I never really had one of my own.” That was partially true, as the dog his parents owned died a couple years after he was born.
“Oh?” Nico said a little sheepish knowing he had already touched the frog. He placed his hand on it, and found it to be rather cute. A couple moments later, Nico said, “Wow, I think I want a frog of my own now. Of course, I wouldn’t know where to start when it came to taking care of it.”
Another moment, “Do you think Steve likes me?” He realized it was a stupid question as he asked it, but he still awaited a response.
“Hey hey hey campers!” I skip into the middle of the camp, surrounded by everyone who decided to attend.
“Thanks SO much for coming! I can assure you, you’ll find the love of your life in no time!” A little snort is heard from Gale, the other camp manager. He hasn’t really had success with his love life, so he disregards everything that goes on here; but surprisingly decides to stay anyway. I’ve never really known why.
“Let’s get this welcome party STARTED!!!” I shout happily, whilst standing on one foot. “Now, each individual camper will be receiving tasks tailored personally for them . This is designed to help get you out of your comfort zones and come across who you’re destined to be with. Let’s begin!”
ORP: If you’re in mid conversation, just act like this is an interruption. I’ll be sending you your soulmates privately BUT your characters don’t know yet. Keep that a secret your activities will also be sent via dm. (This is the time skip). It may take me a while to tell everyone the info
“Fate?” William smiled. He didn’t know if it was a joke she made or not, but he liked. Judging by her look he decided it wasn’t ironical but he still wanted to comment on it. “Destiny and Fate. Sounds like a great duo. Like you were destined or fated to meet. By the way your eyes glow when you look at each other, I’d say it’s quite so.” His Northern accent mellowed as he said the next words. “You seem like the person to make somebody forget they were abandoned and wounded, so the two of you make a great pair. Look he’s already happier.” He noticed realizing the broken spirit she mends won’t be his but the dogs. But that causes him to think and he thinks why should it be her job to fix him, it was never what he wanted. He wanted to be fixed, and he can do it himself, but it took Destiny’s words to give him the strenght to try, and it will take her to be there for him as he does, because nothing will change if he will just expect her to magically fix everythign and him do nothing.
As he was thinking about joining in petting the puppy he was interrupted while his hand was mid air, reaching gently towards Fate’s head to scratch it. It was the announcement by their camp leader, but they weren’t close to it since they decided to stay outside when others entered immediately. They could still hear every word. When the annoucement was over William withdrew his hand and said “Well, you heard the lady, we better get going, our tasks await us.”
Ai had gone to get dressed for the party, somewhat excited. She’d never gone to a party before, and was slightly nervous. Ai walked into the party, looking around nervously. She had received a text containing tasks, and she headed over to the Buffett table to complete the first part of her task. She got a plate, getting things she liked. She then sighed, getting a habanero pepper and taking a bite. She quietly chewed, before her eyes widened. “Ahhhh! Atsuidesu! Koshō wa atsuidesu!“ Ai yelped, pouring a glass of milk and chugging it. She looked around for someone to talk to, and spotted a beautiful white haired girl. Ah, the second part of her task. She walked over, smiling awkwardly. “Hello. I love your hair. It’s very pretty.” @Kristi - Kakòlin
“Hot! The pepper is hot!”
Destiny laughed, “Well, I certainly think so! And so do you, if it wasn’t for you, this little guy might not have survived.” Destiny continued to pet the dog and care for him when someone who was in charge spoke to everyone. “Tasks, huh, well I better go see what mine is.” Destiny began to walk away but with a look back and a soft smile she said, “It was very nice to meet you, William.”
Destiny went towards the announcer and got her card with the task on it. Just as she opened it up and began to read it, a very eager person bumped into her, causing her to fall and lose her glasses. "I believe an ‘excuse me’ is in order. She said as she stood up and finished reading the task. “Oh…Oh my, that’s…that’s very, I’ve certainly never done that before!” Destiny then folded her back up and remembered, “Oh, my glasses!” She felt around and quickly found them. With a busy schedule and not a lot of time, Destiny hurriedly went to the store and salon.
Two hours later
Destiny looked in the mirror, shook her head, and bit her lip nervously, “I can’t do this! I mean, I’ve done some pretty wild stuff, but I’m not that bold, I’m an English teacher for Pete’s sake! I like books and, and, fireplaces, and writing my novel.” She paced her room and sighed, “Would my soulmate really be interested in me, wearing this? Every guy I’ve ever met would be interested in me wearing this!” Destiny tried her best to calm down, “Well, hopefully, there’s an open bar and that it’s well stocked! Because I want people believing they were drunk and imagined it when they see me in this!” She put on a trenchcoat and went towards the sound of music and colored lights. When she got to the door, Destiny reluctantly hung her trenchcoat up and made a beeline straight for the bar, not stopping for anything.
Kalon smiled as she saw her task, fortunately it was something than on a Monday or Friday Kalon would usually do. But she could make an exception for today, she will do it on a Thursday. She wore a blue gothic corset that fitted her perfectly, a blue lace crystal chocker on her neck and dark blue boots with stars on them. She looked fantastic, like always- you can’t cause mischief if you ain’t cute. she let her long straight white hair flow on the back as she walked to the party. The party took place in this big cabin in the camp. Hmmm, who would be her victim?
“Hello. I love your hair. It’s very pretty.” Kalon eyes widened, she hadn’t seen her coming, had the dark haired girl sneaked on her? Either way, it didn’t matter. The girl hadn’t ignored her so that was a plus for her, “Thank you, and you must excuse me for this, but-” Kakòlin flicked her fingers, and a man holding red wine tripped on his cloak and splashed the wine on the Asian girl clothes. The man stood up groaning as he held his back, “Oh my, that must have hurt.” She smirked as she looked at the man. “Kakòlin, my name is Kakòlin.” She told the girl as she turned around.
Deshawn wasn’t really one to randomly come up to a girl and flirt, but today looked like a fine day to do so? Right? yes? Anyways, he dressed up in a light blue suit and made his way to the party. But before he did that, he grabbed a pen and on his hand wrote on his arm.
Hi, I guess you’re my soulmate. I wonder what you’re doing?
He cringed on how soulless that sounded but didn’t know what else to write and what if he might offend her? sh!t he shouldn’t have written before her.
He had tried writing to his soulmate a few times before this, but it was always a 48% chance they’ll answer but with the moon goddess somewhere in the camp, it was a 99% chance they’ll answer. Deshawn guessed that was why a lot of people came here. As he walked into the party he did a little wave, just greeting the viewers if they’re seeing me
As soon as Deshawn entered the bar, he made his way to the bar to grab a couple of drinks and see which girl he could talk to. His eyes almost fell from his pockets as a lady approach the bar table, her outfits was a little too revealing- ok who was he kidding? The outfit was really revealing, leaving only one or two things to the imagination. He could see literally everything, for moments like this he was glad for his dark skin as he asked the waiter for two drinks. One for himself, and one for the ‘revealing’ lady’ he walked towards her, “Hey, this camp sure is amazing, it’s not always I see someone as gorgeous as you.” He looked at the second drink he was holding and with an arched brow, “Want ahh.” He paused staring at her top area, before heat rushed to his face and he turned around “Want a drink?” He finally asked.
Ai smiled when the girl thanked her. “Of course.” Then when she apologized for something, Ai barely had time to blink when wine was spilled on her. She sighed, shrugging. “It’s ok. Was it a task?” She asked, summoning some spirits to help dry her off. She then pulled the man to his feet, calling a spirit to get him a new glass of wine. “There.” Ai turned back to the girl just as she introduced herself. “Pretty name. My name is Ai.” @Kristi - Kakòlin
Emma nervously adjusted her gloves, knowing this was a terrible idea. What if her gloves fell off? Well…it was doubtful that would happen, but still. She then got a text, gulping. Oh no. This was bad. Well…it wouldn’t be that bad, would it? She walked over to a bed, sitting down. She soon stood up, going over to make a drink. She then went over to hand someone the drink, smiling. God, she hated this. Approachable
