“Well the plan was to get him more comfortable. He knows, well he knew about me before you and only because of his predator senses, just like I could tell there was a rabbit nearby. Since he knew I was tehnically a predator, he felt he was in danger when he was close to me. Hopefully, me petting him numbed that feeling for a while, and as long as I keep petting him, and I know I will beceause he’s adorable, he will be calmer around me.” I’m glad she trusted me and maybe even Ja-ja a bit … How do I tell them I used to eat rabbit meat? Thank god rabbit meat isn’t my favorite so that I wouldn’t have to torture myself by abstaining from eating it. Thank god she doesn’t have a deer or a chicken because they are delicious. “And what about you?” I changed the subject “Did you lose some trust in me because I kept it a secret instead of just telling you right away?” I asked ashamed. Since the moment I saw her I should’ve known she was worthy of keeping my secret, maybe in the future even more … but you don’t need to be worthy of it thought.

Her smile was drop-dead gorgeous, white teeth complimented by pretty pink cheeks the color of Valentina’s hair. The way she seemed to perk up, looking a bit more assured, also made Valentina feel more fluttery and excited. Her encouragement was working!! Her wings seemed to lift, as well as the corners of her mouth even further. “Oh, Bay and Cam!!! My goodness, they’re so adorable, I could burst!! Have you seen them together? They’re soooo cute!”” Valentina squealed, fangirling over one of the dozens of relationships at OUAH. Valentina beamed, cheerily tilting her head to the side as the girl took her side, seemingly cheering up. Though immediately afterwards, she seemed to panic, eyes bugging as she quickly “corrected” what she’d said, telling Valentina she meant ‘guys’ and was ‘very straight’. This sent Valentina into a miniature laughing fit at the girl’s obvious sarcasm. She giggled, not at her, but with her. Well, actually now that she opened her eyes, the other girl wasn’t laughing at all. Instead she was looking down awkwardly at her shoes. Valentina paused. “Wait, that was a joke, right, love? You’re a total lesbian who’s not the greatest with sarcasm?” she added the last part kindly, though she sounded suspicious and interrogating. Her senses were never wrong.

@eunoia - ariadne : sorry for the long wait!! but ayyy let’s see if ari can dodge this one…or come clean >:))

Shelldon’s first impression of the pale, curly-haired boy in front of him was this : his smile was a bit too adorable and his attitude a bit too bright. Still, his heart seemed to lift a little as he analyzed what was going on, trying to decide how he felt about this boy. Meanwhile, Rylan mustered a smile while looking away from the boy, becoming shy and ducking into his shell. He had an innocent aura like Pin, but Rylan wondered if he was secretly pitying Rylan or already seeing him as a charity case. Though maybe he couldn’t see the wheelchair. He bit his lip. “My name is Shelldon and this is my brother, Rylan.” Shelldon introduced, speaking slowly and formally, trying to keep as polite an expression as he could. “Do you have a name?” The second part was spoken in a bit of a sassy, but not rude manner. Shelldon raised an eyebrow and tried (but lowkey failed) to look nice. Meanwhile, Rylan rolled his eyes and shoved his hands in his curly hair. “Of course he has a name.” He muttered under his breath.

"Troublesome yes, but un funny . I supposed I never made jokes I do with you.” Haldir ate his food, “Dull child.” he simple said. Haldir could tell his intentions weren’t pure,Wei ming was like an open book, if you watched him closely you would realize that. The way he moved showed one lacking in sincerity. “State your true intentions or go.” Haldir finally said, he was done playing this little games. “I’m asking you again.” Haldir said in a cold dark voice, though the were no emotions visible in his face. “What do you desire from me?” Haldir stabbed his fork on the table, close to the place Wei Ming’s hand was. He pulled back his fork and cleaned it with a napkin he carried in his pockets.

“Sometimes things work for no reason.” Wei ming winked, "Some call it fate. Haldir let out a bitter chuckle, his stoic face turned to that of an ‘evil smile’ “Faith you say?” Haldir stared at the table, “What if I tell you your faith was to die by my hands, what would you say?”

A floating phone stood mid air, indicating Anang had brought their phone out. The voice of Anang began to speak, reading their number out loud. “Did you get that?” Emeka showed them his device, well at least he hoped the part of the air he was showing was Anang. . “Sorry for the wait, I don’t really remember my number.” Emeka let out a friendlt smile, “it’s ok.”

Emeka let out a deepbreath as he began to call the number of Anang, “Uh you have to pick it up.”

“What the hell!” Elliot looked down to notice he was most definitely in someone’s way. “Watch where you are going! Its not like we are all standing in a big very visible line or something here!” Elliot looked about, confused. “OH wait we are so Im not sure why you decided to just body check your way Into it” Elliot apologized immediately, going on to add… “I didn’t notice I joined the line yet.” He said, rubbing the back of his neck. He was about to introduce himself, realizing halfway he probably should move out of ten way. "I have no idea who you are looking and you want to have lunch? Why would ni want to do that?" Elliot perked up, “as an apology! For standing in the way. Oh, also, I’m Elliot little, but my sister calls me Ell.” Elliot was slightly worried how the explosive person would react. So, thinking of early this morning, he formed a double apology. “I can pay! As a double apology, how bout it?” Elliot smiled warmly, his smile stretching from ear to ear.

“Dull child” Wei Ming raised a brow. “Wise old man.” Wei Ming watched his mysterious stranger a analysed him. “State your true intentions or go.” Wei Ming considered giving a flirty answer back, but decided to wait and hold his ground. He rested his chin against his right hand, leaving his left hand free. “I’m asking again.” Wei Ming shook his head lightly as he smiled. “What do you desire from me?” A fork quizzed past his eyes, right by his left hand. From the fork, he slowly raised his eyes to the lad Infront of him. He pulled the cuff of his left sleeve, of the crisp clean white uniform.
“It’s unwise to damage property that’s not yours.” he said, pulling emotion out of his voice. Just to show off his quick “costume” changes, Wei Ming then made his voice light and teasing, “at least I know not everyone in this school is an air head.” He cocked his head. “And why should I tell you, pray tell? Darling, do you finally want to learn more about me?” He asked, genuinely curious how he would respond.

A “smile” if Wei Ming was daring to call it that, crossed Mr Slim Shady hair face. No trust in it, whatsoever. “I’m getting a twisted version of Romeo and Juliet, how romantic, Darling.” he joked, “If it’s true love, or of intentions of a true heart…” He raised his brows. “It may be. How romantic of you, by the way.” He winked, mainly to annoy the lad.

“Of course he would!! Everyone loves Cam!” Bay bubbled in agreement, nodding firmly, as if to really seal the deal. “They’ll definitely have to meet soon so we can become best friends at the same rate.” Bay said, sounding very proud of herself, as if she thought what she was saying was extremely intelligent. Wait… was Cam supposed to be her best friend? Or was a boyfriend different? Did they count? She wanted to ask Ariadne especially since she may have had a boyfriend before, but she didn’t want her to think she was reconsidering the best-friendship. She’d have to ask someone else.

“Yes! Good! Forever!” Bay said, watching the girl clutch her shell-filled hands to her chest, smiling warmly. “It took me a long time to find the prettiest ones. And to learn how to sew them on. I guess I still haven’t learned that,” Bay laughed, smiling at the memory of collecting shells. She truly believed Ariadne and felt even more proud of herself.

@eunoia - ariadne : I’m imagining Cam being as bubbly and chaotic as Bay rn and that would be such a couple… idk now I want a super hyper couple that just screams in everyone’s faces XD

“Wise old man.” Better than being dull, Haldir thought. “It’s unwise to damage property that’s not yours.” Wei Ming pulled out the emotion out of his voice, Haldir just looked at him with an unbothered expression “Unlike you, I can pay for it.” Haldir dusted his shoulders. He used his fork the pick the tomato and ate it. “at least I know not everyone in this school is an air head.” Wei Ming said in a lighter voice, “Can’t say the same. Everyone I met was an ‘airhead’ as you call it, especially you.” Haldir gave him a look. “And why should I tell you, pray tell? Darling, do you finally want to learn more about me?” Haldir ignored the flirty banter or let’s be real he didn’t notice it because he can’t really tell ‘flirting’ “Yes I do. I want to know why you insist on troubling me, if you think you can force me into doing your binding. I assure you, you’re greatly mistaken.”

“I’m getting a twisted version of Romeo and Juliet, how romantic, Darling .” Haldir ‘smile’ was still there, “Have you forgotten that romeo and Juliet ended up.” Haldir paused, “Dead?” His ‘smile’ well if you could even call it that disappear, “But trust me the way something will happen to you won’t be the same way they died.”

He told Camilla to calm down. She blinked, looking embarrassed. Was he mad at her? No, he was laughing and it wasn’t the shivering, high-pitched giggle of the adults and older townspeople who thought of her as nothing more than a bother. The casual chuckle and smooth words put her at ease, letting her know he was still the same Alec that thought she was beautiful and interesting. Camilla really liked talking. But she also loved to listen to someone who was good at talking, someone who had loads of interesting things to say. She looked adoringly up at Alec as he talked about his royal life. As if nothing could possibly be more interesting. People who were mega-rich always fascinated Camilla. She was no gold digger, this wasn’t in a greedy, materialistic way. More so, she’d grown up dirt-poor. The glamorous lifestyle of people like Alec was sparkly, intriguing, and new. “What kind of food? Do you ever eat pigeon? Or duck? Or snails?” Camilla fired away, not really calming down. She asked about foods she assumed rich people liked to eat. “Wow…” she stared at his leather jacket. She’d never seen a prince in leather but she was into it.

Alec told her it meant beautiful, though she still didn’t know the language. She wanted to, but Alec seemed more interested in something else. She’d have to use it later. “Me either! … kinda. I don’t know how to feel about that. Like, I’m excited, but it’s something I’ve never ever done before so I’m kinda nervous.” Camilla admitted, sounding just how she said she felt, nervous and excited. His lips traced up her arms, a dangerous look in his eyes. “I’m happy you taught me that too,” Camilla told him, goose bumps rising where his lips met her flesh. “Anything else you’re planning to teach me?” She raised a surprisingly well manicured brow as she waited for his reaction and response.

The other girl seemed to know Bay and Cam, which made Ariadne smile at Bay having a -what seems like currently- nice friend… If this girl was a friend. But by her gestures, Ariadne had faith in this girl. Ariadne wouldn’t want to make a personal grudge if she learned Bay had somehow in some universe been wronged by this girl. With Ari’s panic, the girl went into a laughter fit. Ariadne wanted to shrink into the floor. Her body tightened up, leaving her stuck watching the floor furiously. Should I laugh too? Would that make it more believable? WAIT, it is believable because it’s true… Sorta… She turned a darker shade as those intrusive thoughts took over her brain. " " " "

Pulling her out of the wave pool, “Wait, that was a joke, right, love?” Ariadne merely winced. “You’re a total lesbian who’s not great with sarcasm?” Ari was taken aback at what she had been shoving down. “What? No, no,” she said, inflating her voice a little too much. “I don’t exactly… Swing that way.” Ariadne never grew up being able to talk to people about crushes, who or what she was into. She was raised mainly by men for heaven’s sake! They usually married off, to a woman, or disappeared and didn’t share there love life with an angry teen. Who would? “Did it come off to strong?” Ariadne said nervously, hoping to sound innocent.

”You look like…strawberries.” Bay brightened, she looved strawberries. Even though the seeds got stuck in her teeth. “Ahh, thank you! You should see my hair underwater! It’s way more red. You said I look like a strawberry because of my hair, right? I chose sparkling ocean for you since your skin’s so glowy and your face is so pretty.” Bay definitely wasn’t lost for words. The girl looked away briefly. Bay waved her hand in front of her face to recapture her attention. “Whatcha looking at? Or who you looking for?” Bay giggled excitedly, she was apparently great at making friends, huh? “Do you want to be friends? Since we’re already twins?” She asked excitedly, then chewed on another nugget. She didn’t say best friends, since that role had been promised to Ariadne. Or Cam. Speaking of which…

“What kind of food? Do you ever eat pigeon? Or duck? Or snails?” She asked, Alec made a face of disgust. He knew in some cultures they ate all that, but luckily not in his culture- or at least he thinks. “Well I eat Pizza, Smørrebrød , Frikadeller, Karbonader, ice cream, burgers, water melon etc… No I’ve never tasted a pigeon or a duck or a snail and i’m not sure if I want to taste them.” Alec gave her a smile, “Have you tasted them?” He questioned as he touched her chin a smirk was plastered on his face.

“Me either! … kinda. I don’t know how to feel about that. Like, I’m excited, but it’s something I’ve never ever done before so I’m kinda nervous.” Camila confessed. Alec grabbed her hand, “It’s your first time, feeling anxious is completely understandable. But I promise I will make it the best thing you’ve ever experience.” He placed her hands on his chest, “I promise Cam. And i’m happy to be your first, it would be a promising event, a day you will never forget.” He gave her a smile. sure he was going to probably break her heart later because he was just a flirt and player who had no plans of truly settling down yet but who cares now? “Can I kiss you?” He asked leaning dangerously close to her, he let out a little breath, he repeated adding another word at the end “Can I kiss you, M’ Lady?”

. “Anything else you’re planning to teach me?” Alec was taken aback. Though, he replaced his surprised look with a smirk. Licking his lips he said “I thought you were supposed to be innocent.” He joked staring at her dark, rich brown eyes. Her eyes were like that of onyx, holding the magnitude of a black hole. The weight her eyes carried was simple how could he put this in word? Oh right, the weight her eyes carried was truly as magical as a fairytale see what I did there? ha ha ok I will just leave Her eyes were so deep and so dark he could see himself getting lost in them. Like a labyrinth, only he didn’t want to escape the labyrinth and wanted to stay there forever. “I plan to teach you a lot.” His lips curved into a smile, “And I mean a lot.” He added in an alluring voice that was fit for a merman. “Tell me have you ever seen a merman?” There was playfulness in his voice- as if he was about to show her a magic trick or share a secret.

When Eun spotted Hilda casually walking through the herd of students, she smiled without teeth, letting her fingers wiggle in a small, excited wave. She was glad Hilda had indeed kept their word. Going with someone seemed a lot more fun. “Hi, Hilda. Don’t worry, I just got here.” Her dark eyes darted down to her friend’s…pants, where a cow-like tail swished behind them. She was discreet about noticing this, and she barely thought anything of it. It was nothing to mention, or for Hilda to feel embarrassed about. She just hadn’t noticed it earlier. Maybe because the two were sitting down. “Oh!” Her cheeks turned pink. “You didn’t have to- I’m just taking our mission a little too seriously,” She joked lightly, shrugging.

Hilda smiled when Eun waved, sighing in relief when they realized they hadn’t kept Eun waiting. “Ah, that’s good. Class took longer than usual.” They saw Eun’s eyes dart to look at their tail, snickering. “Yeah. I’m a Huldra. I kept it hidden when we met because I was embarrassed. That’s why I looked so uncomfortable.” They nodded when she said she didn’t have to wear dark clothes. “Ah, I get it. You’re trying to get in the mood.”

Her brother’s arms around her was a familiar feeling but it never seemed to get old. It brought her the same comfort it always did, just like how it did when she was a child. And when Rory confirmed he hadn’t checked his messages and discovered Faerie Tea, a new kind of relief was brought to her. ”That’s how you get viruses.” He was right. She was usually more careful about things. But Faerie Tea wasn’t a virus. It was much too personal for that. Lilliana straightened her shoulders as she pulled away from Rory so the two could converse better. Rory led her to a table he’d chosen, and the two took their seats. He invited her to spill out everything that had happened to her, but she found it hard to start. Her mouth felt dry and incapable of moving. Why was she like this? Rory wouldn’t judge her, he never had. But that didn’t matter. A sense of insecurity was buried inside of her, she needed to be seen as perfect by everyone, flawless and incapable of making mistakes. Especially out-of-character ones like clubbing, drinking, and hooking up with random men. “Yesterday… I made a huge mistake.” she felt her eyes get a bit watery. “A really, really stupid mistake.” Her throat felt tight, like she couldn’t talk anymore.

Anang held up a thumbs up to show Emeka that he had gotten their number right, before realizing that he won’t see it. They internally facepalmed, before affirming it with words. “Yep! You got it right.” they responded. I can’t believe I forgot I’m invisible again. Anang sighed. It was easy to forget, considering they hadn’t done this in a long time.

After receiving the call, they picked up. Turning the screen toward their face, Anang turned on video call and looked over to Emeka’s device, hoping they weren’t seen. If that kind of device could make them visible, then that would be a weakness. Anang had always wondered if there were any limitations to their powers, other than having to turn back after some time. “Did it work?” they asked, impatient to find out the answer.

Anang picked up his phone and Emeka pressed video call. Emeka couldn’t really see his face but he could see a little of their hair, Emeka smiled awkwardly at their hair “hey” he greeted. Anang was one of his first real friends who he had their numbers, all of his contacts were other god children (who mind you he doesn’t talk much too) and his father. “Did it work?” Emeka scratched his neck, “Well I can only see your hair.” Emeka said looking at the holograph.

Anang laughed, looking at the screen. “Heyy!” they responded. Although at first they were anxious and unsure about approaching someone, they were really glad that they met Emeka. Now, Anang had a friend in the new school. They felt it was really easy to be themself around him and now they even had his number, without having to even ask.

It seemed like they weren’t completely visible, with Emeka being able to see their hair. However, it wasn’t too bad.

Just then, an idea came to their mind. “Wait, would this work?” they asked, while the phone moved across the room. It stopped underneath a window, where the rays of the sun illuminated the table. “If I’m under more lighting, am I more visible?” They turned to look at Emeka’s device again. If other people could see Anang walking around the cafeteria, video calling someone right across them, they’d be very concerned. Nothing stopped them from being able to see Emeka, though, which made Anang feel a bit guilty.

Pin smiled as the boy offered to pay them back. They did wonder why he didn’t just use his own notebooks if he had them, but Pin wasn’t going to complain. “Yes, please. The notebooks would be fine. I’m not too sure how much they cost, anyway.” The money would have been more useful, but Pin felt really awkward asking someone to give them money - even if it were to repay them.

The way he talked about it so casually was odd. Pin had never seen anything like that. Their jaw practically dropped when they saw the transformation - if that’s what it was. Pin still wasn’t sure what to call it. But they decided to wait until after class to ask again. They didn’t want to fail and Pin was still trying to wrap their mind around it. Once the teacher dismissed them, Pin asked, “so you just… you changed into your uniform… is that… is that something people can just do?” If so, Pin had never been able to do something like that.
