I heard a noise an ran outside to see Lester run off. âLESTER!â I yell and follow him, only to see Dan with the Blazecrown wolves and the two who were with the hawk before. Also there was a familiar wolf. âSpyteâŚâ I said calmly. âAh, my dear sister in law or should I say; the abomination my so called brother called his partner in lifeâ he growls. I shrug and walk to the girl, putting my hands around her before gently opening it. I then see itâs his stone. âHow did you get this?â I hiss. âohâŚwho knows?â He only said. I took the Onyx from the girl and put it in my pocket. "Sorry, but you shouldnât assosiate with that wolf. âLeaveâ I then demand to Spyte. he puffs but turns around as he realizes heâs now outnumbered. âMark my words little alpha, you thought your fight with fenrir was bad, get ready to lose every single guardian that is standing hereâ He said before they all run off. I let out a sigh and walk to Dan. âAre you alright?â I ask. âWould be better if Lux was hereâ He joked and eyed at the pink wolf. âEveryone to the cabin, you two as well!â I said sternly and help Dan up before turning to the girl and give her a gentle smile. âI understand youâre shocked and scared, letâs get you some answers,â I said friendly.

I let the girl take the onyx, which she put in her pocket, telling me to follow her and sheâll give me answers. I nodded silently, standing up and following her.

Nova nodded, listening to what Vermont said and answering to it. Observing whatâs going on she sat back down before hearing a yell to see Lester go after it. She followed him quietly to see what was going on. Soon after Delia followed as well. She then cane out of the shadows once realizing what was happening. Looking at the mess that had just happened and the girl who almost became partnered with the one⌠wolf. Thank god it didnât happen just yet. Now she is just as freaked out as she could be which was also not too good. She was fired up at the threats that were thrown at them, but kept her composure for the sake of it. Listening to Delia she led them back up to the cabin in hopes to get this all settled out as easily as possible even if it wasnât gonna be that easy.

âLux? Do you need a healer? I can help with my power.â Vixen said absent mindedly. She really wanted to help anyone she could, not really remembering the limitation on powers in the human realm. The girl had an onyx stone? She would of made a great partner I think. or at least she would have

Spyte was here? Yay! though he is nothing Like I remembered Delia was a beta though was also partner to a fellow alpha, Carter reluctantly followed her orders. He both respected and feared Snow Dark. Carter needed answers to what happened to his idol there was only one way he was going to find at that was see what Delia would say at the cabin.

I sigh and as soon as we arrive back at the open space, I sit down in the grass, gesturing everyone to do the same. "okay, let me explain what just happened" I said with a sigh. "for those who do not know..." I said looking at the girl and the boy. "The boy knows, it's just the girl" Dan explained and I nod. "then for you, what you've seen and going to hear, is suppose to stay hidden from anyone other than a few chosen ones" I explain. "You see these wolves, and I are from a world where wolves have special powers" I said. "at some point their powers start to develop and an gem is created. This gem is a solid version of their power and life essence. This is part of their life. however, in this world, those powers need a extra output...humans. you can compare it with the power being electricity and humans being a lightbolb. The way wolfs get their partners has to be by destiny, not by choice. After they have proven to be ready, their gems are send to this world and the search for their partners begins. Most of the wolves here don't have their partners yet, but the stones have been send" I continue. "Those wolves are however not part of us. They are outcasts. They have been banished from the wolf world and send to this world. They don't have their gem, which means they are just normal wolfs. That wolf in particular, however, has been exiled for something unfair and out of his hands. You see, if a wolf has a power that brings nothing but harm, they get banished by an ancient old rule no alpha can go against. He's been angry ever since and since he's my partner's brother, who's the alpha of a big pack, he's been working on getting back and taking over with the help of other exiled wolves. They are dangerous and the fact that he got his paws on his stone proves it even more" I said. "it's a good thing you didn't end up as his partner...he's been twisted over the years" I said sadly.

âAre you sure Girl? I heard you accept his offer.â Carter growled out. He was unsure if she could understand him or not he didnât care. Spyte was banished because of his power? Will that happen to me? Danâs partner wasnât banished he has the same power as me. Cater couldnât stand the thought of his pack getting hurt for something he had no chance of changing.

I eyed the dark gray wolf, growling as I heard Delia call my name.
She ran towards us and spoke with the wolf. Spyte she called him.
I kept my eyes on Spyte, watching his every move.
Spyte ran off and my guard lowered.
âWhat just happened?â I asked following Delia to the open space.
I laid down and looked around at the other wolves.

I sign. âWell seeing how you already know about us, you might as well drop by when you want toâ I said. âDelia are you sure, donât go all âback to the old daysâ with meâ Dan said. âTo be fair, All those times I didnât have a choiceâ I point out. âNow, for those who donât know, let me introduce me and my friend here. My name is Delia, Iâve been partners with Snow Dark. Iâm a half breed, which is why Spyte called me an abominations. Together with Snow and Dan over here, weâve fought against Fenrir, a wolf who, just like Spyte, was banished because of his power. During the battle everyone except Snow and I lost their connection with their wolvesâ I said. âNigro, my partner is currently in a hypersleep back in the wolf realm. As for the othersâŚâ Dan said and took a deep breath. âTwo friends of ours Isa and Nate both lost their partners. Nate is fine but Isa also lost all her memories. Mare and Aira who were partnered up with Quo and Cielo also died but they moved on. Blaze, the wolf who was partnered up with Mike, did survive but in exchange, Mike died and Blaze retired because getting a new partner was too painful for himâ he said and then looked at Carter, Vixen and Adriana who we know are the next generations of our dear friends.
I then turned to Lester who asked what happened, assuming he meant Spyte I sigh. âHeâs the reason weâre all here right now. Spyte is trying to get into the wolf realm and heâs trying to create an army to back him up. Now that we know heâs been trying to get a partner, thereâs a big chance other wolves might have partners as well. In the meantime, wolfs that idolize him are trying to attack wolves like us who want to partner up with humansâ I said.

I smiled at the girl. âI think for the new partners itâs going to be nice to have someone here whoâs also new to all this and can help them adapt. Dan and I were there before, but weâve gotten used to it so since itâs been 5 years, we donât really have that ânew perspectiveâ anymoreâ I explain.

I chuckled at the girl. âWell for some of us, being part of the wolfs world and becoming partners with them gained them a new family,â Dan said and I nod. âI really donât know where I would be right now if I didnât run into Dan and Snow right after the accidentâ I sigh. âI still think the fact that you walked so far with a piece of glass in your leg, is what made Snow accept you as his partner,â He said. âHonestly, when he attacked me, I wasnât even really scared now that I think back, I was ready to have him attack me and kill me right then and there, but you jumped inâ I point out. âSo if you feel like this is home, Iâm sure it will become one. Plus if you need a place to stay, the house has about 10 beds, but some rooms have 2 or three in them so youâre going to have to share. I know Nate and Isa told their parents they were camping with friends all summer and just crashed at that cabin back when it was all rotten and warn downâ Dan chuckles.

âI appreciate the offer. I have my own apartment, but I may stay here sometimes just because. My parents kindaâŚabandoned me, so I had to live on the street for a bit.â I say, my voice dropping when I mentioned my past.

I nodded and smiled at her. âhonestly, my parents werenât the best either, but mostly because they were too obsessed with their work as geologist and gemologistâ I said. âYet 30 minutes before I met Snow and Dan, I lost them in a car accident. And even though all we ever did was fight and I never got what I wantedâŚI still miss them to this day and see their dead faces from time to timeâ I said softly.

âIâm sorryâŚthatâs terrible. My parents are unfortunately still alive. Theyâre highly conservative and when I came out and told them Iâm an atheist, they kicked me out at age seventeen. I had to live on the streets because I refused to go into a group home. Iâm not a people person.â I told her.
