Elliot entered the Castleteria, this time not running unlike this morning. He took a deep breath, hoping to breathe in the menu instead of looking at it. He had planned- mostly because of how great the Castleteria smelled- that whatever happened this year, he’d definitely learn to make everything on the menu here… Or at least most of it.

His eyes were drawn to the now loooong line for the ticket booth. He’d completely forget about it after meeting the coolest teacher he’d ever seen. Elliot started towards the food, then realized he wasn’t hungry… But then thought maybe he actually was hungry. He awkwardly kept changing directions. Without even noticing Elliott was flat square and someone’s way. He hadn’t even noticed!

“Oh my gosh! I am so sorry!” Elliot apologized, still in the way. “I’m Elliot! But my si- I’m still in the way.” He awkwardly concluded, shuffling to the left slightly. “Sorry about that. Hey, wanna have lunch together?” Elliot suggested, as if they were old friends.

“And what, pray tell, makes you believe you are even a quarter as famous as your mother?”
Atticus looked at the boy, like he couldn’t quite understand how someone so proud of their ‘infinite wisdom’ could also be so incredibly narrowminded. Since when had Atticus even hinted that he wanted to be like his far more famous mother? Since when had he even alluded to wanting anything like fame at all? “I do know all about your mother’s method of enchantment, however, until you can come up with an enchantment method of your own or even enchant something that’s not similar to your mother’s, then, and only then, might I actually learn something new for a change.”

Atticus rolled his eyes. “Indeed, perhaps I should experiment more, but unfortunately humility is not so easily enchanted. Besides, I tend to dwell around far deeper waters than the sort you offer me.” Apparently he got his innate witts from his mother, as well as his judgemental-ness . He was about to abandon the thought and return to his reading when the boy-cave-being asked an apposing question. He arched a brow, looking back. “Your father? As in the legendary cave of wonders, which is seen and heard of under multiple names in multiple legends? Many things. How about the many prisons of Jinn that King Solomon left behind in his death? Or perhaps you are referring to some magical item that was part of Ali Baba’s hidden treasures? Some rumours claim that the cave even once stored the legendary Golden Sheers the fates use to cut their threads. The truth is, I wouldn’t know, as your father has never deemed me worthy of seeing his cache and I have never had the yearning to ask to begin with. I believe in its simplest terms; I don’t care. Unlike you, my ultimate goal is to learn about everything that interests me. Quite frankly I grew up with hidden magical treasures so they are the last thing that intrigue me now. I won’t even deign to suggest that I know half of the infinite knowledge of the world, but it has been clear after meeting you that I know a fair amount more on life than whatever magical items your father has stashed… yourself included.” He tilted his head with a wry smile of false politeness. “Does that answer satisfy you?”

Dawn listend to the girl practically die of laughter, confused out of her mind. “Please breathe.” She said worriedly. She handed over the sausage, and despite that not being what Dawn wanted, she definitely wasn’t going to complain. “Thank you.” She awkwardly smiled when the girl said it was nice to meet her, asking her name. She shook her head when asked if she was from here. “No, England. Lei…Leicest…oh, I tried.”

Háo Tiān shrugged. Why would someone play a game like that if it scared them? “I’m not exactly sure, but they probably like the thrill. That’s how it is for me.” He shrugged when she said she should’ve prepared more. “I’m sure you’ll be fine. Why don’t you come show me what you made?” He grappled a sheet of paper, jotting down his room number. “Here, just in case you want to share.”

“Isn’t it fabulous?” Caoimhe preened, stepping out of the hug to give a spin and show off her dress and hat. “An up and coming designer in Italy, Lazzi Telerico, and a stay at home mother in japan made the hat! Ugh, but enough about me, we’ll be here all day and blergh I hate talking about the past. Come on! I’m starving, and something tells me the tomato pasta here has been made by a future chef.” Linking arms, Caoimhe pulled Petra towards the line and smiling brightly managed to snag them a place near the front. Unable to contain her growing excitement, Caoimhe grinned at the petite ginger painter with a gleam in her eye. “So,” She said, voice lowering to a purr, “Is it finished? Did you make it? Your inner masterpiece?”

“England? Lest… Leicestershire? Or Lancashire?” Cinder shook her head, waving the notion off as the different counties didn’t really matter. “No, I mean… here. Like… around people I guess? You’re not from anywhere very populated. Or if you were you had a very rough childhood.” Cinder didn’t have much experience with bullies or the like, and any she had met where busy getting tortured so she never really thought to stop for a chat. Tilting her head she acknowledged Dawn curiously. “You weren’t raised by dogs, were you? Let me guess… child of a wolf? Some fairy-tale big bad baddy? Slender man maybe?”

“Has anyone ever told you, you were troublesome and unfunny?” Wei Ming dramatically put his hand spread out across chest opening his mouth to establish how “shocked” he was. His face melted into a warm smile. “Troublesome yes, but unfunny. I supposed I never made jokes I do with you.” Wei Ming played. As he leaned in, a book cover his face. Playing this game? He thought, annoyed. He leaned over a little, just barely getting his eyes around the book and winked.
"Godforbid, why would someone like me like someone like you?" Wei Ming shifted his weight. * I don’t know either.* “Sometimes things work for no reason.” He winked. "Some call it fate. " Wei Ming said, getting tried of playing this game.

Dawn nodded when she said Leicestershire. “Yes, thank you.” She nodded when the girl asked if she wasn’t raised around humans, shaking her head when she asked if she was raised by wolves. “No, Black Annis. She is around here somewhere.” She said, glancing around. “Want to meet her?”

Alexia was slouched on one of the gleaming counters against a wall. Though, there was a spot to the right of her and two across from her. She tapped her foot, light, soft taps that were lifted as soon as they contacted the floor. The tip of her thumb would catch fire, then she put it out tapping it with her index finger to light it up again. The flame was about the size of what a lighter would make, though hers kept reaching higher temperatures every time she re-lit it.

There was a half eating chocolate pudding next to her. She had mostly given up on it, when she accidentally heated it up to an awkward warm temperature. She started people watching, as her finger kept getting hotter with a tingly feeling she loved. She started a game with herself, guess the people’s thoughts based on there facial expressions.

Alexia decided she needed new opinions, “hey, you” she called pointing to someone with shoulder length brown hair. “Could you come here for a sec?” She asked, still yelling over the cafeteria noise.

Brooks first name

Books had come to the Castleteria and was hoping that they would find either Colm or Alicia. Those two were the only people that they could stand. They had made their friends for today two was plenty maybe even beyond plenty friends for Brooks. They headed to the long line sighing as they looked for money to buy lunch. I should have eaten more for breakfast they thought to themself.

Today had started out rough but it had been ok all things considered. Brooks waited in the long line shuffling their feet some as they began to get impatient. Brooks looked for Alicia or Colm as they stood in line but couldn’t seem to find either of them. They pulled their headphones out of their bag the noises were getting to be overwhelming couple that with the long slow line and Brooks was getting irritable. They put one headphone in and started to play music hoping it would help. It was only seconds later that someone ran straight into them. Brooks not being in a good mood was certainly not going to fair well for the other person.

“What the hell! Watch where you are going! Its not like we are all standing in a big very visible line or something here! OH wait we are so Im not sure why you decided to just body check your way into it!” Brooks huffed as they rolled their eyes clearly annoyed. “I have no idea who you are and you want to have lunch? Why would I want to do that?” Brooks was overwhelmed and annoyed and now taking it out on this guy who’s name they had totally missed.

Thrill… Jara wondered if that was the reason she gets carried away when talking with interesting people. “I guess I can see that. I’ll have to ponder on that idea for a bit,” Jara nodded. She looked at the number, somewhat confused why they wrote it on paper. Perhaps you couldn’t say your room name aloud in this school. She’ll have to be careful about that later. “Yes, I’ll try to remember. As long as it’s not rye bread or seafood.”

The fourth period had just ended, and most students were heading to the castleteria for lunch, but not Abelino. He wanted to apologise to the guy he met in the third period for knocking over his supplies. He seemed pretty offended by that. “Why do we have to apologise? He’s the one who couldn’t keep his supplies in a safe place.” Fleur crossed her forelimbs. She got out of Abe’s stuffy backpack and sat on his head. “But he’s upset with me,” Abe said, frowning. “And how do you know that?” “Because- because, um…” he closed his eyes to think of a reason. “I- I just do okay!” he yelled at her, making the students in the classroom give him weird stares, but he wasn’t bothered this time. He rolled his eyes and let out a groan, stuffing his textbooks and notebooks in his backpack. “Eek!” Amie squeaked as she dodged the book that was coming straight for her. “Ah!” he looked down at Amie, who was shaking in fear. He had almost crushed her with his textbook! “I’m- I’m so sorry! Are you okay?!” he picked her up and kept her on his table. “I didn’t know you wanted to kill her so badly, Abe,” Fleur murmured. “Shut up!” he yelled at Fleur again. He gently stroked Amie and kept her in his pant pocket. “Actually, Abe, I think I’m gonna go.” Amie got out of his pocket and ran down his leg. “What! Why? I’ll not hurt you again; it was an accident!” “It’s not because of that… I’m just tired. I’ll be in your dorm room.” she says and sprints away. “Alright…” Abe frowns and waves her goodbye. hi marta

“Anyway, let’s go find him.” he quietly said to them and got up for his seat. “Find who?” asked Fleur. “That boy I angered in the third period.” “Wait, you were serious about apologising to him?” she made a weird face at Abelino. “Yeah… I mean, I have to.” “You don’t have to.” Abelino sighed and shook his head. “Please shut up.” He was getting irritated now. Can’t she just be quiet for once? — he thought. Fleur rolled her eyes and did as he said. Now that he wouldn’t talk to her, she laid down on his head and made herself comfortable so that she could sleep. Abelino didn’t want to admit it, but she did make a good point. He didn’t have to apologise for such a little thing. It’s not like he’s going to hold a grudge on Abe for knocking his pens and pencils off the table. Pfft, not at all, right? He must’ve forgotten about that already — Abelino hoped he had. While walking through the long hallway, he spotted Felix. “Floo, floo,” he called her. “Floo, wake up!” “Ugh, what?” she sat up and rubbed her eyes. He had interrupted her precious sleep. “I found him,” he whispered to her. “What?” she groggily asked. “I found the guy,” “Oh, the guy… don’t tell me you’re going to stalk him.” “What, no! Of course, not! I’m just- I’m just gonna, um, talk to him? Ah, I don’t know!” Fleur rolled her eyes and rested on his head, wanting to go to sleep again. It had been a long day… even if she had done nothing all day. Floo was a bit hungry too. She was craving cheese and fruits. Mm… thinking about it made her mouth water. “Can you buy me some cheese and fruits?” “Uh, after I talk to the guy. Oh, wait, he’s heading towards the castleteria,” he said and fastened his pace. “Wait, are you-” She lifted her head and saw that Abe was indeed following that guy. “Meh,” she shrugged. She didn’t care.

After a while, Abelino reached the castleteria. The boy was ordering food. “I never thought of you as a stalker, you know,” Fleur said. “I-I’m not…!” he squeaked. “Whatever, let’s just get this over with,” Abe shook his head. While speeding towards the stalkee boy, he dashed into a girl. Tan skin, long hair, and brown eyes. Absolutely beautiful. “Eek!” she let out a shriek. “Um, I- I’m very sorry…! But, um, I’m in a hurry-” he started stammering when Fleur spoke, “Whoa, she’s pretty! Ask if she wants to go on a date with me.” “Shut up, Fleur!” he yelled and got surprised looks from the girl, “Did you- did you just-” “I have to go now! Sorry!” he smiled awkwardly and ran away from her towards the boy. Abelino dashed into him too and knocked his food to the ground. Great. Just great! — he thought. “I- I swear I wasn’t staking- no, following y-you…!” he let out an awkward laugh. That didn’t sound any better, you idiot — he scolded himself. “Also, um, sorry about you, uh, food…” he scratched his neck and looked away in embarrassment. This was the second time he had done something like this.

I was a bit worried as Ja-ja kept saying no and was visibly upset, but I hoped my gentle touch against it’s fur would calm him down. I softly placed my hand on top of his head and I slowly moved it past his ears and down his back as he was turned away from me. I smiled as I notice him relax a tiniest bit “See Ja-ja, there’s nothing to worry about. I promise all I’ll ever do is pet you … as long as I’m in this form, and I doubt I’ll change because of stress or the moon if I have you and your fur to relax me. Your fur is very soft though, very soothing … and as long as I’m soothed you don’t need to worry about my smell because it’s easy to decieve. Are you better now?” I asked him and while waiting for an answer I looked at her with a smile to show her how happy I am Ja-ja isn’t freaking out, or at least not as of yet.

After realizing they’d been cutting Emeka off with their rambling, Anang flushed red. “O-oh… Sorry!” they exclaimed. Luckily, he couldn’t see them blushing of embarrassment, that made the conversation easier. “I tend to talk a lot when I’m nervous!” But, at least he agreed to try it out, even if it seemed like a ridiculous thing to do at first.

“So…” they cleared their throat. “How do we do this?” Anang was planning on pulling a prank on whoever they called, pretending as if something is floating in the background. However, they were unsure of what Emeka wanted to do. Also, they had no idea how to use that device. “Any ideas?”

“I tend to talk a lot when I’m nervous!” Emeka gave a friendly smile, “It’s ok I sometimes do that too.” He comforted. Well Emeka did sometimes do that, but it was more like rarely but he didn’t want to embarrass his new friend.

“How do we do this?” Emeka coughed, “Well first of all I need your number.” He told Anang opening his 'phone app."

Anang felt more at ease hearing Emeka’s comforting words. They smiled, taking a deep breath to calm down a bit.

“Right, my number! Just a sec.” they said, pulling out their phone from their pocket, which was invisible for Emeka. Then, slowly, the phone started becoming visible, until it was a black rectangle visibly hovering in the air. Anang opened their contacts, and read their phone number out loud to Emeka. They made sure to go slowly so that he can write it down properly. “Did you get that?” they asked. “Sorry for the wait, I don’t really remember my number.” they let out an awkward laugh.

”Inside, I’ve been dead for a long time. But my physical shell is not yet gone from this world.” Though it was most definitely dramatic sarcasm, for a moment all sense was gone, with Garçon hanging on every poetic word. He was able to snap out of the trance after a second. He’d just liked the way the stranger spoke there, especially as the dramatic, humor-loving fan of all things theatre. A chuckle escaped his parted lips, but before he could reply, a flick of the boy’s deep brown eyes directed his attention to the hand that seemed glued to his white-clad shoulder. He didn’t seem so happy as he inquired whether Garçon’s hand had gotten stuck there ‘or what’. Still somewhat hazy, Garçon removed his hand. He did not appear reluctant while doing this, though he was. The boy was a quick eater, almost all of the spirals were gone from the plate, leaving only chunky strokes of red tomato sauce. Meanwhile, Garçon hadn’t touched his food, much less given it a glance. He was focused on carnival boy. “You’re quite the fast eater, aren’t you?” The words were spoken innocently enough to be a casual remark, but with a smug enough tone to seem like an innuendo as well, spoken with his tongue poking out from between his lips, playful eyes switching between the boy and his tray.

He laughed harder at the boy’s sarcasm. It was not only incredibly humorous to Garçon, it was an incredibly adorable part of the stranger’s long awaited personality. His smile was genuine, eyes creased and sparkling. “You don’t say. Even at a school full of magic, pizza still gets cold and dried up just like the outside world?” He picked up the slice by its crust, pouting at it in mock-disappointment. "Tsk. Thank you for enlightening me, mon ami. " His teeth pierced the crust as he took a large, satisfying bite, still staring at the person in front of him. He was a fan of eye contact, but he didn’t usually go this far. But he couldn’t take his eyes off of him, in case some crowd of people cross his view and let him vanish again. He grinned softly, holding out the slice to him, bitten end dangling inches from his lips. “Want a bite?”

He shifted in his seat somewhat uncomfortably, despite Garçon’s puppy-like friendliness and open energy, but Garçon didn’t feel the need to back down because of this. He could make anyone his friend (hopefully this person a more-than-friend), he could be likable to anyone. Who wouldn’t like him? He smiled strangely, perhaps he didn’t believe Garçon despite his genuine, meaningful tone. It wasn’t that he didn’t get teased or anything, he just learned how to toss his head back and laugh, eyes closed, chest heaving, at nearly everything. How to turn a joke to his favor, how to never take things personally. Maybe Grégorie Leclair wasn’t that way. But what could be said of a name like that? Maybe Grégorie Eclair, the long, filling stuffed donuts. At least those were delicious.

His smile showed a bit of reluctance, he wasn’t easily trusting. Garçon wondered what it was about himself that put Grégorie off so quickly. Perhaps a mixture of the boy’s skeptical untrusting nature, and Garçon’s overwhelming confidence. It couldn’t be his handsomeness, could it? In his eyes, Grégorie was intensely more so. Well, Garçon would warm him up in no time. His cheeks (flesh toned) felt hot, as well as his hand, touching Grégorie‘s. It was different than touching his shoulder through cloth, his direct, warm skin on Garçon’s. It felt like a large electric wave coursing up his arm. He smiled broadly, one side of the smile tilting up in an adorably crooked way.

Their hands stayed linked for a bit of a long time, like a contest to see who would let go first. Meanwhile their brown eyes did the same, like an unspoken staring contest. Grégorie would be the one to look away in the end. Because unlike him, Garçon didn’t want to. As the warm hand left and Garçon’s germs were wiped away, their eyes stayed connected in a final battle. ”Do we know each other? I mean, have we met before?” A small gap showed between his lips, did he know? Did he remember the smiling, slightly sweaty, purple and blue lit, curly haired boy from that night? Were the memories coming back to him now, flowing through his mind, sending his heart pounding like a snare drum? Had he seen Garçon? Did he want him the same way? Or was he suspicious? A mind-reader? Garçon’s eyes lingered on Grégorie‘s cheek. Then slowly, he leaned across the table, eyes still on the boy’s cheekbone. His fingers brushed against it, wiping away a few stray hairs as well as a dab of tomato sauce. While they were so close, his eyes met Grégorie’s before he leaned back to answer the question as if nothing had happened. “Why do you ask? Do I look familiar to you? Perhaps you’ve seen me in your dreams…or your fantasies…” He trailed off mischievously, desperately awaiting a response. I know you’ve been in mine…

He listened to Kale’s explanation with his already-thin lips in an even thinner line. “That’s a difficult and personal question to answer, Kale-friend.” He murmured lightly, trying to think of an answer that would bring understanding to his companion’s mind while also not using too many words. Phong was never wordy, but tried not to be too curt for sake of politeness. “Where I come from, I am not scared of the darkness. It’s always dark. The dark is comforting… But here, it feels a lot lonelier in the dark. So I suppose I am scared of it in certain situations… But it is much better than being stabbed at by the sun.” He seemed satisfied with that answer, folding his hands in his lap and staring at his dish with a strange expression on his face. “Thank you for the offer. Perhaps next time,” He said politely, glancing at Kale’s food. It smelled good, but looked unusual. He took a small bite of the pasta on his plate. It was okay.
