Debate: Which is the Best Genre?

Also I’m so sick of authors who justify the bad boy’s attitude using mental health. No, Christian Grey. You’re just a creep.

I don’t get the point of 50 shades of grey

Your not wrong with that . Which is another reason why I semi prefer mystery out of the two.

Don’t get me started on just how wrong BDSM is portrayed in that crap heap.

Tell me about it! These guys have no emotional maturity. Loads of people have hard pasts and it doesn’t turn them into selfish, emotionally abusive morons. How is that sexy in any way?

And all the flagrant abuse, bad portrayals of very real subcultures, horrible writing, plagiarism, abuse… Plain, boring sex scenes.

Like even if you admit reading it as erotica, you’re losing out. It’s bad erotica

We probably all wrote better stuff than Twilight when we were kids, and that’s like Twilight rip-off crap

Yes!!! Also, when their behaviour is justified by a mental illness, people will get the idea that that mental illness (which is usually depression) turns you into a brute. Also, they usually smoke and then they make out with a girl and I’m like “Poor gal she must be freaking suffocating”. Just, how can you stay closer than a meter to someone who just smoked!?!?!

Do you really know what I hate?! The casual slut shaming that usually comes with the whole she changed him trope. That all the other girls are “easy” and she made him wait and that’s the thing that gave him the chance to fall in love. Puke. I’m breaking that fish with The Queen of Freaks. NOPE

That makes me assume you have read it… if so WHY! I don’t understand why peeps would read those books.

I know right, I get Asexual people, and I get the more conservative approach to sex and sexual activity but come on.

Sex isn’t evil you know

I read them to write a scathing critique so a friend of mine wouldn’t. She did not read them after that
