As attentive and observant Isaiah normally was, he didn’t notice Laurie’s attempt at keeping some personal space. He didn’t hate being touched or anything, Isaiah just wasn’t used to it. He listened while Laurie brushed off the question, taking a sip from his drink before answering. “Why? Did your dad do something horrible or something? Not everyone can always be a saint, people make mistakes. My father, you, me- there’s no exception. That’s what’s great in life.”
Isaiah went back to eating to let what he said sink in. He had made plenty of mistakes in his life. Such as not getting to know his brother better.

“It’s my father you have to worry about.”
Aodghan nodded. It made sense that Death itself would need to be feared more than some scrawny kid that he could easily beat up. “If he wasn’t fit to be a parent, why’d he have a kid?” Aodghan raised an eyebrow, “Was he tricked into having children?” His father had been tricked into having kids. Well, technically as his mom did give Diarmuid a love potion. He would have been loyal if it wasn’t for her.
“He believes people die when it’s their time, and so do I.”
“Funny, I believe that you die once you’ve become a hero. Everyone has that chance, some just don’t take it. That’s what it means to die old. At least that’s what I was told.”

He scowled when she brushed off his country. “Some people have the courtesy of saying where they’re from after being so kindly told by someone else where said person was from- wait, does that even make sense? Whatever, the point is that it’s courteous to share where you’re from.” Tristan didn’t have much hope for an answer seeing as this was the girl who had been oh-so-tentative in sharing her name. “Yeah… brother. He… he sucks. He’s a brat. We don’t talk about him,” he responded coldly.
“Fake?”
Tristan shrugged his shoulders. “Sometimes you gotta crack make a few omelets to crack an egg. Or something. I forgot the saying. Point is that some girl’s are too gullible for their own good and need some bad boy for them to not make mistakes in the future.” It was the best response he could come up with in a moments notice. He really didn’t wanna get slapped. “Fine. I’m Silver, you’re Strawberry.” Tristan scowled, “Unlike some, I don’t hate my name.”

Pin nodded slightly before he started saying, “So- I mean, yes, of course.” They were able to catch himself before once again causing a problem. Pin turned away, blushing, when Rylan brought up girls. “Well… I… I must admit, I never really met any. The few I did meet were… special. Empresses or nobles, they had a lot of jewels and what not in their hair and it was normally done up. I was also never really allowed to talk to them.”
Pin smiled when Rylan responded in French, with much better pronunciation than when he had spoken Vietnamese. “C’était mieu. Je pense que tu as biensoin plus de pratique. J’ai commencé quand j’était… dix, peut-être? Mais ca peuve êtes moins.” It roughly translated to “That was better. I think you need more practice. I started when I was ten, maybe? Might be less.” If anything good had come out of being with Hien, it was the schooling he had been given.

Calista
|| With Olive || in the Gardens ||
“When you don’t insult me, sure,”
Calista didn’t bother looking up, she was too busy trying to remember if she had insulted this girl. “You’d think someone who claims to be so powerful would be less threatened by a “mere mortals” insult.” There was a smirk playing on Calista’s lips.
“Sure, if you like. Other people would more accurately say that we are Fae, similar to Gods and just as powerful, if more material.”
This caught Calista’s attention. Strong words to be comparing yourself to a God, she thought to herself, They don’t tend to be very forgiving. “Funny, my mother’s a God. And I can assure you that she is very material. Even more so than you - seeing as you have barely any evidence of this fact. Except for that sad excuse of a tail you have.”
@Acorn06 - ORP Thanks, that gives me a plan. Calista would totally have remembered this from any stories she read. Also, don’t mind me looking up what on earth a bridle is.
Alicia Liddel

The boy had skillfully turned this conversation away from his own parents - or maybe Alicia had accidentally done this herself. Either way, she blushed when the boy recognized her parents name and mentioned the truthfulness of the story. “Well… even in my realm there’s no real evidence of it being real. There are some suggestions that my mom is just has schizophrenia- sorry, I said too much. She’s just… well, no one really knows. But she named her own kid Alicia… whatever that tells you.” She was nervous as she continued her ramblings. Not really knowing when to stop.

”Never said they were, But I do like my privacy”
Mei’s face fell. They were not making it easy to get to know. “Well, privacy’s a good thing to have. Boundaries are important sometimes. Sometimes it’s good to be less guarded, though.” Mei didn’t press any further on the subject of what Jeryn was drawing.
"Isn’t that where all baby names come from?”
“Well, my grandmother was actually the one that chose my name. Sooooo, depends on who you are I guess.”

Kyle smirked at her look of amazement. He spent a lot of time on it - one of the few things he did put an effort in - so it felt nice to be acknowledged for it. She complimented them and Kyle simply nodded his thank you, his hand was starting to get sore from all the writing.
When he asked how she knew what the teacher was saying, Theo took out a contraption of some sort and Kyle tilted his head. It made sense she’d be good at engineering seeing as she was in the advanced math class. She gestured to start talking so that’s what he did, thinking back to a poem his mother told him every night before bed,
“The girl he loves is midnight, like the blue of the sea cradled be the moonlight.
The girl he loves is verdant, the very green of the hill kissed by the summer delight.
The girl he loves is coral, as pink as the roses that grow in his mother’s garden.
The girl he loves is crimson, red like the autumn leaves that lay abandoned.
The he loves I can never be
Because he’s allergic to violets,
And violets are too much like me.”
He didn’t know who wrote it, merely that his mother seemed to adore it. Looking back after all these years, it kind of foreshadowed his parent’s divorce. He shrugged the thought off, didn’t matter anyways. “Sorry if it’s too sappy,” Kyle wrote on the paper.
@ethereal - Theo ORP: The poem’s by Nikita Gill, if you’re wondering.
AlyaCheshire
|| With Samantha and Headmaster Grimm || at the Front of the School ||
She didn’t mind being left out of the conversation, it gave Alya time to finish her toast which was on the verge of getting cold. She nodded when Headmaster Grimm said hello, she wasn’t one for formalities. Alya was however interested in what he had been doing before meeting them. Then he did something kind of weird which was inviting Samantha into the school.
Alya was still kind of confused at what just happened when Samantha told her that it was considered a warning of danger to not be invited in. “Oh, really? That’s interesting, where are you from?” Alya asked the question with an upbeat voice. “In my world it’s considered dangerous if you don’t eat some form of shrinking or enlargement potion before entering… then again that’s because we don’t really have a set door size and it’s kind of cooky over there.”
Headmaster Grimm went back inside the school and Alya was left with Samantha. “Well now that that’s done, do you know where your classes are? I didn’t see him give you a schedule… or a uniform. Well, you can actually just buy the uniform if you want. But the schedule’s a bit… uh… crucial to not failing your classes.”
