I normally never take a nap during daytime because I’ll just wake up even more tired than before but many of my friends say power-naps are really helpful. I used to take a nap in the afternoon when I was really young but I think all kids did that. One day, I just didn’t want to do that anymore and now I wish I could But I need a really long time to fall asleep and if I wake up after half an hour I’m still tired
How often do you nap?
Does it help you in any way?
I used to take naps in the afternoon, especially after coming home from work (except for the days I gave tutoring because I came home late). But usually I’d sleep for two hours and either wake up with a headache, or not be able to sleep at night.
During the first half of quarantine (March 17th-April 20th), I also took naps out of boredom, but since online teaching started, I’m busier than ever. Therefore, I hardly have time for naps except for on the weekends.
If I take a nap that lasts more than 2 hours during the day, I usually feel more tired than energized. After school I’m usually exhausted by the time 5 pm rolls in, I try to take naps but my mom won’t let me.
I used to think naps were just for kids… and my parents told me I shouldn’t take naps because it would affect my actual sleep. Well, my sleep cycle got really messed up and I end up getting soo tired in the day, like in some of the online classes I have trouble keeping my eyes open! So yeah, when I need it I take a 30 min to an hour long nap to recharge if I’m that tired.
If school was exhausting, yes, I would take a short nap but that doesn’t happen frequently.
In this current situation, I don’t take naps because it would just mess with my sleeping schedule.
I really don’t want to take naps after school but it is what it is…
I don’t really nap unless I have a migraine. Even then, it’s lights out until several hours later. There are times when I have zero motivation or zero desire to interact with humans, in which I will “lock” myself in my room (my bedroom door doesn’t lock) and hide from the world, but I won’t nap.
