Divergent roleplay official thread

If you want to sign up and haven’t already go to the sign ups to do so.

Rules;

  1. General Roleplay rules
  2. no homophobic or easier characters. I don’t care that this is “just a roleplay,” in trying to avoid drama.
  3. i don’t mind helpful criticism but no discrimination of other people please.
  4. no goddmoding. If it’s not your chatacter, then don’t control them. Simple as that.
  5. pm me about a major plot twist that will affect other rpers.
  6. No lone ORPS (out of character posts) on the main thread! This thread is for roleplay posts only anything else belongs on signups or attached to the bottom of one of your posts.
  7. Respect your fellow role players and their decisions

It will be quite a free range roleplay, a bit like how the hunters 15 over in episode is. Except I will post major plot twists, so feel free to plot and plan side plots for your characters.

Welcome, young person! Tomorrow you will be taken into the grand hall, where you will choose the faction you wish to live in.
Please remember that you are 16 years old, and have lived with your parents your whole life.
I wish you all the greatest luck!

All the 16 year olds are outside yeh test building, having already taken their tests. It’s your choice wether or not to share the results.

Callie Hernandez

Callie stepped out of the building, feeling even more confused than when she had entered it.
Callie has been one of the first finished, so she decided to wait outside and talk to some of the other people as they exited the test building.

She was confused by her test results. She was at a loss as to were she belongs. She noticed another person looking just as confused as she was. Mae approached her. She said “Hi, you confused about the test too?”

Callie turned to look at the girl. “Not the test, more hits that my results aren’t what I hoped they would be.” She explained, scuffing her shoe on the dirt.

I fiddled with my shirt and walked out of the building. I didn‘t expect that results and I don‘t like them either. I hope that won‘t affect my decision, my thoughts are a mess. I rubbed my lips together and looked around. A few people left the building too, they all looked kinda confused.

Charlotte took a step out of the building, her heart rate slowly quickening. She could feel nauseous, seems like the rest had some sort of an effect on her. She took a few more steps forward, inhaling a deep breath, and closing her eyes for a second.

What should she do?

She was genuinely confused. And so lost. A feeling she was used to, but this time, the feeling was so much stronger. She wasn’t really focusing on her surroundings that much.

But she had to make some sort of a decision. Because it could change her life for good. She sat down at a bench, and breathed out slowly. She looked down, fiddling with her slightly worn out, plain grey dress.

Callum excited his test, happy with the results and looking forward to choosing his faction tomorrow. But with a quick glance around, he could tell that a lot of people were anxious.
He saw a girl looking like she was about to have a panic attack and walked over to her.
Callum sat down on the bench and spoke gently. “Hey, are you alright?” He asked her.

Charlotte raised an eyebrow and turned her head slowly, to look at the person who was talking to her. Alright? Quite far from it. She let out a small sigh.
“No.” She said, bluntly. She looked away.
“Not really.”

He smiled thinly. “If you don’t like your results you don’t have to follow them.” He said.

She raised an eyebrow, slowly. If only he knew.
“It’s not that simple” She sighed and looked away again. She fiddled with her dress again and gulped.
“But you wouldn’t understand.” She stated.

He smirked. “Try me,” he said. Callum bet he would understand the problem.

She rolled her eyes a little.
“And as if I would tell you” She mumbled. She coughed. No, she has to be a little kind. It’s part of her faction, but does she really care? No, not anymore. Maybe this decision won’t be so bad…she just has to be careful.

Callum rolled his eyes. “Good luck in your new faction stiff,” he said as he got up and walked away.

She frowned. Stiff?! She hates it when people call her that. She pressed her lips together and rolled her eyes. Let’s just hope he’s not part of the faction she’s…planning to choose. She stood up, and crossed her arms. Mother and Father will probably be wondering where she is. She should probably go home soon. She took a quick glance at the boy as he walked off. Hm…She thought for a moment.

He began to make his way home, he couldn’t wait to tell his parents what his results were. And of course have dinner… he was STARVING.

She slowly made her way back home. She walked inside, and her Father was reading the newspaper.
“You took your time.” He said. She gulped. He closed his newspaper and sat upright, rubbing his chin. He took off his glasses.
“And how did the test go?” He asked, bluntly. She shrugged. She has to act…normal? So he wouldn’t notice something is off.
“It went okay.” She said.
“And what were your results?” He asked. She pursed her lips the slightest.
“You will find out tomorrow, Father” She said and looked away. His expression changed a little.
“Go help your Mother in the kitchen” He said and picked up his newspaper again. She failed to understand from a young age, why he was always so cold with her.

He got home eventually and was greeted by his younger brother. Jason (his brother) said that the parents where “off on a mission or job or something” as he usually did. Callum groaned and just went to get food. His younger brother was such a prick, he belonged in abnegation.

I sighed and walked into the kitchen. Mother smiled.
“Come on, cut these vegetables for me” She said, softly. I nodded and started cutting some. But my mind was somewhere else. All I could think about was that aptitude test. I bit my lip a little. No one could find out. The women said herself what I am, is dangerous. What if I hurt the people around me? I gulped. I don’t want that. I sighed and looked down. I closed my eyes for a second. These thoughts are killing me. I know I don’t belong in abnegation. But what if it’s the safest choice I have? I accidentally cut my finger, and gasped quietly. Mother sighed.
“Charlotte, be careful” She frowned a little and took the knife from me. She washed away the blood and put a bandage around my finger. I pressed my lips together. But what if I want to take the risk? I narrowed my eyes.

I walked out of the building, breathing out. I rubbed my face. A huge wave of relief washed over time. That feels…better. My results were simple, and straightforward. Thank god. I suspected I’d have gotten some other result. And I think I am almost certain was faction I’m going to choose. I looked around. Hm…yeah, people seem quiet nervous. I noticed a certain girl who seemed more nervous than the others. I swear I’ve seen her in my faction before. Hmph. I slowly walked up to her. Ah.
“Candor born, right?” I asked, noticing her black and white attire. Yes, she is.
