Luckily, he agreed to let her help him. But she couldn’t have that much, so he added ”Wait. what about your friends?” and gestured to the table she was going to visit. Now, she didn’t know a single person on the table but what was she supposed to say? ” Oh , theyre not my freinds but I was so bored and lonely i was going to sit there and strike up small talk with strangers” Yeah, totally not pathetic she muttered.

It was sure to bite her in the ass , but all she could think to say was something along the lines of ”They’ll be fine” . she then walked to the door as fast as she could without seeming conspicous. ”let’s check the courtyard” she said as she pulled a map out her pocket.

She felt lost just looking at it. The school was enormous and the pathways seemed to tangle together like a nest of snakes. It was a miracle she got any of her classes, let alone on time. Then again, she tended to follow wherever the same three girls from every class would titter off to. She then turned to tate. Sure, he was so mousy a light breeze could shatter his tiny body. But unlike her , it wasn’t his second day. Maybe she could ask . But if it was his first year he would be just as lost as her. And he sure as Sh*t wasn’t a senior. She sighed, tracing the map with her finger . If she asked , it would just seem like small talk so she said ” You a freshman here, tate?” while trying to solve the riddle that was she schools layout

“Just when I was gonna praise your self confidence too.” Haldir took a sip of his drink, “And why would I need your praise?” He glared daggered at Wei Ming, “Something as low as you shouldn’t even be able to speak.”

“By not causing it.” Halidr only stared at him with icy blue eyes, enough to leave people running away cowardly. But who wouldn’t be scared? Haldir wasn’t a person, he was a beast as people called him. A beast out for revenge and blood for the tragedy that fell on him. A beast who had train till he couldn’t feel his body anymore, going way out of his limits. Haldir was a dark fairy and not just anyone, he was The beast of the dark as people called him. kakóbes as the light fairies called him. The only people who still thought of him as a person where his aunt and younger sister, the other dark fairies respected him but didn’t think of him as a person- Haldir knew that. After all what type of person would he be if he didn’t have emotions. AHHH Haldir didn’t even blink as he stared at Wei Ming, “Are you perhaps ready to open up?” The hot vines wrapped around Wei Ming’s neck, squeezing it… not so tight that it would kill him of course, he needed him alive.

“Sounds like confirming now to me.” Wei ming said, “It wasn’t” Haldir took a sip of his drink/

. “This one?” To tell the truth, Haldir didn’t even feel pity or a bit of sympathy watching Wei Ming suffer like this. “I will help you, if you give me one thing that I want.” Haldir raised a brow.

Amka was already heading towards the door, leaving Tate dumbfounded behind. He started to catch up. “Let’s check the courtyard” she said. ”Good idea." Tate squeaked, watching her pull out a map. ”Whoa, did you plan this or are just always prepared?" He ask, partly joking but mostly sincere.

You a freshman here, Tate?” Tate nodded. ”Yeah, just got here earlier. What about you?" he asked, not sure how to create small talk. ”Umm, have you settled in yet?" He tried at small talk again.

Nika didn’t think judgement in any way was excellent. However, he didn’t want to start an argument with a person he just met. She asked him for his opinion on her, he had to admit ‘early perceptions’ sounded better than judgement, but he’d like to avoid doing both. Nika wondered what things she would be excited to eat. And he was pretty sure she was going to say disgusting right there, chuckling a bit when she stopped herself. Nika also never thought chairs needed to be exciting, but it was certainly an interesting point of view. Tulip Allarie, Nika thought that was a lovely name. Before he could say his answers to her questions, she did something that made his heart race but not in the good way. Nika froze up for a moment as her fingers brushed over his gloves. Then, he received a jolt of adrenaline, flicking his hand to knock hers away and jolting backwards. “Stay away!” he yelped. His recoil caused him to end up on a collision course with the floor and an empty chair next to him. Nika groaned when his body hit the floor. He tried to look at Tulip, but he couldn’t. Nika felt like he was going to be sick, “Sorry… that’s just not… it’s a family… I am not comfortable with people touching them. If it’s any consolation, I can eat the chips as an apology for acting out.”

She glanced up at his face-he had an adorable and gentle smile. She’d been so focused on his sparkling six-pack that she hadn’t noticed the way he tilted his head when he spoke, or the way his eyes crinkled with his grin. Kinda like a puppy. Cute. “Olympus? I have not heard of the place called Olympus.” She’d been smiling softly, but the smile dropped and she frowned when he said he had no idea what Olympus was, as if he’d disrespected her somehow. “Have you been living under a rock? Mount Olympus? Where the gods live?” She wasn’t trying to be rude, though there wasn’t much warmth in her voice as she interrogated him. She hoped her beauty would still be enough to make her extremely impressive in his eyes. Well, he was somewhat royal, Lorelai thought, a bit confused at the family tree. Thank goodness he’s not a prince, at least… “Grander. Reaching into the heavens, everyone shimmery and beautiful, not a care in the world.” She cooed, looking up at him. D-mn, he was tall. His hand brushed against the violet fabric, his face taking on a curious expression. She was sure he was just looking for an excuse to get closer to her. She wrinkled her nose, then stopped-she hated when that happened. Instead, she decided to look flawless and slightly disturbed, “Um…no. I’m wearing his clothes because they’re expensive and pretty enough for me to be seen in them.” She looked down at her outfit-still perfect. Though she did brush off a golden flower petal from the breast pocket.

She only rolled her eyes, providing no number. He scowled-he would have to keep asking for it every so often until she realized what a persistent and charming guy he was and gave it up. Until then, he would just keep his eyes tightly closed, doing what she said and not realizing how much he looked like a duck. “Keep them closed now.” Why did she sound so far away? Wasn’t she going to… “You can open them now.” He quickly did, then turned around to see her back where she used to sit. That was the surprise? He stood up and walked over to her again taking the seat to her right. He didn’t look at the seat before taking it, but normal people didn’t do that…right? “Why did I need to close them in the first place? Just so you could move seats? I found you so easily.” Ace asked bitterly, though he tried not to raise his voice again. She ate her salad pretty loudly, so he spoke loudly in her direction, “I’ve gotten compliments on my whole body for your information.” Feeling more insecure.

Chiyo’s ears twitched. It was way too loud in here for her liking. Due to her hearing, the amount of noise in the Castleteria was quite overwhelming for her. She huffed, going to get food, tail twitching in annoyance. She got food, immediately walking outside to eat and bask in the sun. She settled down, picking up a piece of her fish, letting out a small “Nya~” in contentment. Don’t let her know you heard it, though.

And why would I need your praise?“I don’t know, sometimes it feels good to let others complement you.” he said, this time with sincerity. “Someone as low as you shouldn’t even be able to speak.” Wei stood, ready to defend himself over it… But really, he believed the same. Even if the “rules” didn’t apply to him. He sat again. “You sure you’re not some evil prince?” That sounded almost fitting for him. “It’s more than alright to accept it, if so.”

Are you perhaps ready to open up?” Wei Ming felt those nasty little vines that hurt like h3ll slip around his neck, becoming hotter. He mentally -somehow- crossed off ‘burning to d3ath’ on his ‘ways to di3’ mental list. He shook his head. He wasn’t going to budge.

It wasn’t” Wei rubbed his neck. iT wASn’T. He mocked in his head.

Wei looked down at his blood stained leg… Legs. “I will help you, if you give me one thing I want.I could really use a drink right now. He slowly titled his head, stopping immediately as a sharp pain pinched him. He tried to spit at the mysterious stranger, but it came more as a drool falling on his lap. “Hmm?” That was about the only sound he could make.

“I don’t know, sometimes it feels good to let others complement you.” The only show of gratitude he needs is the head of the king of the light fairies. Haldir was ready to grab Wei Ming, change locations and draw his sword as soon as Wei Ming stood. Internally he relax as Wei Ming sat back down*. “You sure you’re not some evil prince?”* Haldir took a sip of his drink as he stared at Wei ming.

Wei Ming didn’t budge and Haldir internally smirked, “So that’s a no?” The vines grabbed the fork from Haldir’s plate and brought it to Wei Ming’s eyes, instead of poking his eyes the vines smacked his face with the fork. It wrapped itself even tighter around Wei Ming’s body and grew even hotter. “You can’t die right?” Haldir raised a brow to signify a small smile. The vines began to burn, even if Wei Ming couldn’t die he would still be in pain. “Are you ready now, dear?” Haldir’s eyes grew even colder and darker.

Haldir internally gave Wei Ming a disgusted look as a drool escaped his lips, “Hmm?” Wei Ming said, “Is that a no?”

Peanut had escaped from Ahnvi’s dorm room and was now roaming in the gardens. It was a beautiful place; not as pretty and cosy as the forest Peanut grew up in, but beautiful regardless. She wandered the gardens for a while, picking colourful flowers with her mouth and sometimes chasing butterflies. She was one active kitten. She played around for half an hour or so and was starting to get hungry. Her stomach grumbled and she frowned. Peanut didn’t want to go back inside Ahnvi’s dorm to get food. She was enjoying herself here. But she didn’t have another choice. While on the path back to the school, she started smelling fish nearby. It seemed to be coming from behind some bushes. She ran towards the smell and found a plate full of fish. She grabbed a small fish and gobbled it up in a minute. Yummy! – she thought and licked her hand. She looked beside her and found a girl eating a piece of fish. “Hi!” she meowed happily. Peanut nudged the girl and purred. “Can I eat your fish?” she made cute kitty eyes at her started licking her hand.

So that’s a no?” The vines snatched the fork from Haldir’s plate, causing his eyes to widen, and brought it to Wei Ming’s eyes, instead of poking his eyes, the vines whacked him across the face with the fork. It wrapped itself around his body even tighter and became even hotter. “You can’t die right?D•mn me with insults. I hope not. He’d kill me a second time if so. Wei gritted his teeth, face slowly creeping red. “Are you ready now, dear?” Why did Wei keep this up? There would be no one to congratulate him on his endurance, only someone to point out mistakes. Some who’d look down at him for being the sly vile fox like creature he had became. Someone to haunt him. Why did he keep him a secret? Why did that uncontrollable rush of power seize him when submerged in shadows? Why didn’t he join him years ago? “No.” Wei barely gritted. Why did he never try with his da?

Is that a no?” Wei was exhausted with this. His mind slowly fell into place again, but with a deadly headache with the cost. “Maybe” He said between a breathe. It hurt his head, just all the clammer of the Castleteria, especially having to use his own words now.

“Well, it’s quite simple. The more people I interact with, the less time I have to study,” Jara answered blankly.
Bertram’s mouth opened as if mouthing ‘Ahh’ and accompanied it with a nod. “How honourable, to choose your studies over friendship or the company of others. I suppose I do the same with my garden or simply being outside.”

“So, from what I’m gathering, smiling is a sign of appreciation, friendship, and kindness? I suppose the world does make rye bread, so I can’t exactly disagree with that point. I can’t say I’ve given too much thought to what bad is around us. Would you like to enlighten me on that topic?”, Jara asked, picking up a pencil and flipping through her notebook.
“Yes, that is what I’ve been told about smiling,” he answered with a smile of his own. “As for that bad, I haven’t come across much bad in my live. From what I know and can gather from my minimal experience is that death is one of bad things life throws our way. The loss of someone close to us is devastating. Many people do not always get what they want either. Some are taken from homes and what they want to do, to be put somewhere they do not wish to be.” He was speaking of himself and that played heavy on his heart.

“No, it’s fine. I will do the task myself. You shall focus on your own task of cooking,” Jara stated.
Her answer told Bertram that perhaps people did not like to share or spend time together as he had thought. “Very well. I do apologise if I had been too forward with my suggestion.”

“That isn’t necessary.” Jara reasoned, “I am not great enough yet to be deserving of those, so I’d recommend you refrain.”
“If we were only to give compliments to the already great then how would those who weren’t gain the confidence to become great themselves.”

“I’d be interested… in seeing those notes sometimes. Additionally, it’s not about being tidy. It’s about recollection and what works for you,” Jara responded.
Her request to see his notes worried him. He didn’t want her to know he was illiterate but he couldn’t lie either. So he tried avoiding it for now. “My notes are back in my room. Perhaps we could do an exchange of notes at a later time when I have them on me?”

@Cadborosa - Jara - Since we’ve now had two time skips, should we end their conversation? Sorry to be so late.

Daniel snorted again when he watched Asa lean back on the window and fall out of it just as quickly as he stood back up again but outside. Realising his mistake, Daniel reddened and looked at his feet, hoping he wouldn’t be judged or called rude.
“Yeah,” he responded to the boy who was now outside. Staring at his shoes, he shrugged, “You walked out halfway, huh? I would have love to see her face when you did that. Bet it was funny.” He gave another shrug. “Who needs maths? And who needs to graduate? Not me, even if I don’t want to disappoint my father.”

Daniel looked up, but not at Asa; he looked at the window sill, as if judging it. A second later, Daniel stepped closer to carefully climb over the sill and duck under the now open window. “I’ll try to remember that one,” said Daniel, acknowledging Asa’s advice. “I’ll just stay away from windows, yeah?”

Cara spent the rest of the class talking about her sister while Peckerhead asked endless questions. Well, mostly they whispered in the hopes that their teacher wouldn’t hear them. Peckerhead was relieved to know that Cara wasn’t just being nice to her yesterday, and she did actually want to see her again if it wasn’t for her surprise family reunion. Not only did Cara want to see her again and actually be friends, but she also said that most of her friends were like sister. She called Peckerhead a sister. Peckerhead had a sibling, she had a sister. CARA AND PECKERHEAD WERE SISTERS!

Cara nodded. “Of course! C’mon, let’s get a good spot in line.”
Returning Cara’s nod with one of her own, as well as a beaming smile too. She was feeling over the moon after their chat during class, and now Cara accepted her invite too. Peckerhead’s day had literally turned upsidedown.

Arriving at the Castleteria, Peckerhead had never seen so many people, at least not that often anyway. Not all of such tall heights either. The pair walked to a queue of people, which she figured must be where they wait to order food. Cara said, “I’m so freaking hungry, I could eat anything.”
Looking where Cara was look, a large board with lots of writing; a menu, Peckerhead read it for herself. “Yeah, me too. What does hunger feel like-” Peckerhead left her question hanging as her eyes focused on a pure white person in front of them, one that Cara had noticed too.
“Oh my gosh…” She murmured. Then spoke normally…ish, though Peckerhead didn’t quite understand, “Excuse me. Pardon Moi. Cara De Vil. Cute gloves!! Wherever did you find them?”
The girl’s reply came with a startled manner, “Cara! Oh my, didn’t expect you to see me this early. You almost gave me a shock, I could’ve melted right here on the spot.” Then she continue speaking a language that Peckerhead did know, the language of fashion. It wasn’t until the girl addressed her that Peckerhead felt she almost understand again.
“Hi,” Peckerhead responded, giving her a slow and wide wave. “I’m Peckerhead, you look very pretty.”

As Ruthie was reaching for one of her two oranges, the boy stepped on it, spilling its juice all over the ground and missing the tips of her fingers by mere centimetres. He then picked up her other orange and she scrambled back up onto her feet, watching him. “Hey, why’d ye squish me orange?” Her smile was faltering slightly. “Can I please have that one back? I was going t’ eat it. It’s a late grub fer me.” Her voice had a slight tremor to it.
“Oranges don’t even want to be around you? How pathetic is that?”, Valdis sneered.

Although Tsuru cut in with a question of their own before she could ask. “My Oz. Well, it only has one city, the Emerald City, at the centre of Oz. The others are more like what you’d call towns, perhaps. Yes, towns, rather small in comparison. My country is the we southern one, we call it Quadling Land. “…A game?”, Caspian repeated hesitantly. “…You don’t think that’s what happened to me, do you?”
Syrus was pretty certain that that is exactly what had happened to her. Although he had never actually seen the results of the game being played, something inside was telling him so. However, he had read that humans feared death, which is why he knew not to mention to too many people where he was from and who his father was. This meant that Syrus needed to be careful what he said, so that Caspian didn’t suddenly feel a dreadful fear of death too. “No,” he lied. Syrus wasn’t sure how he managed it so easily, perhaps it was helped by his total lack of understand of emotions. “I do not think this is the case. Sp-spirits only play on the closest ones and predicted gravestones down there get closer to the river, the closer they get to death. You- You are young and your predicted gravestone will be very far away from the spirits.”

Syrus didn’t notice the pause before Caspian shook their head and was glad when they did. It meant he was doing a good job so far… right? Then they spoke, “You…are good just the way you are…” Relieved, Syrus only nodded.

Anang’s face flushed red, as their gaze turned to the table. “Right, you never did…” they let out an awkward chuckle. “Um, my favorite food is…” they looked over to their uneaten food, unable to think of something to say. “Oh! Sandwiches!” they answered, struggling to pick one under pressure.

At least the awkwardness faded.

“Oh, why not search things on that? I’m sure there will be a lot of sites to help you!” they smiled.

“I’d love that!” they replied to his suggestion, smiling wide. Although, unsure how it would work on their phone. Emulators, perhaps.

Camilla gave a toothy grimace and Quillian did a poor attempt to hide his look of nausea. He took a moment to compose himself before continuing to talk while she listened attentively. “He’d just say I’m not even an adult yet,” Camilla replied in a grouch. Already grumpy with him, his plan as working. “He wouldn’t listen… he never does. But thanks for the advice!”
“He’s no dad. How old even is he? Hundo P that I’m older than him, so he’s not your dad,” Quillian retorted, wondering if he could turn her against her brother by the end of the day.

Watching her eyes grow wider after he described the number of followers he had made him positively gleeful. “That actually makes a lot of sense!! I didn’t mean to doubt you or anything, sorry! You seem suuuuuuper loveable,” she gushed.
“Thanks,” he said with graditude and a smirk. “I’m V gassed up now. I knew you were going to be hunty and I was going to stan you too.” He didn’t, but people liked hearing it, which would have them eating out of the palm of his hand.

Camilla turned back to Danko and Quillian seethed, Danko saw it on his face. Camilla asked, “I’m actually not that smart. I barely passed half of last years classes. School here is sooo hard!”, she whined, trying to perk her voice up. “Not that I think you’ll fail! You seem smart! I actually just got pretty distracted with… stuff. What’s your name, by the way? I’m Camilla, if you didn’t catch that!”
“No, no, I’m okay, do not worry about me, Camilla,” Danko replied, looking up at Quill. His anger swiftly changed to falsities before Camilla saw. “I’m Danko. No need to talk with me, I need to study. Quill’s right, I’m not smart.” He gulped, hoping he’d said the right thing.

“That’s really stupid," she agreed, folding her arms. *“Who even came up with that? Well, the end of the year is coming soon! Are you excited?” OMG!!! We should throw a party when it happens!!”"
“YASS! Just have to get though this school year,” Quillian exclaimed. “I’m turnt for a party, if you’ll be the snatched girl on my arm. We’d be O.T.P!” He didn’t mean that. “Just no sus brothers are invited, okay?”
