Marc felt his features tense slightly as further thoughts of César quite literally invaded his mind. Well, it was his own fault for bringing up the subject. And, given what he had said, no wonder Bertram was curious. Still, he had to admit that the question of their similarities tended to throw him off: Marc knew very well that most people thought they were different -specifically, that he was the nicer one. He wasn’t, and César had made it quite clear that he knew that. Hence the feud, in Marc’s opinion.

“Well, I’d say he likes to speak his mind,” he calmly explained. “And his mind is very critical.” Neutrality was best. Shrugging with a resigned smile, he went on: “We have our similarities and differences. I think the best way to put it is that we understand each other. As for my father, he’s not the kind of man you’d like.” And then, as if he were talking about the weather: “He kills children. But I get along with him.”

As the conversation went on, Marc noticed that Bertram seemed less comfortable talking about himself than asking questions. It was a sweet trait -knightly, even. Marc had never met someone so polite, and it was quite pleasant. “Sir Leodegrance ? I was curious,” Marc stated with honesty. “I knew he was from Camelot, but I’d never seen the place, it was an opportunity to do that. Still, as I said, he… well, let’s say he nearly catapulted me back to the forest.” Marc smiled gently as Bertram eventually opened up. “Isn’t experience the best way of learning?” he asked, genuinely impressed that someone of Bertram’s age would already have such an interesting passion. “You already have a head start. And what about your mother, then? Was she the one who sent you here?”

@CrazyCaliope | Well, that’s much longer than I thought ! :joy_cat:

Not being aware of how tense Bertram had suddenly made it, he simply stood as he had been and listened to Marc talk about his brother. Then he spoke of his father and Bertram was a little taken aback. His kind eyes narrowed a little in his curiosity. “I do beg your pardon again, this time for my blunt assuption, but if your father kills children then why are you and your brother. Would it be that he only kills those who are not his?”

“You followed him out of curiosity, that would make you an adventurous person then, I suppose. If only you had stumbled upon my cottage when he early catapulted you, then you could have stayed for tea and seen my garden.” His eyes met Marc’s to show him the kindness and that it was a genuine offer. “Yes, experience is best. Although just sometimes, one must read about it to know what you need to experience.” But when Marc asked about his mother, he broke eye contact and focused on the flowerbed in order to concentrate on how he was going to answer. “I do have a head start, yes. For the school was my mother’s wish. She said that this would be a good experience to not only learn new things but connect with like-minded people who are closer to my age. That wa- is what she wants.” He quickly decided to change the tense he used, only 'cause he didn’t want to talk about her death.

This was one of the first mornings in a long time that Eden Poppins not only had the early morning sun streaming in her wondow but also her sister wasn’t making a racket around her bed.
06:30. Eden’s alarm was only able to ring once before she sat bolt upright and switched it off. She covered her mouth with her hand and yawned, then stretching her arms as wide apart as possible. Carefully slipping her legs out from under the blankets, placing her feet on the floor. Once standing, she made her bed before getting dressed into her uniform.

When Eden had used the bathroom to finish getting ready, she picked up a couple of notebooks and pens. Holding them tightly against her chest, she left her room and headed for class.
Reaching the classroom, she took an empty seat near the front, opened a notebook and started jotted some stuff down.

CAMERON CANES - COVE

“What if I’m already addicted, though?!”
Shaking his head, Cameron said; “Unless your susceptible to addiction, it doesn’t work that fast, you don’t need to worry.”
Cameron frowned slightly as she pulled away in surprise. Was there something he was missing? “You ok?” He asked, laughing quietly. Then of course, she returned his squeezing hug with her own, his ribs creaking slightly under the pressure.
“Thank you, Cam.”
Cameron smiled. he could tell that this thanks was quite possibly not just about the warnings, but he wasn’t exactly sure what. “No worries,” He replied in the said tone, grinning.
“Probably not. I don’t want you to get detention or anything.”
Cameron laughed. “Yup. Detention on the first day is not a goal for anyone other than the class bad kid.” Pulling away, Cameron walked over to where he kept his clothes.
I still don’t like this uniform. He thought to himself, grimacing slightly. The white was painstakingly difficult to clean, and stains seemed to be attracted to it. Exhaling slowly, Cameron shrugged and began putting it on. Better this that bloodstained and fish smelling pajamas.

FREYA LOCH - IN A POND

“Aaah, that’s COLD”
Laughing, Freya gave Nyana a toothy grin as she returned the splashing with big, puppy-dog eyes.
“Hey Freya, can you understand me?” Freya nodded, before sneezing. The pretty little flower Nyana had placed on her snout went floating into the breeze. Tilting her head, Freya considered something for a moment, before lifting her tal out of the water and using it to chuck Nyana in.

COLM MCCANN - SCHOOL YARD

Colm took a deep breath as they left the school and entered the yard. Fresh, mostly untainted air was amazing. Brooks led the two of them to a small bench, setting down their stuff on top of it. As Brooks looted through their bag, Colm wandered around in a small circle. He hadn’t gotten much of a chance to look around last night, after all. It was quite beautiful. There was quite a large garden, hopefully with some kind of wildlife in it that Colm could stalk later on. Their attention was pulled back to Brooks as they offered them a small but strong smelling bag, made of a bit of cloth and a cord.
“Colm come here I have something. Its not vinegar but it should at least help some. I mean I’m the only one out here with you and this is a precaution so you don’t eat me.”
Grinning, Colm accepted the little bag. “Don’t worry about me ‘eating’ you. You’re not completely human; so the smell is barely half as strong. Although you should watch yourself around Olive, she doesn’t quite have the same control I do.”
Either way Colm was quite pleased with the gesture. Brooks was beginning to warm up to them after all, it seemed.

AESTHI LOCH - ADVANCED MATHEMATICS

“Bored, Oh My- you’re totally cray. And stupid too. You bring your art book to Lit class. Read a book, moron, and get smarter.”
Aesthi laughed out loud at this.
“Please,” Xe said, laughing. “Seriously though, speak for yourself. I don’t exactly see a book in your hands either.” It slowly dawned on xem that xe was in the wrong class. Sh!t. I have Advanced Maths, not Literature. Keeping xys face calm, Aesthi considered xys options. There was no way xe was letting Quillian know about xys slip up. Xe would have to find some excuse to leave; preferably before the teacher walked in.
“Just between us, I know the truth, you say you want to annoy me but I know you’re just thirsty. Sorry hun, not gonna happen, not interested."
Raising an eyebrow, Aesthi wondered what on earth went through Quillian’s head. “You sure have a wild imagination,” Xe said, chuckling to xemself.
“No one even remotely like me. That’s not a surprise at all, you probs only know, like, five people, if you can count that high. Probs not, as I assume you take your musical instrument to mathematics.”
“I don’t exactly see a teacher in here, do you?” Aesthi said, idly drawing the beginnings of a landscape in xys sketchbook. “That means, class hasn’t started yet, and my time is my own, in case you didn’t know,” Aesthi smiled at Quillian, but there wasn’t much in the way of friendliness in xys eyes. Don’t take too long waiting, you need to go to your own class.

Adv. Lit. Class // With Gayelette

A soft smile appeared on Willow’s lips, listening to the girl in front of her. Nodding at everything she was saying because she really was right. But Willow didn’t want to bother her much with her own thoughts, she always prefered listening to other people and getting to know them better. Instead, she let the girl express herself and simply agree after. “I can’t disagree with that.”

Not adding anything, she kept a smile on until the girl extended her hand out and introduced herself. “Gayellete, of the South,” Willow quietly repeated after her, gently taking her hand to shake, trying to figure out why the name sounded familiar. And she was interested, excited to meet everyone and hear all about the different places they came from. “I’m Willow Colour,” without revealing much, she enthusiastically replied but quickly shifted the focus back on Gayelette. “Of the South? Does your mother happen to be the Good Witch of the South or?”

//in a pond//
I chuckled as she started to sneeze. somehow it looked really cute that this giant creature’s sneeze made the flower drift in the wind.

Then all of a sudden, I felt a push and before I could prepare, I was underwater while screaming. once under, my mouth got filled up with water pretty quickly. I then swam up and spit out all the water. “FREYA” I exclaim. “Why!?” I added while I started to chuckle and then splashed her. I did worry about my uniform getting wet and the water was cold but at the same time, I was already wet and cold, so I might as well just enjoy it.

I nodded. “More than enough, I’m used to short nights, life has too much to offer to waste it on sleep anyway,” I said with a shrug. I then chuckled at her struggling with the word mathematics. “yeah, don’t worry, I know what you’re trying to say, it helps if you say it slower” I reassure her. it was kind of adorable when people struggled like this, not in a mean way, it just was fascinating to see how something I didn’t have to think twice about, was so hard for others.

“Thank you, also, for what it’s worth, you have a very pretty name too, unique or not” I tell her but she was too focused on her phone. “What are you talking about?” I asked confused.

FREYA LOCH - IN A POND

Freya cackled as Nyana resurfaced, screeching.
As she splashed her, Freya dipped her head down until only her eyes were above the water, before blowing a big spout of water at Nyana.
Waterfight!
Figuring it was only fair to fight someone your own size, Freya began switching back. The motions of her huge form shrinking caused quite a few waves in the bond, but in a moment Freya was back to a human form, her uniform and hair completely soaked.
Huh, not as cold as back home, anyways. Chuckling, Freya paddled over to Nyana.
“What do you think?” She asked, laughing.

As Freya changed back, I was pushed to the edge of the pond. “Next time warn me, so I can get to the edge myself” I said dryly as I watched her turn back.
what do you think?
I think for a bit. “I think that I’m going to request a few back up uniforms, because something tells me if I’m friends with you, I’m going to need them” I said dryly but gave her an grin.
“Are you able to change like this on land as well?” I asked. “Because that would be so cool if someone tries to mess with you, you can just change and no one will be able to touch you” I joked. “anyway, we should change because unlike you, I can catch a cold and I think the teachers aren’t going to like us arriving soaking wet” I point out.

Castleteria → Adv. Lit. Class // With Ophelia

Noah smiled softly, a hint of entertainment in it, hearing her say how she was also excited about their class. He grew up around books, in a library with his brother when he needed a little time for relaxing, so he liked people that shared the same love for it. Or at least weren’t opposed to the idea of reading. “You are?” It wasn’t really a question, just an observation that made him like his first friend even more. Really not a bad start to their first day.

“Of course,” politely replying after she thanked him, he let go of her hand, immediately reaching for their trays to leave them on the conveyor belt just to make the staff’s job easier. It was also something he learned when he was younger - to clean after himself. He also knew much how that would mean to the staff, after all he was helping his mother around Belle’s castle. “Let’s go,” he quietly added, letting her walk past him and lead the way as he quickly walked over to the end of the counter to leave the trays. “Hey…” catching up to her, he curiously started, keeping a smile on. “What did you pick for your classes?”

FREYA LOCH - POND

“Next time warn me, so I can get to the edge myself”
Chuckling, Freya nodded. “Alright, I’ll do my best to remember.” Swimming to the edge, Freya placed her feet on the bottom of the pond. Huh. Must have lost my shoes somewhere.
“I think that I’m going to request a few back up uniforms, because something tells me if I’m friends with you, I’m going to need them”
Freya laughed. “Almost definitely. I have a bunch of spares back in the dorm, thankfully.” She’d have to remember to take off as many layers as she could before going pond dipping again.
“Are you able to change like this on land as well?” Nyana asked her. “Because that would be so cool if someone tries to mess with you, you can just change and no one will be able to touch you”
“Yup,” Freya replied, floating on her back. “I might break a few things in the process, but it’d definitely come in handy. In fact, if I get too freaked out or scared I can switch forms accidently. It doesn’t happen often, thank god.” The few times it had, Freya had been forced to lay low for months while monster hunts ensued.
“anyway, we should change because unlike you, I can catch a cold and I think the teachers aren’t going to like us arriving soaking wet”
Oh yea. School is a thing.
Nodding, Freya pulled herself up over the edge of the pond, before reaching out to give Nyana a hand. Her uniform wasn’t too bad, if soaked through, although her tights would need replacing after standing on the pond floor. They were stained with mud up to around her shins.

We’re lucky.

“He says that it’s out of the kindness of his heart,” Marc answered, pensive, his gaze sliding from Bertram to the nearby woods. “That he loves us. I’m happy believing that, but César would tell you that it’s just because he needs a legacy. You’d be right either way.”

Regaining his usual serene mask, Marc turned back to Bertram, and his shoulders dropped in understanding. The time he spent looking out for ways to put his gift to use made him know longing when he saw it. And if Bertram’s politeness and easy attention had covered it well so far, the way he broke eye contact at the mention of his mother was enough for him to realise that he’d been separated from her, in one way or another. These thoughts were only confirmed when the other student spoke.

“Well,” Marc said, leaving the fence to place a gentle hand on Bertram’s shoulder. “She seems like a great mother -who had an equally great son. Who was she?” Smiling, Marc then slid his hand to his suitcase, picking up the guidebook that he’d placed on it. “And let’s make up for that missed tea in Camelot. After all, you’ve shown me part of the garden already,” he gestured towards the Golden Columbine. “May I treat you to breakfast?”

:banjo: Math Class with Amelia Bjorgman :banjo:

Remember when you were a child, sitting on the floor as you listened to your grandmother’s stories? That’s exactly how Kohana is right now, except that she is in a classroom and is listening to Amelia. Aside from music, stories were Kohana’s all-time favorites. As much as she loved to tell them, she also loved to listen to them. Her favorite storyteller being her father, she grew up with a mind full of different worlds and more. You can say her mind is a library of wonders.

And that library is being opened for a new story about a kingdom called “Arendelle.” The stories Kohana heard were mostly stories she didn’t knew were true or false; perhaps the only stories she could believe were true were the quite tragic love story of her grandparents and the heroic story of her father. They were not only known by her, but by her whole village. But this one she is hearing about right now, she was sure this was true. Like—she’s literally in a school studying together with diverse creatures, how could she be dubious towards a story about a kingdom set in another world?

A world where most people lived in kingdoms, where Amelia’s aunt was the queen with her mother next in line for the throne, where it’s often cold, but can be warm too. Those bits of details alone made Kohana’s mind steal her attention, sketching a what it seemed to be her perception of this kingdom called Arendelle. Elegant and white… maybe blue, with ice? Amelia did say it was cold… wait, why was it because of her aunt? Ah, I wonder how it really looks like…

“What’s your father like?” Kohana snapped back into reality as she heard Amelia’s question. “Hai?” she muttered as if she was unaware of what was happening. Thankfully, she wasn’t that immersed into the fantasy yet, or else she would’ve needed a little push to notice that the attention was on her now. Her smile grew wide as she realized this was a chance to tell a story. When even was the last time she told one? Perhaps to herself last night. “Ah, my father Kubo. He’s the best father. Some say I’m his copy, which I do think is true. Kameyo Ba-san even says I was just like when he was young. He always tells me stories. My favorite is the adventure he went to as a child.” Kohana stops with a smile as she remembered her father. It was a melancholic one, that of a yearning daughter. But that moment was quickly interrupted by a detail she could not possibly bring to forget: “Oh, and he always tells those stories while playing a shamisen. I have that shamisen now, actually, but I left it in my room.” She frowned a little at the thought of missing that chance. She could tell the story right now, but it was always better with the shamisen.

And no matter what, she must tell her father’s story only with the presence of her shamisen.

Remembering the one question she had for Amelia, she tilted her head in curiosity. “Ah, wait. You mentioned your kingdom is cold because of you aunt, why is that?” she asked, patiently waiting for an answer.

Coco turned back to face him she didn’t even understand why he acting all off by the word decent. “Decent people can be the most fun. They always to the right thing. Whereas we don’t have to play by those rules, or any rules, making them easier to trap and kill.” She had to think for a moment he wasn’t wrong about them being fun.”Really it’s beyond fun to trap and kill decent people.” She couldn’t help but roll her eyes slightly at the thought. Before she could say more she noticed a change in his voice. “You’re calling my actions decent? I’m aware you said we but you said we were decent-” She didn’t know how she was feeling.”Well…yeah decent…I mean the things we do are decent to me not that we’re actually decent people we killed three people yesterday.” She crossed her arms in defense. “What? Go somewhere to some fun with someone you just called decent ?” She couldn’t help it she wanted to get outta that hot room and step outside and he was making a fuss about the word decent? She blinked a few times,”Ervic you’re taking this way outta context. All I’m saying is our actions are decent and you’re a decent person I like to be around you want me to just say I hate spending time with you? That I can’t stand your presence? This is the longest conversation I ever had with someone without killing them or planning on it.” She didn’t want to deal with whatever his problem was with the word decent. The fact that she didn’t want to kill him already made her uncomfortable and confused. So isn’t it the best to just assume and say how he’s a decent person? She walked closer to him.”Listen I can’t comprehend what to even say like I said people like being around decent people and I don’t know…I don’t wanna kill you so I guess that would mean I’m decent with you?”

Castleteria

Perhaps a home kilometers away from Once Upon a High was a bit of a stretch, but in Yu’s defense, it was the only nearest comfortable place he could own without spending any nonexistent money of his for a little cabin. A cave suffices the best, anyway—it has a doorway, a roof to shield him from the rain, and a floor he could sleep on every time and start a fire every time. Very handy, indeed. He couldn’t ask for anything more. And about the distance… eh, he can teleport. Honestly, it was a blessing perk that comes with being a grim reaper.

And apparently, requiring to be away from living people is also a “perk” that comes with being grim reaper. Truth be told, he doesn’t really even need to teleport every single day if it wasn’t for his other ability. And truth be told again, he probably won’t even be in this school either. And the fact that he’s in a school means he must be constantly in the presence of other people. Why did his father even think this was the best idea? When his goal is to literally not touch people, why is he sent to a school where there are lots of them?

Long sleeves, check. Covered ankles, check. Fancy black gloves, check. The only thing left for him to wear was a balaclava, and you’ll mistake him for a robber. Can you blame him though? It’s true he has only ever experienced taking away souls through a touch of his palm, but he couldn’t be settled by that. What if it’s not just his hands, but his whole body as well? He had already thought of it over and over again, and you know what they say—it’s better safe than sorry.

The first place he turned to when he got to the school was, of course, where the food was. Food in the castleteria was what he looked forward to the most, as it brought new discoveries to his tongue. In his long years down there, the only food he could taste was the fruit of the tree beside his wooden bench and nothing more. Contrary to what his father used to tell him, the outside world was beautiful after all, and he did like it. Though it was still weird about how people could bring themselves to eat these poor little chickens and pigs. He always remembered how sad it was to guide a mindless chicken or pig to the gate of afterlife, never knowing what the cause of their death were. And now, he knew. Humans eat them.

He resented this part of humanity, and he refused to eat those. And so, the only things that were constantly on his plate were pancakes, some fruits he didn’t knew existed, and good old water. He waited for the server to get his hands off his plate, quickly snatching it away when he did. There were a lot of people in this place alone, so it was difficult for him to find a safe spot. He could teleport to a more peaceful place, but that didn’t cross his mind. Thankfully, he finally found it.

Savoring the beautiful flavors of the plate in front of him, the constant need of motioning away from people was forgotten. At least, this was true until he felt a presence beside him. Slowly turning to see who this was, his brows turned into a deep furrow as his instincts let him slide to the edge of the table, almost falling along with his plate. He stopped eating and spent time to scan this person instead. “You might want to move away.” he said, which was really unwelcoming, but at least it could possibly save them.

I sighed in a chuckle. “Next time you should warn people before you accept their friendship” I joked. She then talked about how she can change. “If it does happen, what could I do to help you change back or something?” I asked. “Just in case it does happen” I added. It would be better to know these things about each other so I could help her out when needed.
She then swam to the edge and pulled herself up and then held out her hand. I took it but pulled her back in. “That was payback,” I tell her with a grin before climbing out myself. I did notice she no longer had her shoes on so I waited for her to get out again and then grouched down, offering her a piggyback ride. “The gravle path has some sharp stones, it’s better if you don’t hurt yourself” I offered.

“…You’re in high school too… what do you want to do after high school?”
That was a good question actually, but not one he was going to answer. Kieran’s personal life was never anyone’s business but his own, he was has never been one to share details about his life, being the one to know all about others and have nobody know things about him, that, in a way, was power. Dominance, keeping himself in an advantage point over other people, because if there was one think Kieran was not, that was weak. He was not weak.
All sorts of things. I have a life to live, too short to miss opportunities” he responded with a smirk ”And what about you?” he asked with a curiously raised brow ”What’s in store for you?”

AMELIA BJORGMAN - MATHEMATICS

Kohana seemed to zone out for a moment, causing Amelia to tilt her head, hoping that nothing was awry. She didn’t want to have to witness anything too emotional this early in the morning - mornings were for fun and playing, not sadness.
Soon though, Kohana came back to herself to answer Amelia’s query?
“Ah, my father Kubo. He’s the best father. Some say I’m his copy, which I do think is true. Kameyo Ba-san even says I was just like when he was young. He always tells me stories. My favorite is the adventure he went to as a child.”
Amelia nodded slowly, processing her words. “Adventure? That sounds like a fun story,” She said eagerly. Stories were awesome, especially ones about adventure. She wondered what this man must be like. Was he quick spoken like Kohana?
“Oh, and he always tells those stories while playing a shamisen. I have that shamisen now, actually, but I left it in my room.”
Amelia’s face lit up in interest and excitement. “You have to show me sometime,” She said excitedly, her eyes shining. Amelia had never heard of a shamisen before, and was excited to be able to listen to one.
“Ah, wait. You mentioned your kingdom is cold because of you aunt, why is that?”
Smiling, Amelia prepared herself to tell her own story. It wasn’t her fathers, it was still pretty good though.
“Ok, so my mother and my aunt were the two girls of the family, with my aunt being the oldest.” She began. "My grandparents died when they were teenagers, but before they died they helped my aunt keep her secret. Her secret was that she had been cursed when she was a child with ice powers. Everything she touched became icy if she didn’t control it. It took a long time for her to learn how to, and she nearly killed my mother in the process. My mother came to see her after she had run away, scared she’d freeze everything and get herself hunted down, and she got angry and froze my mum’s heart. It’s a long story but my mum survived in the end, and my aunt moved back home. Her magic makes the kingdom really cold in winter, but she’s managed to control it so we have nice summers.

ONYX OF FIONNUELLA - CASTLETERIA

The castleteria had swiftly filled up with people and smells, causing Onyx to be on high alert. Their eyes constantly scanned the room, searching for any sign of danger. The smells made their mouth water and their stomach grumble angrily, but Onyx refused to risk stealing just yet. They needed to scope out the situation first. Were these people lax with their money? Or were they clutching their purses tight.
As a guy sat down next to them, seemingly unaware of their presence at first, Onyx tensed up. Was this the beginning of an attack? The guy had no visible weapons, but he was covered up from head to toe to it was impossible to tell really. There were no knives in his sleeves, certainly. They drooped only slightly, not enough to explain even the lightest blade’s weight. It didn’t take long for this guy to take note of them, and if anything, he seemed scared of Onyx.
“You might want to move away.” He said, after moving himself away as far as possible. To be honest, this statement only confused Onyx further. Was he feigning fear so as to stab them in the back as they left? Or was he truly worried about them. this seemed unlikely however, and only crossed Onyx’s mind for the briefest of moments.
Steadying their breath, Onyx shook their head. “I’m good,” they replied, their voice strong despite panic reigning everywhere else in their body. H-ll, Onyx had been forced to squeeze their hands between their knees to stop them from shaking. Why did I have to come to this school. Surely I could’ve found some charity hostel that would’ve worked just as well. They were here now however, and it made sense for them to stay.

FREYA LOCH - BESIDE LE POND

“Next time you should warn people before you accept their friendship”
Freya shrugged. “Everyone I’ve been friends with before already knew.” She said, with a neutral expression. “Never had a Land friend before,” Freya added with a small grin.
She prepared to pull Nyana up as she took her hand, but was met with a surprising second soaking. Spluttering as her lungs tried to figure out what they were supposed to be breathing, Freya resurfaced half laughing and half coughing.
Nyana had already pulled herself out, the little devil. Chuckling to herself, Freya pulled herself up for the second time, and the pair eventually stood, dripping, on the bank of the pond.
“The gravel path has some sharp stones, it’s better if you don’t hurt yourself
Freya smiled, grateful for the offer. “As much as I’m tempted, my skin is quite thick, even in this form,” She said, grinning. “Gravel and rocks are the least I can go barefoot over.”
Picking up her ear defenders from the rock where they had been left - mercifully dry still - Freya glanced behind her as she began trekking back to the school. “Come on!” She called, laughing.

Although she was happy to meet a person she liked straightaway on her first day, Aoife couldn’t help but notice the uneasiness grow bigger inside her. She realised soon, why this feeling started to built up and in it’s core she got rid of it by saying. [“Let’s not talk of family anymore.”] It was family she tried to avoid but most of her talk now was either hers or somebody elses family and it wasn’t easy trying not to think of your own family, when you’re deep in conversation about them. However, just saying that withouth a suggestion of a topic to discuss will either bring them back to talk about family, or will create an awkward silence, and to avoid them both she remembered the topic most often discussed amongst teenagers … school “[I’m interested … Before going to this high school, did you go to a primary school?]” She left it at that. She had a set of questions formed in her mind for either of the two answers, her only hope is that Meabh doesn’t answer with something unexpected because she cannot be prepared for that and the conversation might turn awkward.

Lav nodded and gave her a quick smile that wasn’t meant to show hapiness but that the answer she gave him was satisfactory. “It’s nice to hear I’ll have such a nice teacher for something I’ve been doing a long time.” Now that Lav entered this world which was usually forbidden to him, he didn’t know if reading books would keep making him content or at least as content as he was until now … But now that he’s so sudennly introduced to so many people, so many new things to do … How could he sit there and tell this girl that reading is his favorite thing to do if in time that statement might change and change drastically? So he didn’t … He didn’t mention it because when he had limited resources and all he could do was read and a few other things (but boring things) he loved it, but now that he’s open to try anything, he cannot possibly know if it’ll keep. “Let’s just hope I didn’t make a mistake in picking advanced literature over the normal literature classes. I don’t mean about the professor, but about … the subject itself.”
