Isaiah looked up in response to Laurie’s question. “No, no. I mean, I don’t think so, at least.” Laurie had Isaiah thinking. Maybe he didn’t like people touching. Even though it made no sense to him, he had never gone through any trauma. Well, technically what happened on his birthday but even that was just Tristan acting out.
Isaiah chose to ignore the fact that Laurie had been helping him out. He was too proud to admit he had been lost and even prouder to admit that he needed help. Isaiah nodded at Laurie’s offer, but he didn’t have the heart to tell Laurie that he barely knew the guy. Maybe Laurie was just easily trusting, something that Isaiah would remember. Of course, that would probably change as they were roommates. “Thanks,” he replied timidly, “I’ll keep that in mind. You can… I’m a fairly trustworthy guy so if you need to talk to someone I guess I’m here, as well.”

Tristan let out a defeated sigh when she made a fake gagging noise and crossed his arms around his chest, “I am not that repulsive, okay? I’ll have you know that, where I’m from, women like me. I’m starting to wonder if your attitude is unique to only you.”
It looked like she was regretting her choice of letting him join her, and telling him her name. He scowled when she asked what his name meant. The only thing he could remember was how it meant bold, “It means bold. In some language, don’t know and don’t care about which one though.” What Tristan didn’t know was that his name also meant loud and scattered. Something that his memory must have conveniently forgotten.
Tristan tried to hold in his laughter after finding out that was her real name - he tried a little at least. He failed and once again burst out laughing. “Last one, I promise,” Tristan was almost wiping the tears out of his eyes. He did, however, seriously stop when she admitted that she didn’t like it either. “Fine, you wanna nickname? How 'bout… Silver? After your hair.”

“What did you say, then?” Aodghan asked through gritted teeth. The question didn’t make much sense as it had the same issue as google translate, but fear tended to come out through words, not text. Also, Aodghan didn’t think many things through. He continued glaring when Dieter started laughing. Aodghan did not think this was very funny. “What do you mean he wouldn’t know. He’s your father, he should care. Even my adopted father cares more about me than that.” Yes, what he said was mean. But he was also scared. And scared people don’t always do what’s right.

Pin Quan Kieu
|| With Rylan || in Mathematics ||
Maybe it was just Pin, but Rylan seemed very sad when he mentioned his age. Pin’s English wasn’t perfect, they didn’t know everything. Expressions were always hard for them, but emotions transferred through languages. Pin pursed their lips and said nothing.
Once again, Pin was looking at Rylan’s hair when it shifted slightly, “it moved.” They said to themself and in a very quiet voice. Pin wanted to touch his hair, but didn’t dare ask. It wasn’t proper. “Please, if I insulted your honor let me know, I wouldn’t want to insult any one else.” Pin didn’t want to focus on his past, so they simply nodded at Rylan’s sympathy. Pin’s head piqued up when they were asked what languages they spoke, “Vietnamese, English, French, and Chinese. I know a little Khmer, only pleasantries though.” Most of the other servants only knew Vietnamese and English, however, seeing as Pin was a general’s servant and adopted ‘son’, they also knew two of the commonly spoken languages.

Kyle was a little worried when the girl looked at him and didn’t say anything, did he do something wrong? He was getting a little peeved when she fully started ignoring him and writing on her math notes. “Look,” he said, “if you didn’t want to you could have just- oh.” He shut up when he read what she had wrote. Well now he just felt stupid. He took a pen out of his bag and wrote back, “Hi Teddy, I’m Kyle.”
Wow, okay, now he just felt stupid and unoriginal. And embarrassed because his hand writing was absolute garbage. He crossed what he had wrote, here we go. He mustered up the best writing he could and wrote; “I’m Kyle, you can call me Kyle. This notebook will do fine… I was actually asking if you had any math notes. I wanted to make sure that you didn’t get anything wrong. I’m kind of a math whiz.” He was happy with that, so he returned the notebook and in turn dropped his pen. He picked it up as quickly as possible and fixed his hair after doing so, which was in a disarray.
