FREYA LOCH
Freya watched in thinly veiled confusion as Kacie began seemingly having a private conversation with thin air. Surely, this was something Freya herself did from time to time, but not to this extent of obviousness, or at least she hoped not. On the flip side, it seemed that while Kacie had been surprised at Freya’s previous comment, she wasn’t making any obviously disgusted facial expressions. Unfortunately, Freya knew from past experience those facades could never be trusted. Never.
“Hey, maybe you could show me some time, I know a lot of animal languages, maybe you could teach me yours? I’ve only learned the woodland creatures’ languages but I’d be very interested to learn yours.”
Encouraged, Freya brightened slightly, nodding happily. “I’d be glad to”, she replied, grinning. “I don’t need to be in water to do it, so I could show you now, although your animals might freak out a little.” Freya continued, babbling on happliy before catching herself, forcing words back down her throat and schooling her expression to something more ‘normal’.

MEABH AND NEISHA
“What language is that?”
Although directed at Meabh, Neisha took it upon herself to answer Hilda’s question, as it was quite clear that their bickering had paused Meabh’s concentrating on their translator, so it would be a few seconds before the kid actually caught up.
“Irish Gaelic” Neisha added a small grin to the end of her statement. “Language of our ancestors and all that.” Rolling her eyes, Neisha laughed lightly before continuing, “I really love learning new languages, but the cac beag over there refuses to.” Neisha nudged Meabh once more; resulting in her receiving a kick in the shins from her sibling.
Tired of being left out of the conversation, Meabh rolled her eyes, and, beckoning to Hilda, moved away from Neisha and further into the library.
“We’re looking for any books of Irish magic, banshees and magical bindings.” Meabh explained, reading off of her phone. “I’m sure Neisha can handle that side of things. You could help me.” Meabh spoke simply, but her expression was kind at least.

AILBHE
Ailbhe gave Syrus an amused grin as he sniffed around, before ordering as she had initially suggested. He really must be a moron. This’ll be easy. As long as his friend doesn’t get in the way, that is. Sipping her tea, Ailbhe turned expectantly to Caspian, ignoring the food in front of her. Later. Maybe.
The latter human, or so Ailbhe assumed they were, seemed tiny in contrast to Syrus, small and shy. Much more human however, and more used to their surroundings seemingly.
“You guys know each other long?” Ailbhe queried lightly, hoping to learn more about her new aquaintences. “Bit new here, still learning the ropes and all that, how about you?”
Punctuating the question with a small laugh, Ailbhe waited for their responses. Keep it casual. Earn trust. Commence. Easy peasy.

THUC KIEU SINH
Pin’s responses left Thuc… conflicted, to say the least. Never being one to question anything, Thuc was now pondering his entire upbringing. As much as his love for his mother begged him to ignore it, Thuc couldn’t deny the undertone’s of truth in his apparent brother’s tone. It was not enough for him to consider a switch in allegiance, but it had certainly reminded Thuc that there was more to his life than could be assumed from a glass. There always was, in the end.
The boy took that moment to leave anyways, so Thuc’s response was of no consequence. Instead, he shook himself slightly, shoving all unperturbed thoughts to the back of his mind and watching the teacher idly as they walked in. Time for yet another class of boredom.

AESTHI LOCH
Aesthi simply nodded at Marc’s startement, smiling as xe did so. Sure, whatever you say. After spending majority of xys life trying to get as far away as possible from xys ‘monster’ origins, Aesthi couldn’t really bring xemself to care what they were, only how xe could get further away from them.
The teacher chose that moment to walk into the room, spewing words and queries alike. A small stone-like object began floating in the air too, which Aesthi would likely have passed off as normal except for the disjointed and awkward ways in which it floated, indicating it was likely that someone was holding it. Marc. The invisible b@st@rd /j.
“What a curious classroom.”
“Ha,” Aesthi laughed, shaking xys head. “You could say that. In my opinion the entire school is strange, this classroom being no exception.”
Marc’s next query dampened Aesthi’s lightened spirits, however, bringing xem to frown at where xe assume the boy was.
“Can you turn into a monster, then?”
“Yes.” Aesthi replied bluntly, glancing down at xys hands. “If you want a show though, you should ask my sister. She’s the one who uses her form. I don’t like it, myself.” Xe hated it, to be accurate, but while the truth required bluntness, there were lines Aesthi didn’t feel the need to cross. “Why do you ask?”
@Edelgard - Marc - no worries! I’m late too
AMELIA BJORGMAN
Amelia’s face fell into a slight frown as Vic did not react quite as she expected them to. No laughter at her joke, no blinking either. “You would be awesome in a staring contest.” Amelia noted, chuckling to herself. “I can barely keep mine open for more than a few seconds. Then they get itchy and all, you know?” Maybe they don’t. Shush before you annoy them.
“Funky? Having or using a strong dance rhythm. I was not dancing.”
“Uh… no.” Amelia considered for a moment. Well, some people are like walking dictionaries. You know some of them! Vic’s taking it a bit far though… NO. Don’t be rude. Don’t ask. They don’t like you asking. “I meant strange. But not in the mean way, like a lighthearted way of saying strange.” Blushing slightly, Amelia cleared her throat and did her best to focus on the rest of what Vic had to say.
“…obal act of the sacrament of matrimony. You believe that it is wrong for your matriarch to ask this of you, regardless of whether this is the way is has always been perform. Is this information incorrect?”
Walking dictionary. Totally normal. Don’t ask about it. Repeating the mini-mantra to herself, Amelia shrugged, forming an answer in her head, and, as usual, forgetting to proof read.
“Something like that. I’m not mad about getting married, more that she expects me to just ‘fall in love’, and that the marriage would be worthless if I didn’t. Basically, she knows I will never love someone romantically, and she makes sure that I know her grievances over the ‘situation’ every time she looks at me.” Amelia used little figer quotes to emphasise her statements, truly annoyed by her mother’s attitude, needless to say. Vic appeared to be spending a lot of their time thinking, which was fair enough. Amelia herself had an almost constant monologue running in her mind, dictating what happens in her life and providing a constant commentary on everyone and everything around her. Including herself.
“I have no mother. She was not around for me to know. You are lucky to know your own.”
Oh. Idiot.
“Ah…” Amelia paused for a moment, trying to gather her words into a semi-coherent scramble. “I mean, you probably did have a mother…” No stop that’s rude. “Wait no sorry uh what about your dad? Is he nice?” Amelia offered the other a sheepish grin, hoping that they’d forgive her momentary lapse in politeness. You’ve done much more than ‘momentary lapses’.
