Oh. Awesome
I think that public transportation is a good thing, but it can be a lot less convenient that driving yourself. I don’t tend to use it that often, and I haven’t had any particularly memorable experiences on public transportation. Definitely not an ideal time to be using public transportation, however, given the pandemic.
Uh I really do not have much to say about transport to be honest. I don’t drive so I really don’t have any opinions on the matter except don’t drive through my county. People can’t drive plus we have a-types and b-types of people in my county. I mean some one ran into the giant sign on my exit…there is some much room that the accident should never have happened in the first place.
I had to take the public bus to school if my mom was working too early to drive me. I didn’t really mind the bus, it’s just that one of the routes I could take was always ALWAYS ridiculously filled in the morning and after school. In the morning, there’s only one bus every like 20 mins or so, and I have gotten on the bus and watched as we drove past students waiting at bus stops after mine, just 'cause it was literally too full. It’s muchhh better after school, where there are three buses that come right after each other.
Bump!
Has corona affected how you view public transport? Do you still use it?
O M G. Okay here’s my time to rant about the bus I took to school and a certain group of girls on there. OMG I’m already mad thinking about it, this will be fun.
my rant about the bus
So my bus, out of all the different buses to my school, is also shared with another school. Me and my friends sometimes sat on the back of the bus, because there were never any other seats and there were a group of really young boys from the other school who always ‘accidentally’ crashed into people. Which was never fun. So we were at the back of the bus. Cool. No problem there.
BUT THEN these group of girls from the other school who were younger than us too started sitting at the back. Which is fine, fair enough, sit at the back, have a blast, I don’t care. H o w e v e r, they used to get on the bus before us, and when they got to the back, they used to spread out and put their legs and bags all over the seats to save them for their friends coming on the stops after us (despite there being a sign literally being them saying ‘no legs on seats’).
Me being too stubborn to just stand at the front of the bus, I would walk to the back and move their bags or something. They definitely retaliated, putting up several bags on one seat, or they would block the entrance to the back with their legs. I ranted about this to my parents and friends all the time, they very much enjoyed all the stories
I would also like to drop in the fact that this was a double-decker bus, but the other school basically ‘claimed’ the top part and no one from my school went up there. So, hopefully, you can see my annoyance here when they could have just gone upstairs. PLUS the bus was always at least half an hour late. Therefore after waiting at the bus stop for a long time… I want to sit down.
This is only the vague story. There were too many stories and details…
Okay cool, that’s it thanks for reading @no-one
Okay bye
Also the whole story in general is very relatable, sometimes my bus in the morning is a single decker and the high school kids all spread out and save seats, me being a very tol college kid would walk up to them politely and say “excuse me could you move your bag please” they’d stare at me like I was some kind of scum then I’d stare at their bag until they moved it people need to realise that busses don’t just belong to them, the seats are designed for 2 people and they are for everyone.
I did ask them to sometimes move their legs / bags, actually, I didn’t mention that in the first post - but I promise I am a good person and asked! But when they didn’t move their legs after asking… sometimes I sat there anyway.
AHh wait I just had a memory flooding back to me. I feel like I need to draw a diagram to make this make sense (I did that before, I had one sheet of paper with about 4 of the same drawing because I needed to explain the story to other people).
Here’s a basic diagram of the back of the bus (I know most people know what the back of the bus looks like… I’m doing it also for my benefit to help with the story)
Taken seat 1 | Taken seat 2 | Taken seat 3 | Open seat | Taken seat 4
Taken seat 5 | Taken seat 6 | entrance | Taken seat 7 | Taken seat 8
Okay, so I would obviously try to get the open seat, right? But also, on my stop was another one of the girls (who were part of their group) I’m going to say she’s GIRL 2. So I’m standing at the entrance, there’s a bag on the open seat 1, and behind me is the other girl on my stop. Their plan is that if I go to the open seat, the one on seat 3, GIRL 1, quickly moves up to that open seat and then the girl behind me gets seat 3. Leaving me standing like an idiot.
I hope that made sense, I definitely could have done that in a way it was easier to understand. But… who’s even reading this anyway?
So, they are obviously very excited to carry out their plan, HOWEVER, I decide to sit on that seat no matter what, okay? So I go over to the seat, as I’m sitting down, GIRL 1 starts moving up to my seat and she thinks that it will stop me from sitting there. But I am not a quitter >:( so I still sat there, I was sat on her coat. GIRL 2 sat down on seat 3… and now there’s 3 of us to 2 seats.
Then they were laughing as if I had done something wrong. And to that I say (I didn’t say it in real life… too scared) don’t be an idiot and try to sit in the seat I’m literally about to sit in ???
I’m pretty sure none of that made sense but it felt good writing about it.
YES. I said this multiple times to these girls.
I hope you farted on the coat
I think I actually did…
OMG I forgot to mention how literally every day without fail they flipped me off from the window when we got off the bus.
THAT WAS THE WORST PART
The worst part was the fact that I had to get off before them. So it looked like they had won. The amount of times I almost stayed on the bus (meaning I would miss school and be taken to their school) is crazy.
Oh yeah just go to their school and chill for the day, the amount of times I’ve been flipped off from a bus though, of course I’d do it back until I realised how dumb it looks to be stood in the street like that forturnately I’ve never had the problem of getting off first since all my bus stops I’ve ever had to use were “end of the line” or close to the end
I did the ‘play-it-cool shaking of the head’ act and prayed the bus would speed up when it started leaving.
Very lucky! I had to walk past all of them in shame.
no wayy
Very interesting
Ahaha it was by far the most interesting part of a school day.
