The boy seemed very disoriented to Yavin. “Oh, not again. Sorry!" As some others stared at him puzzled, he apologized and switched his focus to Yavin, who was sitting near the couch where he was sleeping. “I am so sorry. Did I hurt you? Sometimes my body wakes up before my mind does, then of course it starts it’s routine…without regard for anyone else that may be in the room. It’s kind of like sleepwalking only, um, without the actually walking part." Yavin grinned at the boy as he trailed off. Yavin was about to have great fun. “You didn’t happen to try waking me up did you? Because that could also cause it, not that it’s your fault or that I’m blaming you or anything, I should’ve just went to my dorm.” As he extended his hand, the boy barely paused. “Oh, right! I’m Sherwin and if you’re still trying to process what exactly just happened, don’t worry, I’m sure everyone else is too. I, uh…well, let’s just say I’m fast." Yavin’s mind went straight into the darkness. He brushed them off… For the time being. He’d definitely play with his thoughts later. “Oh, no, Sherwin. You’d be completely wrong not to blame me for this.” He flashed a beguiling smile and pulled out the classic cat and mouse game. “I bet your fast with lots of stuff right?” He teasingly purred, testing Sherwins innocence.
Takehiko took a few deep breaths. He was trying to convince himself if they wanted to hurt him, they’d do it already. However, that only made him think of worse scenarios. Takehiko shook his head, “I’m good, sorry,” Takehiko said, starring at their hand. He hesitantly reached, pausing before taking it. Takehiko’s fear reaction was in full effect as he thought of all the bad things that could happen. He shook his head and just pushed himself up. Takehiko didn’t want to risk it, or rather, he couldn’t force himself to risk it. “The one we’re outside, 218. I-I’ve been out here trying to go to class.” He focused his gaze towards his feet.
Tsuru nodded when Takehiko said he was ok. “Ok, good.” He took their hand and pulled himself up. Once he was standing, Tsuru let go of his hand, smiling warmly. They blinked when he said he was trying to go to class. “You lost? What class? Maybe I help.” @Cadborosa - Takehiko
“Oh, well… it’s embarrassing to say. I’ve just been trying to work up the courage to go. New environments… freak me out,” Takehiko said. He was flustered by saying this allowed. He was now wishing he had with him to fold or something to ease his nerves. Upon Tsuru asking if he was lost, Takehiko remembered that they were lost. “Hold on, how did you plan on helping me when you’re also lost?”
Lav was a bit surprised “Really? Your Darkness freaks you out? Well there’s something that freaks me out about Your Darkness but that’s because he looks and dresses like my mother, but acts in a way everybody is afraid of disrespecting him or talking up to him so I get confused in that class. But It’s weird seeing so many people that say he looks creepy too. It’s childhood for me.” He remebered that’s how he managed to not be so scared around that teacher so he told her. “If you ever feel overpowered by fear when Your Darkness is teaching the class, just imagine the scenario of him scolding me with a high-oitched voice for … I don’t know, drawing on the kitchen walls. It’ll be funny and hopefully relax you a bit.”
“You’re not your parents, trust me. My dad’s a jerk, and I’d like to think of myself as a nice person. He’s just butthurthes stuck as a human and I can shift. Oh, let me show you." Devi slumped back in her chair, her figure dwindling. As she transformed, she kept her humanoid characteristics and soon sat in front of Wei Ming as a little monkey. He could only stare in awe as monkey-Devi, as she smiled up at him. As a smile lit his features, he forced the speechlessness out of him. “That… It’s…” He’d never seen that in his sixteen years. “I feel like ‘amazing’ would be an understatement.” He truthfully said. Sherwin shook his head, “No, not at all, I should’ve went to my dorm like I said, so, not your fault.” The boy then asked if he was fast with lots of stuff, he noticed the emphasis on that particular phrase but he dismissed it. Sherwin chuckled, “Well, it depends.” Sherwin shrugged, “If you mean ‘how fast can I do any given task?’, well if I wanted to, I could do just about anything as fast as I can run, which currently is a little over Mach 1, or the speed of sound. Reading, reacting, sports, anything high-energy I can do fast, except swimming, I mean yes I can swim faster but water is a little more difficult to move through than air, so I kind of just run across it instead.” Sherwin shook his head, eager to change the subject, he hated talking about everything he can do, it made it sound like he was better than everyone else when he really wasn’t, that was just his ‘normal’. “What about you, I’m sure you’re far more interesting than little old me.”
@Tiina ~ Yavin (as you can see, very innocent, looks like Yavin has his work cut out for him…)
Devi shifted back, cheeks turning pink when Wei Ming called her shifting amazing. “Oh, I wouldn’t say that…probably because I’ve been able to do it my whole life, so it’s completely normal to me. Also my dad hates it, so he’s really brought down my self esteem…” Devi said awkwardly, playing with her fingers. She was glad Wei Ming found it amazing. @Tiina - Wei Ming
“No, not at all, I should’ve went to my dorm like I said, so, not your fault…" Yavin didn’t care if it was his fault or not. “Really, it is. It was an abrupt wake up.But, I am glad I did.” Yavin asked what kind of stuff he was fast at. “Well, it depends.” Yavin cocked a brow, as he shrugged. Sherwin babbled on about tasks or something. Basically, all Yavin heard, was yes he was fast and could do basically anything fast. Except swimming, or whatever he said. Definitely not enough time to add his comment about ending up sore. He shook his head instead of rambling on. “What about you, I’m sure you’re far more interesting than little old me." Yavin pushed his golden hair back over his shoulders and sat with his legs crossed. “I’m an elf. I can’t do much, a little magic here and there, but I do pride myself in it.” He was about to turn a conversation back on speedy boy, as he forgot he never mentioned his name. “I’m Yavanna. Known as Yavin from the elderly, and Yava by my mommy.” He cocked his head back, “your a quick boy,” he purred, “why then are you slow to keep telling me about yourself? I very much want to know more about you.” He unfolded his legs, leaning back on his palms.
“Oh, I wouldn’t say that…probably because I’ve been able to do it my whole life, so it’s completely normal to me. Also my dad hates it, so he’s really brought down my self esteem…" Wei Ming gently reached out to her her hands, where her fingers played and intertwined with each other. “And now it’s my job to bring it back.” A wide smile over took his face. “Just so you know,” he leaned forward whispering, I’m not going to stop until your self confidence is full. One hundred and fifty percent." He sat up straight again, thinking. “Did I say amazing? I think I meant astonishing, or maybe incredible? More like astounding, oh, oh or phenomenal? Marvelous, wondrous and fantastical. Ahh, I know, miraculous.” He leaned back nodding, still smiling.
Sherwin decided not to press the issue, for whatever reason, the guy insisted it was his fault but was glad he did. Sherwin smiled when the guy said he was an elf, “That’s so cool! I have lots of questions, like are you good at archery? Oooh, what kind of magic? You should, magic is awesome!” The guy then introduced himself as Yavanna, a rather peculiar name, but then again, he is elven. Upon hearing Yavin’s next words, Sherwin’s usual bright, energetic demeanor quickly changed sour. “I am a lot of things, Yava. Slow. Is. Not. One of them.” He said emphasizing each word, especially ‘not’, “Say that to me ever again, and I’ll show you just how fast I really am.” Sherwin said calmly with a threatening tone, his gaze now cold as steel. He could tolerate nicknames, playful jokes, but the one thing he absolutely will not let stand, is being called slow…not after what happened. “Now, if you would like to change the subject, then we’ll keep talking.” He gaze softened a little, but not much, at least not until the subject gets changed.
@Tiina ~ Yavin (Ooooh, Sherwin’s got a little edge to him… )
“That’s so cool! I have lots of questions, like are you good at archery? Oooh, what kind of magic? You should, magic is awesome!" Yavin couldn’t help himself, of course he was going to answer. “I wouldn’t say I’m any better than a man who devoted his life to it, but I could pick it up if I wanted. As for magic, it’s more like floating and moving stuff, and no, I will never be able to make anything come to life. I don’t have the genes. Anyways…” Yava looked about the room, a couple stray papers still on the ground. “I can’t cast spells,” his focus briefly left Sherwin, as his fingers twisted a pulling feeling trying to keep them together. Not that anyone could see that anyhow. He looked up at speedy boy, then back to focus on his fingers. It seemed as glitter sparked here and there. “To be frankly honest, most elves can’t cast any spells, highest rank or not. But, we do, do magic. Completely different.” Papers fluttered neatly in a pile on Sherwins lap. “Hmm, I could have done better.” He quietly noted to himself, then quickly introduced himself and such. “I am a lot of things, Yava. Slow. Is. Not. One of them." Yavin kept his face neutral. But his heart was going, and a smirk teased to make an appearance. He definitely wanted Sherwin. He couldn’t resist anyone who chose to use his mother’s nickname. “Say that to me ever again, and I’ll show you just how fast I really am.” Yavin flung his arm over the now angry speedy boy. "You might have to show me now. How could one not want to test your speeds? Yavin tried, yes tried, his hardest not to make that sound as dark as it was his mind. He brushed away the papers from around them. “I won’t call you slow,” he leaned in close. “I won’t.” He whispered.
Devi felt a warm hand intertwine with hers, looking up to see Wei Ming. “Hey, thanks. I’m already working on it. My dad’s a jerk, and I’m trying not to listen to him.” Devi laughed when Wei Ming kept spouting off adjectives about her. “Hahaha, ok, ok, I get it. It as pretty cool. I really appreciate it.” @Tiina - Wei Ming
“I… I guess.” She finally found the stickers she was looking for. Frogs and cute cups that, promptly, were added to the collection of doodles on the page.
“I’m kinda bored honestly,” She took out her thermos. “I wanna go back to sleep,” Swigging from the thermos.
Juna sighed before resting her head on the desk, shuffling her feet on the floor. “I’m done with class already.”
Juna scribbled more random doodles onto the page, gradually filling up the borders.
Juna pulled out stickers, and Dieter smiled slightly. Cute. “Yeah. I’m bored and sleepy too. Is that coffee?” He asked, poking the thermos, his nail pinging against it. “I have insomnia, so I don’t get much sleep. It sucks.” He groaned, whacking his face against the table again. @RainyDay - Juna
Tove slipped in wearily, not particularly fond of the prospect of the sorcerers in this place being even more powerful than Tove could imagine. Also, he recalled a large number of them from villainous history. Also to Toves delight, she got a backache because he didn’t usually stand or walk upright for this long. But, at least Tove was good at magic. Even if she wasn’t as amazing, Baba Yoga thought them well. Tova slipped into a spot next to someone–with cool hair–that they recognized from his earlier. But, within her brief eyeballing Tove stepped on their foot. Tove immediately took his fist and rubbed it around their heart, signing sorry simultaneously saying the words aloud. “Sorry, sorry, sorry.” Tove repeated, almost pleading.
@bpalmer | I’ll try and keep Toves pronouns he/she so we don’t mix it up with Katsu!
Katsu had been in class and situated near the window. Katsu was excited because they knew that this was a class that they would excel in. It practically was something that their father had trained them for their whole life. Katsu was cold and tried to keep their mind on anything but that. It wasn’t hard when someone move to sit near them especially when they stepped on their foot and began to sign an apology as well as mumble an apology. “It’s OK I’m fine honestly it’s ok.” They said as they reach out to them. “What’s your name?” They asked softly as not to startle the other. “I’m Katsu.” @Tiina thanks
Sherwin nodded, “Sorry for all the questions, I was just curious.” Yava went on about how he can’t cast spells but can do magic. Sherwin didn’t even pretend to understand that distinction but watched the papers neatly sort themselves on his lap. “Hey, that’s still cool.” Yava put an arm around him and told him he just might have to show him his speed. “And what if showing you kills you or worse?” Yava then leaned in close, real close and whispered that he wouldn’t call him slow again. “Thank you…” He said softly.
“And what if showing you kills you or worse?” Yavin traced along Sherwins arm. “So much for being sore.” He mumbled, then jumped back into the real question. “That would be an amazing story if the ‘or worse’ worked out. I really don’t mind speedy baby.” He leaned closer, and told Sherwin he wouldn’t call him slow. “Thank you…” Yavin stared at him for several seconds, thinking of how small this gap really was. Biting his bottom lip, he leaned back. Sherwin would be here all year anyways. He was a little to upset to try anything anyway Yavin thought. “Has someone pushed you too far?” Yavin asked with no regards to personal boundaries. He slipped one arm away from Sherwin, though one still snaked around his shoulder.
Kurt examined the tracks once more as he followed them deeper into the woods. His curiosity already took complete control of his mind and body. He doesn’t even realize that the fifth period has already started. So far, he was going with the idea that this must be a horse from the school stables. However, he was still unsure why it was wandering around out of the stables. Maybe it was someone riding them. Yet, he could not come to a conclusion just yet. So, he just focused on following the trail, a rather odd trail since it didn’t exhibit behavior he expected from a horse. So, this piqued his interest even more. As he got closer, he made sure to quiet his movements and avoid snapping any twigs. Soon enough, he came upon a horse, at least that’s what he thought until he saw the head was the upper body of a human. “Well, I can say I didn’t expect this. Though, it does explain a few things. It looks like they’re young enough to be a student, doubtful they’d be anything else,” Kurt concluded, muttering to himself.
His mind quickly went through some points that would develop into a conversation and not scare them off. “Did you get lost?” Kurt said loud enough for them to hear. “You look like a student. I’m sorry if you’re simply taking some alone time, and I interrupted.” Kurt figured if he offered help, it’d make him seem like less of a threat. He didn’t want to scare the fellow off since he wouldn’t get as much information if he did.
