School Hallways with Alec
His words were honeyed, full of flattery that would surely make people’s hearts flutter. Her heart was unmoved, however, and if she could, she’d roll her eyes. Men with words spoken in the way he did was a concept Mellona wasn’t an alien to, and while she can openly admit she is sometimes naive to it, you can never fool a seer like herself. Try me, boy, she thought, although she wasn’t sure if this was just this man’s definition of kindness, or he’s just poetic, or he’s just one of those people she always noticed around her mother.
The boy revealed his name as Alec. It was surely an epic name to have, but she wasn’t sure if “Alec” was fitting of the name. Thinking about that, a small giggle could be heard from her. If you’re one of the people who wonder if seers are non-judgmental people, you must have gotten your answer by now.
“I am Mellona, daughter of Manto.” she said as soon as she recovered from her silly thought, regaining her stance before. As she said that, she remembered she had a more important affair to attend to. Mellona wasn’t one to like being behind things, plus she wasn’t really even into a long conversation with a stranger. “And apologies, but I must go. I’m sorry for bumping into you again.”
