COLM MCCANN - GARDEN
“Well either way take it so you act more normal Colm and you can wander or do what you need. You didn’t eat breakfast and are probably hungry Ill be here dude you go do you.”
Colm grinned. “Okay, I won’t take long,” He assured them, chuckling. They looked ready to play some music, and judging from what Colm had seen of Brooks’ personality so far, they were waiting for him to leave first.
“Do whatever you need just if you eat me know I will give you indigestion and make you poop a lot.”
Colm could do nothing but laugh at this, and was pleased to see Brooks’ own sharp exterior crack a little into a small smile.
“Noted,” Colm said, chuckling. He began to walk away, and as soon as he reached the grass they began shifting. Colm’s bones creaked and twisted until they were in the form of a rabbit. Small, innocent looking - no animal would dream that a little rabbit was about to latch onto them and devour them.
Hopping through the underbrush, Colm eventually heard, on the edge of sound, the faint crunching of a deer’s hooves on grass. They got closer, happy to see that the stag was alone. There was no use terrorizing a herd when he only wanted to eat one. Nuzzling against the stag’s leg, Colm switched his skin.
Now permanently stuck to the deer’s leg, Colm shifted again, into a wolf. The stag almost had a heart attack then and there, and it didn’t live for much longer.
Wiping blood off of his mouth, Colm un-switched his skin, allowing the stag’s leg to fall away. His hunger was satiated, so now, in human form, they began to walk back to where they had left Brooks.

CAMERON CANES - COVE
“I guess! I was just thinking… we should probably warn Kato about this, right? He might already have an addiction!”
Cameron paused, considering for a moment. “Yea, uhm, he probably knows? If you smoke long enough you develop quite a nasty cough, and it’s pretty obvious after that point. Plus, they tell you on the packets, so if you buy some you aren’t left in the dark about the effects.”
Cameron didn’t want to say outright that Kato was almost definitely addicted, and wouldn’t take too kindly about their ‘help’, but he felt that it might upset Bay.
“If you want to tell him, feel free,” He added light heartedly, “I don’t think he would take to kindly if I just walked up to him and told him he was killing his lungs.”
Cameron quickly changed, hopping a bit as his toes caught on the trousers. Eventually he was dressed, if a bit stiff - a traditional first day of school feel, of course.
Sniffing, Cameron glanced over at the oven. “I think our fish is almost ready,” He said, smiling. The smell was good enough to make even a full mouth water.

FREYA LOCH - GARDEN
“Well, if I’m the first…warn the future ones”
Grinning, Freya nodded. As she took the first few steps onto the gravel, Frey devoted some energy into shifting the skin around her feet, covering them in scales so that the stones wouldn’t hurt her.
“Shall we go back then, I’m starting to get cold”
“Yea, come on,” Freya looked at her, slightly concerned as she began shaking. When you spend your whole life in a country where the maximum average temperature is 18 degrees Celsius (64 Fahrenheit), and is usually no more that 10 degrees (50), the cold just doesn’t affect you as much. It was clearly not the case for those in warmer countries, anyhow.
They began walking briskly back towards the school.
“I think I have to thank you by the way, I’ve never had the opportunity to do this, so it feels like a huge relief to let go of those perfect princess expectations one time.”
“Happy to help,” Freya replied, grinning. “It’s good to let go of expectations every once in a while, otherwise you burn out.”
