Dawn smiled when she complemented her. She liked the nickname. Like a wolf. The girl seemed to be considering something, and Dawn watched her. “Hmm?” The girl asked what else she could do, and she shrugged, playing dead, then sitting up and holding her hand out. This was kinda fun. “I like this.” She said, laughing. “I am Dawn.”

Maybe it was just the strangeness of having someone already so familiar with his tale, but Atticus got a slight sense of arrogance from the boy or Grotto rather. Shaking their hand, he narrowed his eyes, trying to work out how on earth a mythical cave could conceive a child. Likely it was he was born of a thought, or rather was a smaller cave that grew a conscious based on local legends and myths, later growing to hold so many strong spiritual items that the other cave became a sort of parental figure of sorts. Of course, Atticus had read plenty of the Cave of wonders. He had met it in person while on an expedition to return several treasures that had been lost, which they had subsequently found. That specific item was just some ancient rulers enchanted crown, though it had been long forgotten now it had been another of his mother’s crafts.

Yes, arrogance, he was familiar. “Only 1,000?” Atticus said, feigning a polite smile as he folded his hands behind his back. “My, you must be quite the avid reader. And since you know so much about my mother, I take it you know all about myself as well. Tell me, what was the first thing I created using my mothers method of enchantment? You must know, since it was so similar to her own first treasure.”

Destrian asked about the food, and Emerson nodded. “Get your horse settled, then I’ll take you to the Castleteria. I think you might like what I was going to have. You have to pay, but I can handle that for you. My treat.” They said with a smile. He was very polite, though they assumed that’s how he’d been raised. If they weren’t gay, they were positive they’d have a crush on him. Speaking of, they weren’t sure how he’d react if he found out. Should they tell him?

“You don’t need to know sing language. Like I said, we communicated using her notebook. You know I have to say it was really nice communicating with her because when I first came here I had never talked to anybody but family before it, so talking with her with pen and paper was significantly easier and it helped me learn how to communicate easier. Oh and how nice she was. She helped me get over the fear of being outside. I mean tehnically I’m still afraid when in the green outdoors, but now I can close my eyes and rely on others to lead me withouth panicking as much. But she wasn’t unfortunate looking. For Slavic standards, she would actually be considered a beauty. I have to agree, she has beautiful blue eyes and an adorable blonde hairstyle, and freckles too, which is a bonus.” I smiled and looked at Hanako “You two should meet. Anyways, what will you be having?”

Lum was done with her class and went to the lunchroom, she waited for her sister; Rose before going to order her food.
Lum wrapped her food in silk and looked for a seat for her and Rose.
Where should we seat? Rose asked. Lum shrugged, sighting an empty table with just one girl seating there, Lum nodded for her sister to follow. Rose followed and they sat on the seat. Obviously startling the brown-skinned girl sitting there. Annoyed at how the girl was gawking at her, Lum glared at her “Take a picture babe, it would last longer” Rose laughed at this, internally Lum was also a little happy that her attention wasn’t on her sister. Everyone’s attention always seemed to be on her sister when both of them where together so it was a fresh new change. “Whoa…” she gasped and continued staring at her, Lum seriously debated whether to kill her (and get herself in trouble) for the girl staring at her weirdly or just to ignore it and enjoy that someone prefers you to your sister. “You have beautiful eyes,” The girl said and Lum forgot all about killing her, “You think so?” Lum blushed.

Hanako relaxed when Lav said she didn’t need to know sign language. Well, that was good. She’d probably end up signing something vulgar by accident. Ok, now he’s calling her pretty. He likes freckles. Great. Good to know. She took a deep breath, shoving the jealousy to the back of her mind. She was sure Theodore was nice. Lav asked her what she’d get, she shrugged. “Probably the hamburgers or chicken nuggets.”

The girl Elias had to deal with was rude. How dare she defend herself when Elias started threatening her like some landlord? He was lucky enough to make it out alive, but let’s let him believe he bravely retreated from a war.
After all that, he was starving. Luckily, the bell rang soon and he was able to get some lunch. No, Elias didn’t know his own schedule. He was just desperately hoping the bell meant it was lunch time. If not, he could just move to another country and hide away in shame. But, lucky for him, he didn’t have to go through with such extreme measures.
Ah, the cafeteria. Elias’s only braincell managed to take a map of the school with him earlier, so finding the cafeteria wasn’t too hard. He wasn’t completely inept.
Though, mocking aside, the encounter really did terrify Elias. He could still feel his hands shaking, though he couldn’t tell whether it was from hunger or fear. The stranger injured him bad, and a trip to the nurse was necessary. But what if she were to come back for revenge? And the nurses would most likely take her side, considering the event. He sighed, adjusting his jacket to hide the wounds and bruises the best he could, his mind still racing.
Taking a step towards the cafeteria, he was confident he’d make it inside and get food. However, A girl with short hair had to block his path now. Well, this day really was interesting. Not so much for Elias, though. He tried to take a step to the side to enter the cafeteria, however, the student did the same. At this point, he was way too exhausted to process anything, so he just walked forward.

“Just so you know the hamburgers are tiny and you do get three of them, but I just wanted to let you know in case you think you’re getting 3 big burgers for a cheap price. You are not. But this time I’m not really hungry so I’ll get the pizza slices and some fizzy soda water. I haven’t tried pizza yet, you see, and they were mentioned in every book I ever read.” Then I realised she might think that’s true “I was overexaturating, but the food that is mentioned somebody having is almost always pizza so I thought I’d try it today.”

Finally. The bell rang. I was starving and needed some nutrients. However I wasn’t hungry for food so much to forget how I left my family to come here so it was more important for me to not be seen by my brother who I noticed snooping around, at least until I’m ready to tell him why I’m here. I do have a gift, he doesn’t know about it which is even worse because if I went and talked to him I would have to tell him why I’m here and that’s this gift, and he’ll know I chose never to tell him that. That’s why when upon entering the cafeteria, I saw the back of my brother’s head and his voice recognizable to me I pivoted as fast as I could and before he could even turn his head or even notice I was there, I was heading for the door and was positive he wouldn’t recognize my back now that I cut my hair. However, this a**hole was in my way. I didn’t much care he was in my way, but when I moved to the side so I could move past him, he did the same and this angered him so much, he tried walking straight at me, which would make me have to go back inside and risk being seen by my brother. Being a little bit afraid of the outcome of having to explain things to my brother on a really empty stomach, and a little bit annoyed by this arrogant pr*ck I decided to be the bigger axxhole and I came a step closer to him, put my hands around his suprisingly ladylike neck and said “If you push me back one more step I’ll snap that bonny neck of yours clean of your shoulders!” The threat I gave him wasn’t really possible because you either rip the head or break the neck, but fearing he might realize that I tighened my grip a bit and waited for him to respond. Let’s she what his ego has to say to this.

Hanako sighed when Lav said the burgers were tiny. “Ok, how small are we talking about? I’ll probably just get the nuggets, then.” She nodded when he mentioned pizza. “Let me know how it tastes. I haven’t had it either. Well, someone I know tried putting sushi on pizza. That didn’t work, so I’ve been told.” She snickered, remembering the disgusted look on her friend’s face.

And with his carelessness, he bumped into the student. Although, unintentionally. Before he got a chance to process anything, the strange girl already had her hands around his neck. He jumped and pushed her hands away, eyes widening, as he backed a few steps away. “Why–” he took a moment to catch his breath. “Why is e-everyone trying to… To kill me today!?” Elias could barely breathe now, as he clenched his fists to prevent them from shaking, trying to keep a cold expression. That was a horrible introduction, but who strangles someone who runs into you?
Adjusting his collar, he regained his arrogant expression and barely managed to face the stranger in front of him. “D-do you know who I am? Who my parents are?” And here he went again, threatening random students. Worst of all, his voice was still shaky. Someday, he’ll learn how to avoid being murdered on the spot, but today was not the day.
At this point, it felt like he was going to die today, and even the narrator wasn’t on his side.

I put on a poker face and said “Maybe because you’re arrogant. You didn’t even talk and I knew I would hate you. But you could never hate me, because I have the power to stop it.” after mentioning my gift I unintentionally looked up hinting at my brain so he’d how where the power is located. I guess I looked up there because I mentioned it and couldn’t not look at it. However, right about when I was ready to feel sorry for him considering the fact he looks a bit beaten up and shaken already he ruins it by bringing his parents into this. “It doesn’t matter who they are, they aren’t here, are they? And if you bring them into this, I might aswell become a homewrecker and wreck your happy little overprotective, arrogant building home. So STEP ASIDE or get me some food because I’m starving but don’t want to deal with whatever is in there” I pointed at the door as I said ‘In there’.

As we were getting closer to the line I said “You better remeber what you wanted, I never ordered for myself so I will probably get flsutered and hold up the line. You see, Theodore, or Theo, ordered for me. That was so sweet of here. I’d ask you to do the same but at some point I’ll have to be able to do things myself and for myself.” I didn’t even noticed I started talking about Theodore again. I was subconciously praising her infront of Hanako because I really believed they would like each other and this praisal would hype up Hanako to want to meet her. “She really is quite smart and charming. I really liked her company.” I was robbed of the opportunity to learn this isn’t true, but I thought that if you liked two people that they would like each other. It happend with mum and dad, so naturally I thought Hanako would think she would like Theo as much as I did, but that was foolish of me to think the world could be so simple.

A power to stop his hate? It all sounded like a form of mind control to Elias. Whatever it was, it seemed dangerous. However, the guy with barely half a braincell refused to believe that. She could just be threatening him, but was he really about to risk another lion attack? He had to do what she demanded, otherwise he’d risk his image. Oh yeah, and his life.
Then, his thought process interrupted- “Wait! You hate me!?” he exclaimed, shocked, as if it were anything surprising. “What did I ever do to you?” he continued, completely ignoring her request to buy food. He was too focused on how he’s perceived, that he didn’t even process what was said afterwards.
It made no sense to Elias. He had just met this girl, yet she tried to murder him, and now she said she hates him? Though, he does give off an arrogant jerk™ vibe, it felt uncalled for, leaving him even more confused than ever. After this all was over, he planned on sleeping for 3 days… Maybe even a week.

I raised an eyebrow. “No, I hate the man stopping me when I’m trying to avoid somebody and on an empty stomach. That just happens to be you.” I rolled my eyes because I just told him what he did to me, but the guy has the memory of a goldfish. Considering the fact he won’t move I took it as a yes to the other thing. At this point I would have grabbed a knive and put it somewhere threatening, but I didn’t have one on me so, already irritated at this point, I said “You talk a lot for a man who nobody wants to listen to. Now do you want me to knee your groin or will you be getting me that food?” At this point I sounded like an irish mean girl “I’ll just get the humburgers and fries, thank you.” I sighed and before he even took a step I said “And don’t let the door hit you on the way in. Or my brother.” I stood there waiting for him to comply.

Hanako nodded when Lav said she should remember what she wanted to order. She could do that. Hanako was normally a very calm person, but this constant talk of Theo was kinda annoying her. Just. Don’t. Mention. It. She was positive that Theo was a nice girl, but all this talk about her was making her want to slap the girl. She screamed internally, trying to to snap at Lav. That wouldn’t be good. She just wished he’d change the subject.

I smiled at her waiting for her to respond but she never did. I looked at her for a while and realised this was one of those ‘shut up’ moments when you don’t really have anything to say so you just stay quiet but it’s not uncomfortable. As I turned back to the line I noticed we’re almost up so I started panicking. “Oh my god, Hanako we’re almost up. Quick what did I say I would have? My mind is blank.”

A comfortable silence fell over them as they moved up in the line. As they were almost at the front, Lav began to freak out. Hanako had to hold in a giggle when he said he couldn’t remember what he ordered. She couldn’t help it, it was kinda funny. “You said you wanted to order pizza and fizzy water.” She told him.

I would have said that myself but we were already up when she answered me so I turned to the clerk who already put some pizza on a plate.
“Is that the full pizza or just a few slices?”
“Just a few slices.”
Considering the fact she tehnically ordered it for me, I thought I’d order for her. Unlike my own, I perfectly remebered what she her order was going to be.
“And some nuggets for her.” I said. Then I realised if she changed her mind it would’ve looked like an a**hole move to order for a lady, plus it might embarras me if she said 'Actually I’ll have the …" or she might be too embarrased to say no to nuggets now that I’ve ordered them so I quickly turned to her and put my mouth on the ear not facing the line cook and I whispered “Sorry.” before I turned back and pulled out my coins. “It’s on me because I’m thinking of getting a job and then I’ll be able to pay for everybody’s food and drinks. Each one of the friends I make … that is … I consider you a friend too.”

Hanako smiled at Lav when he ordered for her, remembering what he wanted. “Thanks Lav.” She shook her head when he apologized. “You’re fine! I didn’t change my mind, or anything.” Ok, Lav was officially awesome. He offered to pay for him, and the grateful smile on her face made her cheeks ache. “I really appreciate it! Thank you!”

“Cam on Vixy, let’s find a seat.” I said as I carried both our lunches in my hand. “Tell you what, you find an empty table or at least 2 chairs and wave me over, because from here I can’t see if there’s anything empty.
