Startled, Tsuru stepped back slightly when the boy awoke, trying to stand. They quickly placed a foot on his chest, making sure he didn’t injure himself further. He muttered to himself, sitting up, then scrambling back when he saw them staring at him. He asked if they were lost, and Tsuru shook their head. They shifted back, thei feathers shooting back into their pores, their long beak melting into pink lips. After a minute, they stood there fully human again. “Sorry if scared you. Want to see if you ok.”
