The girl’s smile was oddly wide. “Say, is something wrong? Your face seems to be contorted in an unnatural fashion,” Jara pointed out. She also mimicked the finger gun snapping motion, wondering why Alya did it.
“Oh, yeah… the Bertrum effect. I must’ve forgotten about it. Slipped away in the vast amount of Villain knowledge I have.”
Jara thought for a moment. She tilted her head and looked up at Alya. “Well, that’s odd. I wouldn’t call it villain knowledge. It can just be used to trick people,” Jara explained, “Where did you hear it called villain knowledge?” She was confused by Alya’s odd behaviour. She didn’t want to judge harshly in case she was just using different sources.
“You have an entire notebook for one individual book?”
“You know what, go for it.”
Jara watched as the girl disappeared. “Though, I’d love to guess where you are. I don’t think class is the most appropriate place for that. And no, it’s just twenty pages of notes for that one book. It’s specifically for my dark psychology notes,” Jara explained. She figured having Alya around to challenge her mind was a good thing. She also had cute hair.
“I’ve never been on either. Wonderland isn’t exactly known for its oceans. Well, there is one, but it’s dangerous. Really just a way to trick tourists,”
Jara grinned and looked Alya in her eyes. “How dangerous? Fun dangerous? Could we survive if we sailed through it?” Jara questioned. The dangerous ocean sounded interesting and like a fun test of strength and wits. “Also, is there something wrong with your neck? Do you need help with it? Does it itch?”
