COLM MCCANN
Colm listened carefully, their head tilted slightly as their thoughts ran a mile a minute. Top priority was to not freak Brooks out too much, they had done more than enough of that to themselves.
“Like I said,” Colm replied gently. “In the future, maybe something like that can happen. I just like to take things slow, is all.” Colm shrugged, giving Brooks a smile as he did so. May as well be as nice as possible, after all.
“Im just sorry about the whole thing. And I should probably go. You probably don’t want to see me again and I get that.”
Scoffing slightly, Colm shook his head. “Alright, slow down. Your thoughts are probably going faster than mine and that’s good for no one.” He began, shrugging slightly. “You made a mistake is all. It wasn’t even a huge mistake, just a clash of emotions.” He explained gently tilting his head the other way to try and figure out what the kid was thinking.
“I’m not like the people who hurt you in the past.” Colm added, knowing the statement was a gamble but more than ready to take it. “You don’t have to worry about making mistakes with me.”

OLIVE MCCANN
Glad to see that the boy was following her, Olive kept walking, slowly enough that he could keep pace. This is one of the few times I’m glad of that attractive aura. Olive thought to herself with a small smile. A gift from her parents, whomever they may be, was that majority of people felt some sort of pull when confronted with Olive. Herself, she considered it more of a curse, especially as majority of the attention was very unwanted.
“I am Ewan.”
“He speaks,” Olive said, chuckling to herself. Play nice. Not much further now. “I’m Olive. Nice to meet you,” She added, flashing a grin over her shoulder. He didn’t allow himself to get too close to her, unfortunately. No matter, judging from his crutches he wouldn’t be running very fast any time soon.
Moments later, Olive entered an unused classroom. Even better, the door was heavy, and didn’t have any windows. She pushed the door open, standing in the doorway while she waited for Ewan to enter first.
“It’s quieter in here,” Olive explained, shrugging. “Good enough place for you to calm down and all.” Poor, poor Ewan.
