He blinked in confusion and Eudora turned away awkwardly, wondering why she had been so vocal. Now she would probably have to do even more explaining. “…does she not love you back or something? I’m sorry, I don’t understand the issue.” Isaiah sounded more embarrassed than Eudora was, though that didn’t calm her nerves. Instead, the question caught her off guard. Does she not love you back? It seemed to echo through her head a few times, keeping her frozen in her seat, mouth open slightly. Of course Alya loved her back. Still, insecurity began to nip at her heartstrings. “Of course Alya loves me back.” Eudora said, firmly, though her voice was a bit breathy. Almost as if she were trying to assure herself of this and not Isaiah. She was. He explained the blackened eggs, finishing with a joke. Was she expected to laugh now? By the look on his face, she was. She let out a bit of a nervous laugh, though she could almost see and smell those poor eggs. “How did you…” She trailed off. Was she sounding too much like she was scolding him? She was curious. Very curious.

Tristan’s laughter gave a suitable boost to Ace’s already-large ego. “The day that men find out why women do anything will be the day pigs fly.” His new friend declared, cracking his knuckles. He laughed again. “Good point. They’re so confusing, y’know? Wish they came with a manual or something.” Ace leaned back, as if he were exhausted just from the thought of how confusing women were. Then, realizing this comment might make it sound as if he didn’t know the first thing about interacting with a woman, he added, “I mean, they love me, so it seems I’m doing at least something right.” The knuckle cracking was getting a bit extreme now, but Ace didn’t seem to notice. Perhaps it was the growing up in a home with four brothers, or spending so much time in the locker rooms, but it was a familiar sound to Ace. Tristan asked about who Ace was seeing this evening-he was pretty much a pathological liar, so he just started making up some random, nonexistant girl on the spot. “Red hair, brown eyes, reeeeeally curvy. We’ve already hooked up in the past, so I know it’s going to be a great night.” Ace said, sounding very confident with his answer. All of this was a lie. But it wasn’t like Tristan would know, especially since he was new anyways.

Yeah, the two were definitely getting some weird looks. But Kellan didn’t even notice. He was used to these kind of looks-people squinting, rolling their eyes, laughing… mostly because he was always screaming and bouncing off the walls. It looked strange to some people, but it was just who he was. And he was, at the time, having fun with his best friends. Still, if he heard even a single negative comment about Katsu… Luckily, his ears weren’t picking up on anything of the sort. “I never took dance, let alone ballet, Kellan.” Katsu shook their head. “You know extracurricular things were usually frowned upon and shut down pretty quickly at my house.” They rolled their eyes-probably at how ridiculous the whole thing was-causing Kellan to roll his blue ones, too. Kellan, of course, was already aware that his poor friend hadn’t had many chances to learn arts or anything of the sort. While Kellan was allowed to try his hand at dance, cheer, and tumbling, Katsu was confined to dark chambers. Kellan was allowed to try theatre and painting, while that kinda thing would be laughed at and discouraged for the other. “I know.” He looked down sympathetically at his friend. He smirked playfully. “I’m all powerful.” He joked. In reality, though, being tiny and cute had always appealed to Kellan a bit more than being “tall”. Still, his height made him feel like a runaway model, strutting down the halls. Katsu pouted, and so did Kellan. “I swear, if he does anything to your clothes…” They both knew who ‘he’ was. They both wore large smiles as they walked down the hallways. Though Katsu mumbled that last part, Kellan was able to catch it, even though the hallways were full of different voices. “That’s soooo not true!! It’s not you, it’s them. People suck.” Kellan said, angry at whatever people weren’t interested in being Katsu’s friend. “It will be different now. So many people here are super nice!” Kellan said, though it wasn’t like he’d met everyone at the school or anything.

Kellan was happy to follow Katsu’s advice. If it didn’t go well, that wasn’t Katsu’s fault-either Kellan had executed the advice badly, or the person he was after was dumb anyways. Kellan was also good at giving advice-and was about to give plenty to Katsu. Though all of his potential relationships had…not gone well, he still felt like he gave decent advice on them. He supposed he had more experience than Katsu, though his track record was much, much worse. “Pshhh, you don’t need to know how. Just be your cute self and let them do all the work.” Kellan felt Katsu’s head on his shoulder. He really did hope the perfect person would come along. It wasn’t like Katsu had to make the first move, anyways. Really, they were so cute that Kellan was sure people would be falling for them left and right. “Don’t say that, girl! You know I’ll always come to you for advice.” Kellan said, as if horrified at the thought.

“Okay, okay. But can your dad do this?” Kellan put a certain kind of emphasis on the word ‘dad’, his tone became bitter. He lept into a pose, his fists in front of his face, then high kicking into the air. He was only trying to cheer Katsu up, though he did doubt the Horned King could do a high kick all the way to the top of his head. Though it would be fun to see.“Exactly!” Kellan said cheerfully. He hoped Katsu would be at the school for a long time-until graduation at least. He paused. That wasn’t a bad point. Kellan was not that great at telling either, so he didn’t know what to say. “Fair… I guess you should be careful… but not too careful, like, don’t underestimate yourself!! Like, people might just be being nice, but there will definitely be those who flirt with you.” Kellan babbled.

Ji-Woo shrugged when the boy guessed most people there were royal. “Yeah, probably. I’m guessing you’re not royal.” He sighed when the boy asked if his mom thought highly of herself and wanted to live through him. “Oh, definitely. You get it. Oh, by the way. My name’s Ji-Woo Gwan. What’s your name?” He said, bowing slightly while holding his hand out.

The monkey chattered and tilted its head when the girl gave back half the peach. She immediately ate it and jumped off of Saga’s shoulder and onto the mechanism for the door. She scampered off towards the right. When she was sure she was out of anyone’s sights, she changed back to her human form and began to climb the wall. Within moments, Moon was on the roof, running, jumping, and sliding her way across all the obstacles. When she got to the left side of the hallway door, she flipped down and landed into a roll. She sprung up and dusted herself off, making sure not to leave any trace she had ever been on the roof or rolled on the ground. She approached the door from the left and knocked when it was locked.

“I couldn’t find her, could you please let me in?” Moon asked politely.

Hmm, no overinflated ego, no lust for power… Grotto continued looking at the guy as he went through a checklist in his head. He narrowed his eyes once more, still going over the checklist as he interacted with this human. “No, I’m not.” Grotto said bluntly with a baritone voice. Grotto rolled his eyes but bowed respectfully in return, “If we’re using full names, then my name is the Grotto of Antiquities.” He waited for the inevitable laughter that usually followed. Grotto hated his name, he couldn’t wait till he was older and could officially be called the Cave of Antiquities.

Ji-Woo nodded when the boy said he wasn’t a royal. “I didn’t think so.” His eyes widened slightly when the boy bowed back. “Oh, you didn’t have to bow back, but thank you. It’s a custom of where I’m from when greeting people.” He explained, smiling. He tried to not show surprise at the boy’s name. “That’s pretty cool. Uh…can I call you Grotto for short? Sorry if you prefer your full name. Whatever you want to be called is fine.”

Sora
Sora could see a twinge of sorrow in Mare’s eyes when he had asked about siblings and their response had seemed generic but he didnt dare push. Sora didn’t want to make Mare uncomfortable and didnt know them well enough to know how they would act if he started to get overly personal. Sora shifted his wings slightly as they talked they were getting a little stiff from being folded shut for so long. Sora giggled as he listened to Mare’s surprise about Peregrin and essentially their father as well. “No im being honest my father can shape shift to a hawk as well.” Sora shrugged he honestly didnt know the logistics of how his father and brother shifted he just knew they could do it. “I don’t think it hurts if it hurt I don’t think he would do it as much as he did when we were younger.” Sora admitted but realized he had never even thought to ask Peregrin theses kinds of questions. “How is that a lame bird but I am cool and you seem amazed by my brother?” Sora asked genuinely confused.

Sora had to admit it wasn’t specifically Mare that had him overwhelmed it was kind of the whole situation he was trapped in while in the crowded hall. Sora knew he was tall and he honestly hated it, It made his anxiety worse because when you are one of the tallest in the room it is hard to hide or blend in at all. “Yeah I have hollow bones.” Sora repeated still seeing Mare utterly shocked at him. He smiled softly. “Its pretty big I mean it has grown with me so its definitely pretty accurate to my height.” He said trying not to tense up when she touched his wings it was something he didnt really just let people do because not only were his wings one of his biggest insecurities they were also one of the biggest causes to his anxiety right after crowds and people. Sora made sure that even though they were so delicate that Mare kept from touching the once broken wing. It still gave Sora quite a bit of pain sometimes.

Sora was relieved when Mare said they could go to class that was a nice break from the crowded halls. Sora turned towards Mare to see what they wanted him to look at . Sora giggled softly but covered his mouth hoping the little laugh had not offended Mare. Sora tried but his heart started to race faster than it should have. “No no can’t acknowledge that their are that many people in the hall.” He said taking a bunch of deep breaths and trying not to loose it. “Sure they might be caught up in their lives Mare and thank you but even though my brain knows you are right it says all these what ifs… Lets just go to the class room.” Sora says as he sticks close to the wall and starts to walk.

The gentle breeze brushed against Evelyn’s face, as she entered the school grounds. She pulled a small mirror out of her bag, checking her makeup and fixing her hair. After straightening her uniform and adjusting her bag, she walked down the path heading to the school. She looked up, gazing at the sunny sky, and the way the light shone upon the school. She smiled, admiring the view. This was an entirely new environment for Evelyn.

She opened her bag that was hanging off her shoulder, taking out the guidebook. She couldn’t wait to see her new room and meet her new roommate. After leaving home at last, she could finally have a room of her own, far away from home. Once she’d gotten there, Evelyn hoped she’d be able to redecorate her room to her taste. She walked down the path, distracted, as she flipped through the hundreds of pages, trying to find the room section.

And that was a mistake.

While she was walking without paying attention, she didn’t notice someone was walking in front of her. A quick collision occured. Although Evelyn managed to stay on her feet, she dropped the guidebook in shock. “I am so, so sorry!” she apologized to the stranger. “Are you okay?” she asked the person, smiling.

This was a horrible first impression! ~ she thought to herself, embarassed.

Don’t worry I won’t kill you, it’s not offensive and I also do wonder how they got together.” Quill let her relief set in, “thanks.”

“So, are you next in line right? Like for your dads throne or whatever he rules?” Quill was going to ask about her brother, and who would get the throne, but she assumed it would be Kristi and was just going to clarify.

Though, family can be a sensitive topic. Quill originally only took that half into account. Out of all people I should know that at least. Then, Quill had an epiphany, “most god’s don’t die right? So does someone even have to take over for your dad?”

Noe nodded when Alexia said she had Villain History. “Got it. That does make sense. Your parents are Titans, right? Sure, I’ll walk with you. You can probably get there faster because people tend to clear a path for me. They’re probably afraid I’ll step on them. I try really hard not to, though.” He explained.

“Oh, I just use ghost and spirit to mean the same thing. Though, I guess you could say that I’m a fox spirit, not a ghost…hmmm…maybe I should separate the terms from now on.” Hanako mused, shrugging. She’d just end up confusing herself if she thought too much about it. “What do you think we’ll learn in this class? I hope nothing too bad. I’m not even a villain.”

Krist let out a smile when Quill gave a relief look, “So, are you next in line right? Like for your dads throne or whatever he rules? Kristi looked away “gods don’t die, they can disappear though for millions and millions of years and so one day if something happens and Ekwensu disappears I’ll inherit it” Krist said but she wasn’t to sure, what if her brother inherits it? Kristi shook her head, she was the Ada, the first daughter and the first born and she was also ‘evil’ unlike her brother and so she would be the best choice for the throne. Her brother also wasn’t that much of a leader unlike her, he was more of a helper and follower.

“most god’s don’t die right? So does someone even have to take over for your dad?” Krist nodded “Like I said gods, well must. I read that there was a group of gods that died or something, Norse or something? Anyways, as I was saying they don’t die but disappear and yes like I said i will take over”

His words were honeyed, full of flattery that would surely make people’s hearts flutter. Her heart was unmoved, however, and if she could, she’d roll her eyes. Men with words spoken in the way he did was a concept Mellona wasn’t an alien to, and while she can openly admit she is sometimes naive to it, you can never fool a seer like herself. Try me, boy, she thought, although she wasn’t sure if this was just this man’s definition of kindness, or he’s just poetic, or he’s just one of those people she always noticed around her mother.

The boy revealed his name as Alec. It was surely an epic name to have, but she wasn’t sure if “Alec” was fitting of the name. Thinking about that, a small giggle could be heard from her. If you’re one of the people who wonder if seers are non-judgmental people, you must have gotten your answer by now.

“I am Mellona, daughter of Manto.” she said as soon as she recovered from her silly thought, regaining her stance before. As she said that, she remembered she had a more important affair to attend to. Mellona wasn’t one to like being behind things, plus she wasn’t really even into a long conversation with a stranger. “And apologies, but I must go. I’m sorry for bumping into you again.”

A slight smile graced May’s smooth face, and he nodded. Valentina got the vibe that he found it pleasant to converse with her-she felt the same way. Her smile was a bit larger than his, white teeth peeking out from behind full lips in a very friendly way. However, despite the friendliness, he took a small step back when she hovered closer to him, scoffing distrustfully. Valentina’s eyes widened, and for a moment, she looked a bit hurt. Did he think she was annoying? Perhaps she was being a little too pushy a little too soon. Shoulders slouching, she too, stepped back a bit. At least he responded. “Ohhh I see!” She tried to keep some pep in her voice after May explained colleagues meant his ‘friends from other kingdoms’. She supposed she had plenty of those as well. She grinned. Life is but a joke. What a marvelous saying! “I guess I shouldn’t be entertaining it either, but I can’t help it.” Valentina admitted. “I just can’t picture Wonderland being called anything else.” Of course, her mind was soon pulled away from that topic and towards the strange smirk May had on his face. Did he think she was silly? Was she too excited?

He nodded at her comments. Perhaps Valentina was a bit predictable, preferring romance above all things in all things-movies, books, in the world around her. She was her father’s daughter, and she wasn’t ashamed about it in the least. She had at least ten romance books stacked up on her desk. May opened his mouth. Was he going to share? Or was he going to refuse her, leaving her in the dark? Valentina tensed up at the thought. “I fell in love with-” Valentina’s brown eyes grew wider at every word May spoke. “-a book.” Her disappointment was not visible-it could not be, or he might stop talking to her altogether. “Such a romance I could be as I wrote every single feeling I had. Night and day.” He laughed-though it had the same tone as the scoff earlier. “Of course, I’m only kidding.” Valentina let out a silent exhale. Did this mean there was a different, more personal love story to be told? “That was beautiful.” She breathed, and it was. He spoke so poetically, and even though he had been joking, his tales reminded her of a love story. “I agree love is not lost.” Valentina said determinedly. “Tragedy? Do you feel you’ll never have that same love?” She asked more questions, eyes wide at how interesting this all was.

“You do?” He questioned. Valentina assumed this meant he was asking whether she really wanted to ‘dwell’ to his tragic love story-which she definitely did, with all of her pounding heart. “Spare me the tragedies, we came here to talk about sunlight, not the dawn of evening where the monsters thrive in. If you can, I might be able to tell you a little tidbit of my love. Love that is conditional, of course.” He really was a poet. “Have you ever written anything of your own?” Valentina mused, asking a question that was not really related to romance. “And of course I can.” She smiled warmly at the boy. She supposed she should go first. She was an open book, especially when it came to love. “Where should I begin? Maybe with my most recent love, yeah! I’ll start with that.” She smiled while she said this. Though her cheeks were pink, she did not show any signs of being embarrassed. “Last year, I met this amazing girl. She was so kindhearted, funny, sweet. She was my best friend.” The smile faded. “Of course, she didn’t feel the same way, but I’m glad I got to know her. I guess if we’re talking weather, she was like the sun. Always bright, cheerful, and there. The smile was again a wistful one. None of these crushes ever seemed to go anywhere. And while she loved the memories she was left with, sometimes, she wished for more-for someone she could make memories with forever. Someone she wouldn’t remember by only memories.

Mind if I walk you home? My mother always told me to follow my dreams

School Hallway

Alec looked at the blind girl, the emotion in her face showed that she didn’t quite like the name or that she didn’t think it fitted. Alec rolled his chocolate eyes, he was sure her name would be something bland and even if it wasn’t he would act like it is just to annoy her for trying to call his name in a way bland. “I am Mellona, daughter of Manto.” Mellona, the name rolled off his tongue sweetly like honey. After all her name did mean honey. “That name doesn’t quite fit for a girl like you, no offense. I imagined something like Halle meaning water, Aqua also meaning water, Cecelia meaning blind and Orela meaning the oracle” Alec eyes widened remember she introduced herself as the daughter of Manto, he had heard that name from Triton, his grandpa before. “Is she the daughter of Tiresias? Your parent, the one you introduce” He asked. As the girl was about to leave, he grabbed her wrist slightly not to hurt the girl. Realizing that was not very ‘princey’ of him as he promise he let go of her wrist, “My apologies, but you hadn’t even asked for who my parents were and I didn’t think we where done with this conversation. Also I told you, you don’t have to apologize for bumping into me” He said trying to act nice and princey. He coughed as he adjusted his leather jacket, that didn’t go well with the look he was trying to go with for a week or so. But he did look pretty hot with it, so what could he do? “Also please let me do you the honors of taking you to your destinations” he said, when he spotted two cute girls one with brown hair and the other with red he winked at them as they giggled, turning his attention back to Mellona he grabbed her hand slowly and put it to his chest.

Merthiel’s bushy brows deeply furrowed just as she settled down, her eyes following a loud group of boys who she thought could faint anytime. Honestly, why depend on anytime when she could just grant it to them right now? She rolled her eyes, which landed onto a girl who was obviously the cause of her annoyance. Well, good job to them—first minute into the class and they already annoyed her. She was about to open her mouth to shut them down; unfortunately for her, the teacher already shooed them away and they were gone.

Lucky the teacher saved your useless lives. She rolled her eyes again, deciding to just mind her own business. She was about to wave her hands on her table when her nose caught the smell of unfamiliar nostalgia, which soon prompted her mind to venture over old and tragic memories—those that led her to where she was now. She quickly snapped back to reality, eyes returning to its nature that resembled a dart, shooting it directly at whoever brought this smell. It seems like someone’s about to have their morning misfortune. Her hand was still in the air, and as soon as she realized they were up there like a friendly wave, she quickly swayed them over her table. A mist appeared, revealing a single notebook she probably wouldn’t even end up using for the day… and forever. “I’m giving you this opportunity to please move to another seat. And my name is Merthiel, which I hope you’ll remember along with my face so that you’ll learn where to sit the next time.”

Dorm Hall (?) with Evelyn

Though it was late into the school, Olinda still got herself admitted into this school. Well, whatever there—she was finally away and safe from whoever could recognize her, and she didn’t need to deal with constant worry. The uniform she was supposed to wear was apparently too short for her liking, and so she decided to return to her “dorm” room and changed into the dress she was wearing when she got here. Sigh. The dresses she brought weren’t even many, and they looked like they were about to die anytime sooner. I’ll speak with the authority right now.

Olinda let out a big sigh, determined enough to begin a conversation with whoever was the head of this castle-like building. She was confident about going through it easily and end it nicely to her favor. Plus who would have an angry exchange of words over a dress, anyway? And to add on to that, she’d seen a number of students who weren’t even wearing these uniforms. If they could do that, then so can she.

As she didn’t want to also be late to the classes, she lifted her dress and scurried through the halls. And while she did, she was thinking of words to use to convince the head of the school; however, her train of thoughts quickly dissolved when something—or rather someone—bumped into her. How careless! she thought, both scolding the person and herself. She held her stomach, her face showing sign of a small pain. Something hard had it it right to the middle—a book, of course. “Ow…” she groaned, looking forward to the person.

They were a girl—hair wavy and eyes blue as the sea. They were features she’d seen in a few people, but there was something that made her feel they were unique. They were enchanting. “Are you okay?” Olinda nodded, recovering from what just happened and took a deep breath. “Yes, I am…” she said, raising a brow at the girl’s smile. She looked down at the book she dropped, “…though I would recommend against reading while walking.”

Evelyn flushed red in embarrassment, kneeling to pick up her book. She placed it back in her bag, turning to the girl she collided with. For some reason, her features seemed familiar, though Evelyn couldn’t put her finger on it. Straight brown hair and dark eyes were pretty common, so it wasn’t too unbelievable. She put the thought aside for now.

"…Though I would recommend against reading while walking.” the stranger remarked, as Evelyn was dusting off her clothes.

“Right, my mistake!” she laughed nervously. “I was trying to tackle two things at once, I guess I was too distracted…” Evelyn fixed her waves, making sure to politely smile at the stranger again. “Again, I am so sorry! Why don’t we start over? I’m Evelyn.” she extended her hand, her sparkling blue nail polish glimmering in the sunlight.

Saga sighed after the monkey ate the rest of the peach. “If that was a random monkey, I’m so dumb,” she facepalmed. Saga simply stretched a bit as she waited for Moon to come back. She once again worried if Moon just planned to skip the period cause of her. Soon enough, Saga was in a rabbit hole of her thoughts and worries.

She didn’t even process Moon’s request to be let inside until ten whole seconds later. When she finally did, she shook her head to clear her thoughts and stumbled over. She opened the door and waved Moon to come back inside. “No… No, it’s completely fine! I had a lovely interaction with a wild monkey who I mistook for yours anyways! I’m more concerned about uh… never mind,” Saga shut herself up. She was near uncontrollably curious about Moons tail. But, she didn’t want to make Moon upset again. So, she bit her tongue, literally. Saga grimaced a bit but didn’t make a sound. Her hand instinctively went up to her cheek as she felt the lingering consequences of her actions.
