Asa could tell that the really cute boy Rylan seemed disinterested and Asa moved a little closer hoping that Rylan was just being like that because he didn’t quite feel included. Shelldon was quiet but honestly seemed very sweet and less shy than his brother. Asa was fairly certain that at least the two of them would get along well. He wanted to try and let Rylan open up though because Asa was sure the second that Rylan opened up he would be a great friend or more too. Asa smiled big when he finally got a few words out of Rylan. “Its really nice to meet you too.” Asa said with a bright smile as he munched on his lunch while the chatted. “My first year here too. I came with my brother here too but I honestly don’t know where he went. I got a little frustrated about my math class and I kind of walked out of class so I haven’t seen my brother since math.” Asa didnt realize that he was rambling on about something that Shelldon and Rylan probably didn’t care about. “Oh um first impressions of school are ok not really what I had expected. But honestly glad you guys came over here because first impressions of you guys is great you seem really nice!” Asa bit his lip as he realized that this whole time he had been absentmindedly doodling on the table. “Oops.” He mumbled.

And of course, she had to ask about his parents. It’s as if she could read this mind, asking him all the things Elias would’ve preferred to avoid. Without knowing what to do next, he grabbed the pizza and placed it in his lap.

“You know, I can’t really talk while eating. Not that it’s rude, I don’t care. I just don’t wanna die a third time today.” he said, as he took a whole two slices of pizza, putting one on top of the other like a sandwich. “I’m sorry–” he paused, realizing he was about to apologize. “–Sorry for you, that is. It’s sad that I’m leaving you waiting, but I’m gonna have to tell you about my parents later.” he said, before putting the whole pizza in his mouth so he can’t talk anymore.

Despite being friends for as long as he could remember, Elias couldn’t open up to her. He had a weird feeling about the girl, especially since the only thing he could remember is their friendship. He had to avoid answering her questions, stalling for as long as possible. And when the time came for him to answer, he’d have to hope she had forgotten the topic of the conversation. For now, the cool guy bluff seemed to work well, in his head at least.

“No, no, I’m not hurt or anything!” She smiled nervously. “This is actually a really great thing… I met this girl… and turns out…” She paused for dramatic effect and Peckerhead sniffed quietly, rubbing her nose. …“She’s actually my sister.”
Peckerhead’s eyes were still large but the surprise and shock of Cara’s news was slowly replacing the worry. “Your sister?”, Peckerhead repeated in a slightly more upbeat snivelling tone.
“My mom never told me about her, so we grew up in totally different worlds. I’ll have to introduce you two. She’s really cool, I think you’d love her!!”
“Your mother never told you?” Then Peckerhead quickly looked around at Orwell, who was still making their way slowly to the front of the class, and she lowered her voice to more of a whimper. “But how did you find out? Where did you both live? Why didn’t she tell you? What happened to you mom? And your dad? Do you both still see them? Is that why you two came to this school, to find your sister? Do you have any more sisters? Or brothers? I don’t have any brothers or sisters. I wish you could be my sister.”

Class ended and the students around her began loudly chattering again as they left the class rather hurriedly. As Peckerhead stacked her notebooks and pencils, and the new headbands into her bag, she thought about the new homework. Already, she received so much homework. She had never had it before and did know how long it would take her. She knew that she should probalby make a start on it in the break, but a couple of those coins her father had given her that she had shoved into her pocket this morning, were begging her to spend them. She turned to Cara, mostly of tears had been wiped and her voice wass almost back to it exuberant cheeriness. “I want to try some food. I got told the cafeteria is really good and was wanting you to join me in trying it… if you want to?”

Daniel dropped his gesture and relaxed his bulky arms by his sides. When he realised the boy, Asa, hadn’t been making eye contact either. Maybe he wasn’t much of a talker either. Perhaps this conversation wouldn’t be so bad then and Daniel may even make a proper friend. Not that Daniel didn’t make friends last year, he knew a large number of the class from last year, but wouldn’t necessarily say they were friends. *Friendly, sure, but friends, not really.
“Yeah, nice to meet you too, Asa,” Daniel repeated back. Then Daniel let out a snort at Asa’s comment about the maths teacher. “Right. I bet Ms Rossum doesn’t think I’m her cup of tea either. I didn’t really attend many maths or lit classes year.” He hestitated. Rubbing the back of his neck with his hand, unsure if he should continue. “I haven’t really been tha good this year either, haven’t gone to no classes yet.”

Asa leaned on one of the big class windows and he though he shifted his weight a little more on the window. Asa was lost in his own thoughts before he realized that Daniel seemed to suddenly be at least a little more comfortable than he had been before. Asa looked up at him and smiled maybe this would be an interesting guy to befriend. Asa hadn’t really managed to make friends or even talk to many people besides his brother today so even just a pal or acquaintance would be nice to have around here. “Nice to meet you to Daniel.” He said smiling really big as he looked up at Daniel. He seemed nice though Asa had not much beyond a gut feeling to tell him that. Asa giggled as he heard what Daniel had to say about the maths teacher. “Im sure she doesn’t think im her cup of tea either I walked out half way through class when she got mad at me for not understanding. I kind of dont want to skip maths but have a feeling I might need to for my own well being.” Asa said with a shrug as he leaned heavy on the window that happened to be partially open. Asa fell out the first floor window that was nearly touching the ground as it was. He popped back up as fast as he could. “Im ok im alright. I dont recommend leaning on the window though.”

Dakota dropped their belongings in their room, there was no sight of their roomate ‘hopefully they wont have one’ They were an artist and needed all the space they could get, they were also not to big on sharing either way. They hated sharing and was quite possessive of their things- and of course Adam and his siblings would tease him about that.
All this was still weird to Dakota, to think they had no idea for so long that they were adopted and a child of a fantasy/mythological being- And Dakota had been Christian, well not really a christian or a follower of any Abrahamic religion but more of an agnostic… still they didn’t believe in mythology, fantasy or magic (at least the magic they tell you about in books) They believed that through magic was in drawing and painting. The beauty of it could only be described as magical. All this was so unreal . He desperately wished they could share with Adam but would Adam even believe them? Honestly if Adam had told them all those mythical and fantasy creatures truly existed, Dakota would have laughed and called him a joker.

Class was over, it felt like a breeze for Dakota as they sighed… oof class was way to long for their liking. They made their way to the cafeteria and waited their turn, when it was finally Dakota’s turn they ordered a full pepperoni pizza and a fruit smoothie. Dakota searched for a place to seat, finally finding an open seat he walked up there to see someone seeing down “Dakota” They introduced, sitting down.

I didn’t want to press him for now, I’ll bring it up later. Now a different question I wanted to ask. “So … how come you had money just now? For the pizza I mean? Just before I … well just before that you said you didn’t have money and I said I’d buy a pizza and share it with you here, but then suddenly you offered to pay for it … and you did pay for it. Were you lying before?” I have to ask something else “Also do you wanna play a game? Truth and dare? Come on what do you say?” I asked.

Sonny’s dorm / Sonny

Autumn shyly tucked her hair behind her ear blushing hard, “Wha-oh, um yea, I guess so.” Autumn turned to the sink and began cleaning the bowls, cutting board, and other culinary tools she used. She then heard Sonny groaning and turned around, “Oh no! Oh no! Are you ok? I knew it, I knew that it would happen, my cooking would hurt someone!” Autumn said remorsefully. “Stupid, stupid, stupid!” She scolded then facepalmed herself. Sonny then said it was the best pie she ever had, “It’s ok, you don’t have to pretend for me. I’m so sorry, I really shouldn’t have suggested the pie. I’ll get better! At least I think I will, I mean I hope I will. I-I-I think I should just leave and go get the nurse.” Autumn hurried towards the door, “Oh, thank you so much for the game, I hope we could play again sometime, that is if you don’t totally hate me after today.” Autumn opened the door and hurried out.

Samantha scoffed, “Yes it is, except for only half a day. except for my immortality, fangs, and senses, I’m about as strong as a pathetic human.” Samantha shuddered at even saying that. “Iron huh, don’t worry it won’t hurt me, I promise.” Dawn then added that they were good for catching food, Samantha smirked, “Same with my fangs. Oh, I wouldn’t know, it’s my first year too.”

“Hmmm…” Dawn said, interested. “I see best in darkness too.” She explained. She smiled when Samantha said that her claws wouldn’t hurt her. “Good. I glad.” She said, relaxing. She nodded, sighing when Samantha said it was her first year there. “Oh…can…can you…read?” She asked, wide eyes gazing at the girl anxiously. She then glanced over at the boy on the ground, picking up a stick and poking him. “You alive?”

Tate looked back at his sister to ask what she wanted to eat… But there was no sister. Tatum had sneaked off, leaving him alone, talking to himself idiotically he thought. He scanned the crowd. But nothing. Of course. He thought with a sigh. Tate submerged himself in thought. The thought of his kingdom- his soon to be kingdom. The way his sister and him had no relationship, how she’d leave him at any chance during this day, bubbling him up. He felt he couldn’t feel sadness, but anger. Not towards his sister necessarily, but towards his circumstances.

Without even knowing it, Tate had unconsciously started looking for his sister. He wove through the crowds and couples. Asking around, the mostly being ignored. Tate reached an arm out tapping a shoulder, no one in particular.

"Hey, have you seen a girl, about my hight, blonde with an unnecessary large grin on her face? Mostly looks like me? he asked, not exactly expecting her to answer. He locked eyes briefly, then darting them to the full table she seemed to be heading towards. He waved his hands back and forth as he talked, "I’m so sorry, am I interrupting you and your friends? My greatest apologies, never mind I- " he place his fingers over his cheek, rubbing them up and down with three fingers. “I’m Tate.” he seemed to think about his choice of words before correcting himself, “I apologise for interrupting.” Tate said bowing his head slightly, in an apologetic manner. Tate snatched his arms to his sides, remembering the bright red paint on them that Tatum had placed. “Heh, umm, yeah.” He added, awkwardly.

Maybe you should be more observant since it ie rather obvious!” Elliot gave an awkward grimace. ”Yeah, sorry about that. Sometimes I can be a little bit of a bubblehead, at least that’s what my sister says." Elliot said, smiling bright at the thought of the fond memory.

Elliot introduced himself, offering his apologies. Elliot lit up more, as they seem to accept by offering their name- “Brooks.” He offered to pay, as his friend Onyx had also seemed open to. Maybe it was a magic trick. “Now that is more of an apology than eating with me.” Elliot smiled. Maybe eating lunch with Brooks will lighten their mood, they seem a little crabby this morning. Elliot thought, feeling a little guilty for calling them crabby. Elliot took several steps into line, motioning for Brooks to follow. ”Wait, so, is or name Brooke, or Brooke with an S?" Elliot asked, genuinely curious, not at all thinking it was rude. ”And say, what would you like? You can order anything." Elliot opened his arms like a budding flower, motioning to the sky, as if saying “anything”.

Ariadne was jolted alive with a poke in her cheek, that wasn’t necessarily hard but gave her a little boost. She relaxed again with Bays silliness. “Right!! I’ll work on that. I kinda wanna sew shells and treasures on everything I own,” Bay declared. Ari lifted her arm up, as if she had an invisible sword or drink. “Exactly!” she encourage then giggled lightly, hand over mouth.
Ariadne was watching her brother again, and offered Bay to tag along. Bay started up and down, reminding Ariadne of the ball of energy in front of her. Nonetheless a grin cross her face, “Of course I do!!! Let’s go, let’s go!” Ariadne also jumped up, just trying to catch up with Bay.

The conversation had slowly started drifting to an in between silence. Though Elliot didn’t mind it, as it gave him time to process what was moving in his mind. Elliot was about to go on about another question with Orwell, but the teacher was slowly making there way to the front of the room, Icyne seemed to have started to pack up her own things also. Elliot turned crouching down, as a blur pasted him and a familiar figure also. He looked up, taking in the girl in front of him. "Hiiii…? Elliot said curiously, but quickly hopping back into himself. “Hey! I’m Elliot! But my sister calls me Ell if you wanted! What’s your name?!” he asked excitedly. Not even noticing someone approaching from behind Bay.

It seemed to Camilla that Alec was living in a dream. The worlds best chefs preparing whatever you wanted whenever you wanted?? Surprising you with new flavors and combinations, perhaps some that had never been tasted before? That sounded like Camilla’s heaven. And when Alec offered for her to come to his castle one day, and dream with him, Camilla felt as if fireworks were exploding inside of her. “Are you kidding me?!” She screamed, eyes wider than ever, shining brighter than ever, as bright as the firecrackers inside her head. “I WOULD LOVE TO!!!” She threw her arms around his neck, with enough strength to catch him off guard and knock him over but I will let sarcastic decide what happened or if he caught himself. She couldn’t believe he wanted to share such a scrumptious part of his life with her.

He looked surprised at first, but then his charming smile returned as he locked pinkies with her. ”Pinky swear.” He promised with a wink. Camilla nodded brightly, looking completely reassured at this statement. After a tiny bit of a pause, Alec replied with, ”Thanks, you’re great too.” Which made her blush- she’d had her kisses, but Alec’s was her favorite yet. She wondered when she’d get another one.

She only had to wonder for a small moment, as Alec gave her her reward for eating the pizza, a small peck on the lips. His hand stoked her black hair as he praised her, making her blush. Every compliment he gave her, every admiring smile, made her feel so, so happy. She supposed that’s how most people felt when someone they liked gave them the same energy in return. Camilla felt overwhelmed with happiness in that moment. ”Cute.” He observed, taking a pepperoni for himself. She grinned at him after swallowing. “Handsome.”

”You don’t have to worry, I’ll buy it for you.” Alec offered smoothly. Camilla’s face flooded with sunny enthusiasm-she loved shopping for new clothes, despite her unfamiliarity with the feeling. She’d never really gotten to buy brand-new clothes as a child, instead opting for things at thrift stores. Which was great, she still visited those. But nothing gave her the same excitement she got when Jason took her to the village shops for something brand-new, a clearance dress or hair bow, perhaps. But the smile faltered when she realized that asking Alec to buy her a cat girl costume would be burdening him, just like she did to Jason. The whole plan was to become independent and buy things herself. Not to be treated like a baby who couldn’t buy her own clothes. But before she could try to explain any of this, he spoke again. Explaining that it wouldn’t be a bother, and money wasn’t a problem for him. Camilla’s excitement returned, though she was still afraid it would seem she was using him or something. “Really?! You’d do that?” She asked enthusiastically, only a bit of wariness showing. She was blushing, feeling slightly more sure now. The idea of him picking out something he thought would make her look cute was really exciting. “I’ll make it up to you.” She promised flirtatiously, resisting the urge to giggle as he left ticklish circles on her bare leg. She did giggle when he asked, ”Really?” though, “Yup! I have a secret weapon.”

He winced at how loud she was, and Camilla nearly smacked herself out of embarrassment. Trying to lower her volume and make up for that, she nodded instead, along with Alec, agreeing on the front gate. “Front gate. Got it.” She confirmed in a voice of normal volume. Alec was surprisingly perspective, picking up on even the smallest ounce of sadness in her voice. He promised her all the candy and cake she wanted, running his hands through his hair. Her eyes widened, Alec was so generous. It made her feel a bit guilty, but excitement outweighed that emotion, and she did a little dance in her seat, squealing quietly. “All the candies and cake I want?!” He coughed, and Camilla worried her sadness had poisoned the moment, making it awkward. She wasn’t like this, she was usually bubbly, never a sad moment in a conversation, what was up with her today? Before she could put on a brave face, smile, and shove that moment away like she pushed clothes and old homework under the bed, he told her he could make things better. She perked up, looking at him with renewed excitement, lips parted slightly, expecting more pizza. Instead, she was gifted one more kiss, his hand brushing against her chest, making her jerk a tiny bit in her seat at first, but then settle into the kiss. Afterwards, she was given the expected pizza, which she seemed delighted about, forgetting any sadness before that moment. He complimented her, tongue brushing against his bottom lip. Did he really think so? “Are you describing me or yourself?” She teased. He told her again he couldn’t wait for when they… yeah. She bit her lip and looked away coyly, “Me either, Alec.”

Elias raised a brow at the strange girl’s accusation. When had he ever said he was out of money? Of course, it did sound like something the he would do, but he wasn’t stupid enough to buy a pizza right after he claimed to be broke. Now, he was even more confused. Either she was messing with him, or he had some form of amnesia. Whatever it was, he had to get to the bottom of this. Of course, after he somehow managed to eat the two slices he forced himself to eat.

He nodded to her request to play truth or dare, as it gave him an opportunity to finally learn more about her. Though, he had to be careful not to ask something that was obvious a best friend would know. Then again, he couldn’t have known what that was, as he had never had a close friend before, much less a best friend.

“Before we start, I didn’t lie. If I told you I didn’t have money, why would I buy pizza and give it to you?” he asked, after he’d finished eating. “I don’t even remember saying anything like that.” he crossed his arms, rolling his eyes. “Are you messing with me?”

After that, it was time he found some way to learn more about her. “And second, I dare you to narrate your whole life, right now.” he demanded, as if it would actually work. She was his best friend though – or at least some kind of friend – he was sure she wouldn’t reject it. Even he couldn’t fully understand what went through his mind to think of something like that. But considering the two attacks this day, who would be surprised?

. “Are you kidding me?!” Alec shook his head and smiled “You can visit me at anytime.” Though He would prefer if she told him about her visits first- because his paternal cousin: Eundr wasn’t quite the charming lady, had a dislike for poor commoners and didn’t want to associate with them and Alec fears she might do something to Camilla- no one knows what a girl with the heart of ice would be willing to stoop too. “I WOULD LOVE TO!!!” Alec smiled, “Then so be it.” He said. She threw her arms around his neck and made him, his head hitting another chair.

“Handsome.” She responded back, “Lovely.” He said back as he ate his pizza, he began thinking about his cousin Eundr again and the permission he had granted her. Eudr or the ice princess as most people called her was a good princess, there was no denying that. Fit to rule a kingdom one day but she was just too cold. She was also the one who tends to criticize him more than even his parents for his player ways, it wasn’t his fault he was just so handsome and had many marriage request. Alec sighed “Eundr” he accidentally called his cousin’s name out loud.

“Really?! You’d do that?” Alec nodded, “Of course. If you want me to buy you anything else just ca- wait you don’t have my number do you.” Alec remembered that he haven’t given her his number, he reached to his pocket and grabbed a pen and paper and wrote his number “Call me.” He winked. . “I’ll make it up to you.” Alec smiled not wanting to make her feel bad, he was sure she wouldn’t be able to pay him back if that is what she meant by it- the clothes he would give her would be made by Mr. Raventascho, a fine designer and it would be quite expensive “No no it’s ok” he replied with a smile. “Yup! I have a secret weapon.” Alec gave her an amused look, “Really? And that is?” He asked, three fingers under her chin as he looked at her.

“Front gate. Got it.” She confirmed in a normal quieter voice than the former. Camilla did a little dance in her seat and Alec chuckled. She was so cute-though Eudr would have called her childish, he didn’t see what was wrong with being childish. "All the candies and cake I want?!” He nodded, “All the candies you want.” He repeated. “Are you describing me or yourself?” She teased. Alec grabbed her right hand and kissed the back of it, “How about both?” He smirked arranging his leather jacket as he released her hand. “Me either, Alec.” Alec smirked, “So do you have a favorite song?” He asked.

Joelene did not like the Castleteria one bit. It did not help that most of the food was junk in her eyes. She sighed, looking at her caesar’s salad. Joelene looked up from her food to look around at all the deplorable people eating junk. However, the most deplorable was some smug boy who was walking right towards her. Joelene regretted not bringing thumbtacks to deter people from sitting next to her.

“Why’s a beautiful girl like you sitting by yourself?”
Her eyes narrowed, looking at the smug degenerate. Joelene got up and walked to the seat furthest from him. Her eye twitched, annoyed at her skirt length once more as she sat down. “It is infinitely more favourable than sitting with an absolute sleazebag,” Joelene responded, stabbing her salad to create a loud crunch.

Autumn pushed away a stray lock of wavy blonde hair, allowing Sonny to see more of her smooth, pretty face. Luckily, Autumn turned towards the sink and busied herself with cleaning before she could notice them staring. “Wait, are you washing the bowls already? Let me just finish my slice, then I can help you, aren’t you going to try some?” Sonny asked a lot of questions, feeling a bit guilty Autumn was washing everything without even trying this delicious pie. She was a fast cleaner too, though she stopped when Sonny groaned in delight. Her face filled with devastation at the sound, as she worriedly asked Sonny if they were okay. ”I knew it, I knew that it would happen, my cooking would hurt someone! Stupid, stupid, stupid!” She scolded herself, sounding as if she might burst into tears. There was a light slapping noise as their friend facepalmed themself. Sonny looked worried, crease forming between their dark brows. They tried to form the right, most comforting words so that they wouldn’t escalate the situation, but before they could, Autumn continued to talk, not letting Sonny get a word in. Excusing herself, again, before a word from the other party could be said, Autumn bolted for the door, passing Sonny so quickly, it felt like a light breeze. ”Oh, thank you so much for the game, I hope we could play again sometime, that is if you don’t totally hate me after today.” Were the final, sad words Sonny heard before footsteps echoed throughout the dorm hallway. Sonny took exactly one second to process, before setting down their plate as quickly and as gently as they could and running after Autumn. They weren’t particularly athletic, but they jogged fast enough to catch up in only a few seconds. Autumn didn’t even turn around, so they did the only thing that seemed right in the situation, turned her around lightly by the shoulders, worry in their eyes. But before their lips could even move to speak her name, Autumn wrenched herself (gently) from Sonny’s grasp, insisting she get the nurse, then walked away much faster than before. By the time Sonny was able to catch up to her again, they were behind the school. Not in the apple orchard, instead, surrounded by lemon trees and the bittersweet smell of golden citrus. Sonny called out her name again, and Autumn turned around, eyes downcast, biting her lip. “If you’d like to go, I understand, but please hear me out first,” they began, hands resting lightly on her shoulders again. That just felt right. "That sound you heard… I wasn’t hurt or sick, and it wasn’t disgust either. I was just groaning because that pie was really, really freakin’ good.” Their cheeks were pink at their proximity to Autumn as well as embarrassment at the noises they had made-if they’d just been silent about it, perhaps this wouldn’t have happened. Or perhaps it would’ve been a different situation. Maybe no matter what, Autumn would refuse to believe her cooking was any good, and would take even a smile as fake pleasure. Sonny had to explain the truth in a way Autumn might believe them-and they had just the thing. “Your apple pie was the best I’ve ever had. The crust was just the right texture, smooth and flaky, with just a bit of crunch when bitten into. The apple mix was bursting with spices and flavors, I think that’s the happiest it’s ever been. And the hearts on top were the perfect touch to a perfect apple pie.” Sonny reviewed the apple pie with a genuine and subtly kind expression on their face, describing it as if the description were one in a book Autumn might read. “And don’t get me started on those amazing colors.” The smile became a bit bigger. They stared into Autumn’s bright blue eyes. "And I definitely don’t hate you.” The sun peeked through the trees, adding strands of gold to Autumn’s long, wavy hair, highlighting her soft features. The leaves cast heart-shaped shadows on her face, her lips looked glossy under the lantern-like light. Sonny blushed-Autumn was really beautiful. They’d seen a lot of gorgeous people, they’d lived amongst gods. But Autumn felt so different and refreshing from those people. She was sweet, and kind, and Sonny truly believed she’d never hurt them, she’d never hurt anyone. A moment had passed by. The sun’s rays were slipping through the leaves, dimming the atmosphere. All Sonny had done was stare. Then, slowly, and gently they pressed their lips into hers. The kiss was short, but emotional for Sonny. It had been such a long time since they’d kissed anyone, and the feeling was foreign, and a bit scary. Relationships didn’t go right for them. Relationships ruined their life, and ruined their mindset towards that person. And Autumn was special. They didn’t want that to happen with her. Sh-t. These thoughts broke the moment, and Sonny removed their lips (also gently). Their eyes slightly widened as they looked away, taking in what they had done. "Sh-t. I’m so sorry. Was that okay?!” They removed their hands from her shoulders. "Is this okay??”
