If I really liked the name, and wanted to honour the family member, then yes.
Creativity, pronunciation, and probably originality while keeping it simple.
I will not be doing this with my child. My parents did that to me, I hate it, I’ve had my name changed. It was impossible for anyone to pronounce and it didn’t fit my personality once I grew up.
Popular and modern names. Such as Taylor, Samantha, Sophia, etc. I’ll probably end up giving my child a name from an older era with no religious ties.

I think a name can say a lot about a person.
People joke a lot about someone who’s a typical ‘Karen’ at the moment, but let’s be honest we all have those people.
People calles Steve/Stephan/ etc are also a type.
Same with names like Jessica, Britney, etc. they are always the rich popular b!tches,
Chad’s, those are a type as well…
If I say ‘he’s an uncle Ben’ you also get an image.
it’s why I like to give my characters unique names or names that have something to do with their personality.
