yeahh lol idk it’s just a nigerian thing, my dad looks at a nigerian and knows their tribe and when we walk the street, nigerians we don’t know come us and greet us in their language. like i recall i was at a soccer field a boy ran up to my dad, fell down on the grass (as a sign of respect) and was greeting him in a very traditional manner

I wanted to make a black character, and I guess I wanted to use an African fairytale because then I knew the parent would definitely be black too. You know, it’d be odd making a black child of Snow White, so I want to make sure they are actually black.

black people have been displaced from slavery so they can be wherever in the world they need to be. that’s why people say they’re black and african-american and not specific things like nigerian, ghanian, congo, etc. etc. they don’t know their history and they’re in every county + continent on earth through slavery and travel. so afaik snow white’s illegimate kid is black (and i say illegimate only bc we know the ethnicity of her partner)

It just…the Snow White I know is white along with the prince. I feel like I should be true to the fairytale. It wouldn’t hurt to break things, but it feels…wrong. I am by no means trying to be insensitive.
