Calista nodded, hiding her smirk. After all, she was an experienced mage. She had 18 years of experience. But she held her thoughts, her remarks, her teasings, and gave a sorrowful sigh. She didn’t really have anything to say. I mean, this man just blatantly told her how to keep him from regaining control. And if she found a way to control his demon… well, he’d never be back in power.

She winced as he spoke, “Not use… just borrow.” And I’m not just planning on it, I will be doing it. He looked genuinely betrayed and Calista placed her palm on his cheek. “For what it’s worth, you’re one of the honest men I’ve ever met. Just… think of this as me doing you a favour. You won’t be at fault for whatever I convince your counterpart to do.” She almost felt sorry, once again. This man was… bringing out an undesirable side of her… one that was emotional and regretful and caring… a side that she wanted nothing to do with.

Though there was no physical transformation, other than his hands, which Calista wasn’t really looking at, she could tell that Dark wasn’t there anymore. His body was there, but something was different. It was powerful. Electric. Almost attractive, in a way. Sure, the boy was naturally pretty, but he no longer felt weak. Even as the figure licked his lips and grinned, Calista remained calm and collected. “I’m Calista, daughter of the goddess Circe; and you would be?”

He grabbed hold of her chin and she resisted the urge to slap him. She hated being touched by men without permission. The thought almost made her gag. Their disgusting and dirty hands they never bothered to wash. She was taken aback as he called her rotten… she wasn’t that bad. She didn’t want to kill anyone, just rule the world. But her composure stood as strong as a stone wall and she let a triumphant smile show as he agreed. Even if it was only because he was lonely.

She breathed as he let her go, and dared to look at the creature. “Before I say anything, you should know that you’re not going to like it, but I promise,” her eyes flashed gold, “that it will be worth it. First things first, you can’t let… Dark… take over. I can make something to keep you from looking like some immortal creature and more like a human. Unless you have some way to keep him from telling everyone that I’m up to no good. Secondly, you can’t keep attempting to kill students. We can’t afford to be caught. Meaning if you kill someone, Headmaster Grimm will be on you like that.” Calista snapped her fingers and a few purple sparks emerged. “We have one shot. Once we strike, we need to keep striking. They can’t let them regroup or form a strategy. And thirdly, as much as I believe in your abilities, taking over the world is no easy feat. There will be hundreds of gods trying to stop us, and that’s only the Greek. Forget Roman or Norse or Egyptian - and that’s only Earth. So, as much as I’d love for it to be just us, we’re going to need more people,” finally Calista finished. Maybe her plan wasn’t perfect. Maybe countless things could go wrong. Maybe this could even end in this demon killing her and her sister. But she couldn’t afford to think that way. Because if she did… she’d look weak, and this creature might not think that she’s up to the task.
