Destrian wiped the sweat from his brow with a cloth and looked at the fair maiden as she took a step towards him, “No steed? Ah, thou must have walked, same as I.” She was very pretty unlike any woman he had seen in Camelot but he turned these thoughts away as he wasn’t supposed to think of fair maidens like that, they were people who deserved respect. “Lady Lorelai, would it trouble thou to ask where thou art from?” He looked at her rather revealing clothing and tilted his head, “What sort of armor be this?”
Katsu had taken some time between classes to run back to their room and unpack a little because nothing had been done last night when they rolled in extremely late. They had simply thrown what they had managed to bring with them on the floor and crawled into bed. This morning was no less rushed since they had packed nothing. The certainly were not satisfied with their outfit and they were not feeling sassy or confident with it either. Though Kellan’s compliments had made them feel a little better about it. Katsu hadn’t seen their roommate either though that was probably because they were only in the room a for a few minutes off and on for a few minutes all day. They honestly wondered who they had for a roommate but they didnt mind waiting to find out. Kats checked their watch and realized it was time for lunch. They left their dorm locking the door behind them as they headed to the cafeteria. Katsu was smiling as they got closer to the cafeteria and smelt all the good smells wafting off of the food in the cafeteria. It smelt really good. Nothing like most of the food back home. Kats smiled as he walked in.
Katsu joined the rather long line to order food but didnt mind at all the smell and the thought of hanging out and making friends at lunch were more than enough to keep them in good spirits. Katsu had ordered their food and found a table to sit at they were just getting comfortable and had taken their phone out to text Kellan when they suddenly heard someone introduce themself. “Oh hey nice to meet you Dakota. Im Katsu.” They said smiling. @Kristi
She appreciated him laughing with her. Partly because it made him seem even less uptight. And because he had a great smile, yeah, that too. “Well, looks can always be deceiving. For all you know, I’m a boring cookie cutter. Nothing special about me,” His light tone and cute tilt of his head told Tulip he was joking, though her answer sounded semi-serious. “I’ve met a looot of people-I have excellent judgement,” She replied, keeping a bit of a smile on her face. She felt she knew people-she’d met so many that she knew every kind. “And what about me? Any early perceptions?” A strand of hair found its way around her finger as she raised her brows, subconsciously changing the conversation to be about herself. She did it so often it was almost a habit. “Oh, yeah, love seafood. When it has flavor.” She joked, playfully rolling her dark eyes. She hadn’t swallowed a single slice, but she could already tell it wasn’t packed with enough flavors nor spices for her. This was a meal she wasn’t too excited for. She shoved the chips towards him, “No offense to the chefs back there, but these look dis-…like they aren’t my personal taste. Do you like chips?” She looked down at herself to smooth out the wrinkles in her skirt, thin, plaid fabric which fanned out over her thighs. “Comfort. Had to find some way to make chairs exciting,” She answered, smiling a bit more brightly as she tried to shift more on top of her feet. “Don’t worry about it,” She assured him, excited he wanted to hear more about her even if it was just her name. “Tulip Allarie. And your name…can I guess? As I said, I’ve met quite a few people, and have some ideas.” She leaned towards him in a friendly way, silky hair slipping back over her shoulder. She didn’t want to shake his hand, much too formal, but she was interested in them-or what was on them… Her manicured fingers brushed lightly over his gloved hand, “Couldn’t help but notice this part of your remarkable outfit,” she quipped. “Are you a germaphobe?”
“I wasn’t just talking about your height, tall god, have you seen your face? Chiseled, I say.” Haldir took a drink of his juice, “I suppose I am good looking, but you?” He inspected Wei Ming’s face, “Look just like a pig.” Haldir was going to say a light fairy as he hated them, but he remembered her. He won’t dishonor her memory by comparing the pig to her.
“Well, I assumed because it looks a pencil was sorta pressed in… As of whoever wrote this was angry. But you know, maybe it was anger from something else. How would I know?” Haldir glared at Wei Ming but didn’t say anything, it was best to ignore.
“I suppose I may suffer then, I do not speak of people behind there backs.” Vines grew from the ground and wrapped themselves around Wei Ming, one grabbed his head and smashed his head on the table. Hopefully that would leave a scar, “I know that’s a lie, but if you choose to suffer who am I to stop you?” Haldir raised a brow in amusement, “After all seeing people suffer amused me.” He raised his hand up and brought his hand down towards the vines. The vines began to heat, feeling hotter… Haldir wasn’t going to k-ll him, after all he didn’t die and he wasn’t going to do something that might get him in trouble but he was definitely going to ‘play’
“well I still think you’re a fairy.” Haldir stared at him, “Never once did I deny to not being a fairy nor confirm it.”
“Why is it throbbing?” Haldir ignored him and drank his drink. Hopefully this is the last time he will see him.
@eunoia - Wei Ming~ oops sorry Haldir you will be seeing him more as he is your roomate
As the branch snapped, Tatum heard someone yell from down below, she couldn’t make out the voice in her panicked state. “Nooooooooo!” Tatum grabbed a branch as Kiku quickly shot by. “Oh! Kiku!!” Tatum yelled, probably not making the situation better. Tatum looked up, at a branch that was now occupied by her friend. “Uh…hi.” Tatum nodded slowly, refraining from asking what happened this very second. “Hey there, Kiku. Need any help down?” She offered, though, she probably wasn’t in the best position to do so.
Tatum watched the boy nod. “I’ll be right there, Tatu!” Tatum’s eyebrows creased, in confusion. Tatu? Then it hit her, and her grin over took her face. The boy -who Tatum still hadn’t heard the name of- knelt down. He gently took her ankle, slipping it in her shoe. Tatum blushed. He proceeded to to lace them, and put the other on. “Th- Thank you.” Tatum didn’t know what to say, in her dazzled state. She shook her head, dropping out small leaves and little bits of bark. “Umm, er, Kiku?” she turned towards the tree. “You alright?” she asked, avoiding her awkwardness.
Just oh…? That doesn’t sound good. Anang thought. However, they didn’t want to worry and overthink something as small as a single word. Instead, they just smiled back at Emeka. “A-anyway… I’m not a murderer?” they added, though it sounded like they were questioning themself.
And to their relief, the conversation topic was changed. “Oh! You can find it online?” they suggested. “Don’t your devices have internet, or a browser?” they asked, curious.
Anang smiled, blushing a bit. “Wou yould-- You would? Where can I play that…?” they asked, despite being given the answer a while back. At this moment, their brain stopped functioning.
“No steed? Ah, though must have walked, same as I,” He said, and Lorelai smiled, glad his attention seemed to be on her. She nodded, “Yeah, I mean, the school’s literally right over there.” She nodded towards the direction of the school, sarcasm creeping into her tone. She wasn’t that lazy that she had to ride a horse just to get a minute’s walk away from the school. “No trouble,” she told him quickly, she loved telling people where she was from. “I’m from Olympus.” She told him cooly, wondering if he even knew where that was. “And where do you come from, handsome?” She smirked, continuing to inch closer to him-even more satisfied with the fact his attention seemed to be on her outfit. “Louis Vuitton. You like?” It wasn’t armor, and despite the quality, it was too little to protect her from anything. She was immortal, though, so who cared.
Destrian nodded when she mentioned the castle being close, “Thou words ring with truth.” He smiled when she said no trouble. Destrian tilted his head, “Olympus? I have not heard of the place called ‘Olympus’.” The fair maiden then asked the same question in return with a comment on his appearance, Destrian chuckled, “I hail from Camelot, the court of my grand uncle King Arthur, and the Knights of the Round Table.” He recognized how proud he sounded and frowned, “I must apologize fair Lady Lorelai, I did not mean to boast of my home, as I’m sure your ‘Olympus’ is just as grand.” He said, an attempt to reconcile his mistake. Lady Lorelai then approached closer still and gestured to her attire and said a name, Destrian tilted his head again and gently reached out his hand to feel the clothing, it surely didn’t feel like armor, “Why art thou wearing this…‘Louis Vuitton’, did he harm thou?”
Joelene rolled her eye at the number comment. She did entertain the idea of giving it to him. After all, she could block his number if he was too annoying. And his smile comment was the exact reason she hated smiling, despite what curly fries believed. “Keep them close, now,” Joelene said, quietly getting up and moving back to her original seat. She then used the fabric glue on the two chairs next to her, setting her trap. “You can open them now. Also, since they only complimented you for your nose, does that mean the rest of your face isn’t desirable?” Joelene took another loud bite of her salad.
He nodded, “Desde que era niño.” Her eyes almost popped out of her head. She hadn’t thought it possible to get any more excited about this conversation, but here she was, smile bigger than ever, speaking Spanish with someone for the first time in a long time. “¡Yo también! Desde que era una niña.” “Me too! Well, since I was a little girl.” She looked even more enthusiastic compared to Alec, who, though smiling, casually sipped on his drink which still had liquid in it even tho they drank from it like 293930 times every post He raised a brow in surprise. “De verdad? Que pasa con tu hermano?” He asked, tone teasing. “Exactamente por qué deberíamos salir de aquí. Lejos de él.” “Exactly why we should get out of here. Far away from him.” She told him wistfully grabbing his hands, as if that would provide some extra convincing.
Every time she tried to tease him back and flip things around, he only pushed back harder-it was fair, he was practically an expert at this. Perhaps what made her so inferior at playing games was the involuntary redness that came into her cheeks every time he said practically anything. This time it was a smug and suggestive question that left Alec with an expectant smirk and Camilla with her lips pressed together, trying to think of what even to say to that. “I don’t know…You’re soo ungrateful, do you deserve any more kisses?” Another competition, of sorts? She wanted him to admit he liked her nose kiss.
He only chuckled at her accusation, so she stuck out her bottom lip and narrowed her eyes to show she meant business. Though her expression did a complete 180° at Alec’s next smooth statement. “I’m very sure my cousin Eundr will not like hearing about me flirting with people but for very different reasons.” Camilla’s first thought was how much she wished she could take everything back. Her furious, accusative expression dropped to reveal a twisted one of mortification and regret. How would she take back her words? Alec must think she was so stupid right now. Maybe he even hated her. She couldn’t stop staring at him even though she wanted to look away. The fact that he was leaning closer to her didn’t help. “I-I-I’m so sorry…I thought…I-I…” She looked momentarily confused, “Wait…so…you aren’t dating your cousin, are you?” She asked suspiciously, then shook her head mournfully. “No, no, I’m just…” She smacked her forehead with her palm, internally scolding herself. She and Jason had also shared cake and clothes!! But she wasn’t dating him!!
“So you’re not my lady, huh? Oh, well, we can cancel all the plans we planned together then.” She looked like she’d been zapped by something, eyes widening like that of a sad puppy. She slouched over the table, “I’m not deserving to be your lady,” she sighed dramatically. “Really? And how fast do I change my mind?” “Like this,” she snapped her fingers in the air. He offered his left cheek, and she giggled, kissing that one twice as well. At least she could make some part of him jealous. “Aww, okay!!” She grinned, “I’m not crushing you?”
@Kristi - alec : omg i’m literally about to cry over the song you included-i hope this will be them someday
He smiled at Kiku, who in return, told him their pronouns. “Noted. It’s awesome to meet you. Love the hair.” For a moment, even though Royal still felt slightly panicked, everything was pretty calm. Tatum was inching down the tree, and Kiku and Royal were introducing themselves to one another. Y’know…typical stuff. But in a second, everything turned chaotic. “Tatum!-” Kiku shot up in the air, further up than Royal had ever seen Tatum go. Now they were the one grasping a branch for dear life. Tatum and Royal both stared up at Kiku, though Royal seemed the most surprised between the two of them. His jaw dropped as he craned his neck to stare at Kiku-they can both fly? Perhaps that’s why they were already friends, they shared the ability to float into trees though neither of them could manage that well, from what he could see, as they’d both gotten trapped in minutes. He wasn’t judging, though, the open mouth was somewhat from awe- He’d always thought being able to fly like his Dad or having some sort of powers would be super cool. Though, judging by the smell that now surrounded him, Tatum and Kiku didn’t share the same exact abilities.
She smiled down at him, which made him blush again. He quickly tried to manage a smile too, keeping his eyes on her enchanting blue ones as he tied up the second shoe. “Er… I’ll be right there, Kiku! Hang on!” He already felt overwhelmed and he had just arrived at this place! He almost tied her laces wrong, as he wasn’t looking down, but he eventually tied them tightly, then clasped his hands together triumphantly. Though he didn’t look too satisfied, there was another thing to take care of, poor Kiku, stranded high up in the tree. Grasping Tatum’s arms as gently as he could, he helped her up, holding on for a moment afterwards to make sure she wouldn’t balloon away from him. “You good there?” He asked her, grinning. He turned towards the tree as well, “Kiku, do you need help? There’s a sturdy-looking branch if you just lower your right foot…” He hollered up at them, along with Tatum. His mind was racing, trying to find the best way for them to climb down.
@ouijaloveletters [next] - kiku : my embarrassment for kiku rn- + @eunoia - tatum - ayyy he finally knows her name!!
“Oh hey nice to meet you Dakota. Im Katsu.” Dakota looked at the dark haired person for a second before slightly chuckling, “That’s sounds a lot like cat soup.” They said as they sat down and took a bite of their food, “So your favorite color?” If they were going to sit there with him, might as well talk to him as to not make the environment so awkward. Adams would have chuckled and said something about the lines like ‘really favorite color?’ and Dakota would have responded with, ‘Being ugly isn’t a trend anymore Potter’
“A-anyway… I’m not a murderer?” Emeka blinked then gave Anang a friendly smile, “I never said you were” He chuckled. “So what’s your favorite food?” He asked eating his food. He wanted to change the mood of the conversation and that was the only thing he could think about.
“Don’t your devices have internet, or a browser?” Emeka nodded, “It does, after all father wants me to learn.” He said drinking his drink.
“Wou yould-- You would? Where can I play that…?” Emeka smiled at his new friend, “You can play it on my device or I can help you install it on yours.”
Kiku looked down at Royal and Tatum, yelling down. “I’m ok! Ok, got it!” They yelled when Royal explained about the branch. They turned onto their stomach, carefully shimmying down the tree. They made it down about five minutes later, sighing. “Well, that was an adventure. Are you ok, Tatum?” They asked, pulling leaves and twigs out of their short hair. “This is why I can’t eat curry.” @ethereal - Royal @eunoia - Tatum
“Umm, friends are good to have, it’s not really my forte though.” Theorous looked at her in shock, before regaining his posture he laughed a little, “You sound just like my brother Colden.” He said, “You two would definitely get along.” Theorous noticed they both seemed nervous around him and he frowned, he thought about leaving but wouldn’t that just be rude?“Oh, my gosh, same. I can’t wait to spend this school year with you, Leo,” Valetina gushed, “You too, you’re beautiful.” He turned to Ariadne and just smiled. Valetina asked Ariadne to go to her locker with her and Theorous thought this would be a perfect chance to leave “Sorry, sweetie, but it’s…erm…lady problems…” Oh where they going to hook up or kiss? Theorous thought, “No it’s ok.” he giggled winking at them, he shipped it.
“Er… I’ll be right there, Kiku! Hang on!” What more could you ask for? Tatum’s in dialogue asked, all ready shipping her with someone. She thanked him for his services… As a shoe lacer. “Wow,” Tatum said under her breathe, as he helped her up. “quite the gentleman. I like it.” she concluded, still rather quietly. “You good there?” Tatum’s grin grew wider. "Definitely know I am. They both turned towards Kiku.
Tatum watched Kiku shuffle down the tree, sometimes awkwardly reaching up as if she where close enough to pluck her off. “Well, that was an adventure. Are you ok, Tatum?” She raised her brows. “Are you okay? That was like… whoosh” she said, pointing up with the ‘whoosh’ sound. "This is why I can’t eat curry.’ Tatum didn’t understand, so she opened her mouth to ask, closing it again as she realized. She peeked over at the boy, then leaned towards Kiku. “Oh. Sorry.” She said, referencing them having to say that in front of the boy. She turned on her heels to face him fully. “Wait, I didn’t catch your name up there,” she pointed upwards. “what was it” She asked.
Ariadne watched, shocked also as it seemed like maybe she said something wrong. “You sound just like my brother Colden.” Oh. Just dramatic. "You two would definitely get along. Please don’t say he’s here! Please don’t call him over is he is! Ari silently pleaded in her head. “Is, is that a good thing?” she mainly asked herself.
Ari slowly started tuning them in again. "“You too, you’re beautiful.*” He turned to Ariadne, just offering her a smile. She nodded, not sure if she should be relieved or angry. She chose relieved. Valentina made an excuse -a good one like she said she would- and Ari swept away along side her.
“Thank you. That was so awkward… Um, not because, because he wasn’t attractive or anything… Because… Not because I lied, wait what?! No I didn’t, well, actually… Nevermind. I’m not good at meeting people.” She tried to cover up, turning pink and looking away.
“I suppose I am good looking, but you?… Look like a pig.” Wei dramatically frowned. “Just when I was gonna praise your self confidence too.”How self centered was that? Same, but still self centered.
“How would I know?” Mr Slim Shady Hair only glared. Okay, confirmed.
Wei Ming supposed, stabbing someone was enough to quench ones thirst for another blood… Or at least pain. But oh no, he was terribly off as vines grew from the ground and wrapped him. Briefly he wondered what the ground looked like, if it was cracked. But his thoughts were cut short as his head came crashing into the sparkling counter. “I know that’s a lie, but if you choose to suffer who am I to stop you?” Wei Ming barely murmured “By not causing it.” he couldn’t even tell if he said that out loud or in his head. “After all seeing people suffer amuses me.” Wei Ming could barely life his head, the sing double of whatever he could. The vines grew hot, hotter, hotter, and hotter. He squeezed his jaw hard together, not wanting to give the lad the joy of hearing him yell. He never tried to let anyone at the orphanage, so why him? Where those days trying to come and haunt him? Where night terrors becoming day terrors? Were they coming just to… terrorize him? “AHHH” An excruciating noise for his excruciating pain.
“Never once did I deny to not being a fairy nor confirm it” Wei eyes were glistening, though he didn’t know. “Sounds like confirming now to me.” he said, not even watching his words anymore.
Wei tried to look at the mysterious stranger for help, but really, he couldn’t tell which of the four - err five- of them he was. He pointed towards one that was more towards the right. “This one?” he asked, his throat drying from something he couldn’t think of… He could think. *Why does it hurt to think?"
@Kristi - Haldir : welp, Wei isn’t gonna be able to walk, talk or see after this is he gonna pass out? also, d@mn should I be censoring this? (~_~;)
