Charlie’s hand felt weak in hers, but she kept holding tightly onto his. She couldn’t bring herself to let go, as this was all she could really do for him.
“I’m… going to… die” Charlie’s voice was barely audible, but the words startled Isabelle. She couldn’t let this happen. There were tons of people around, were none of them going to help?
The newcomer who had shown up still wasn’t doing anything, despite Charlie’s worsening condition. “Do something!” She stared into his eyes, her anger slowly building, causing her to start tensing her arms.
