What I also can recall is Avatar with the face stealer. That episode gave me the creeps.

Aang needing to wrestle with the idea of killing a man for the greater good, as well.

Like, thereā€™s a whole episode on that plot point for one, but then in the actual final battle he has the chance to murder the Fire Lord. He all but has a loaded gun pointed at his head, and choosing not to is shown as the correct option.

God that show gets dark, but itā€™s so good as well

It was a dark show, but it was indeed a good show. :slight_smile: Also, Aangsā€™ death was shocking as well.

Yeah if we get into Legend of Korra (Itā€™s a bit past my time, but I still love the show) there are a ton of way more dark moments due to it having a later time slot.

A woman gets the air ripped from her lungs and suffocated, the main character has PTSD for a whole season because of physical torture, someone gets their head blown off on camera.

Not to mention it has LGBT REPRESENTATION, the most dark and disturbing thing for any child, of course

Personally I watched just one season of LOK, so I canā€™t know any dark moments.I loved the original more. :slight_smile:

We can agree AtLA and LoK were very dark and serious kidsā€™ shows, I feel xD

I personally prefer Korra as a whole just for the last season, but I can see enjoying the original more. Theyā€™re both top notch

Almost every Disney movie starts out with death or has a family member dieā€¦Bambi and Lion King being the top contenders.

Swan Princess - Odetteā€™s father dies after being attack by Rothbart

Scooby-Doo and Zombie Island - The whole cat-people thing was freaky

Danny Phantom - Dark Danny and all the insanity of that show but I still love it
