“Sorry. That just happens sometimes.”
“Why, why does it happen sometimes?”, Peckerhead asked, her voice still quivering.
“Ireland is an island near Great Britain. I haven’t been there. I haven’t even been out of Ireland until now.”
Peckerhead shook her head, not sure where either Ireland or Great Britain. “I still haven’t heard of them. Are they near Kansas, I know that’s in a place called America, is it near there?”, she asked hopefully with a trace of fear still in her voice. “What does Ireland have that it’s known for. Oz has a yellow brick road going all around it, does it have anything like that?”

The day prior had gone quite well for Kamuzu actually, which made the idea of the first day of classes a little easier. He hadn’t met his roommate yet, so that was a point of concern to not know what he would be like, but even that morning when he had gotten up, his roommate was nowhere to be seen. So, after eating something small in his dorm for breakfast, he straightened the white jacket of his uniform with a deep breath and stepped out of the dorm to walk to his first class, advanced mathematics. When he arrived in the classroom, he walked to the first available seat he came across. He looked to the dark haired girl in the next seat over. “Is this seat free still?” Kamuzu asked, wanting to make sure she wasn’t expecting someone specific to sit beside her, and that nobody else had already come to claim the spot before temporarily leaving to go to the bathroom or something.

“No, be caref-”
And there she found herself, standing in the middle of a classroom in front of an actual fennec fox, what- ”Oh shi-“ she muttered with a gasp, looking at the fox who had been a human just a few moments ago ”Did I do that- I- oh god” she said making a face before walking away to the bathroom as she was headed before, also avoiding that very weird and unusual situation.

Hilda giggled at Eun’s declaration, saying they might end up bringing her down with them. Eun grinned, “We’ll see. I’m pretty strong.” She jokingly flexed her arm while saying this. She nodded when Hilda thanked her for returning their tray. “No problem,” Eun smiled as she caught up. She was surprised to see Hilda leaving the Castleteria-but then remembered it was unlikely they kept the geese inside the actual castleteria. Since they did label all of their menu items as “fresh”, though, they probably collected them from a nearby farm or market. “Should we check the closest farm to the school?” She asked. If they went, they would probably miss first period-or at least be late. “Actually…we can always go later if you want. Or I can go by myself!” She said, feeling a bit embarrassed. “I wouldn’t want you to miss class or anything.” She added, trying not to look too disappointed.

”Man you can’t warn a girl next time?”
Taking slow, deep breaths, the light cloudiness was starting to fade ever so slightly from Ervic’s head. Though still not enough for him to respond to her remark.
*”Ervic what’s going on? You’re not dying, right?” She placed her hand out to him. *“Can I help you out in any way?”
“I did…”, he told her, gasping with each word. “…say …let’s go.” Ervic tried to smile smugly. “Not… dying, just… took a lot… of my… power.” He took a sharp intake of breath then exhaled. “I’m usually used… to transporting… only… Pretty and I.”

After Freya went to her own room, I started changing. I decided to take a quick shower and wash my hair which now smelled like dirty pond water.
The shower only lasted a few minutes but it kept me warm and clean. Luckily I would have had an extra uniform otherwise I would have had to steal my roommate’s and since I don’t know her that well yet, that seemed a bit strange to me.
After I finished Freya wasn’t there yet so I decided to wait by sitting by the window and started humming to myself. I leaned my head against the glass while looking out so that I was completely in thought.
It was only when I heard the sound of a knock that I was back in reality. “Oh hey Freya, come in!” I greet her and open my arms. “Welcome to my humble room, which probably looks exactly like yours” I joke.

“You’re getting boring.” Dark said, emotionless black eyes boring into Dae’s. Dae felt another shiver travel down his spine-he felt as if Dark could read his mind, that he knew every emotion Dae was feeling. “I feel the same way-this is getting really old,” He muttered back, though mostly to himself. Dark watched as he swung back and forth lightly, in almost a pitiful way. “You won’t get loose that fast,” he warned. Dae almost rolled his eyes-watch me. The swinging was getting more noticeable, though luckily for Dae, dark didn’t seem to notice or care.
As soon as he fell to the ground with an umph, he looked up. Dark had released him, and was stumbling around. Dae was wearing shoes with a rather thick, hard platform… so hopefully the kick had been enough. Dark started towards him-fury in his eyes. Scrambling to his feet, he backed away, ready to continue the fight.“You are a dead man walking.” However, he missed a step and fell as he said this, making him a lot less intimidating to Dae. “Not so tough now, are you?” He stepped a bit closer as Dark fell to the ground, keeping his distance in case he was pretending.
His eyes opened again-blue pools surrounded by white. Dae squinted-did this mean he was “normal” again? “W-what happened? W…What have I done?!” Still keeping his distance, Dae looked down at him. “D-mn. Remind me not to p-ss you off again.” He said, taking out his phone from his pant pocket and staring at his scar. D-mnit. It looked terrible-the only thing anyone would be able to focus on. “Basically, you went insane and tried to kill me?!” He was still having a hard time believing it himself.

"Answers to what?”, Kieran asked curiously. "And that’s… sweet, I suppose. It’s good to have things to aspire to. Gives you goals to beat, I’ll tell you that, it’s pretty satisfying to get what you want”
“Anything, everything,” Danko answered, a little subconsciously, as he turned to face forward again and stare at the table. “I want to have a wide range of knowledge to feed back to people when they need it. I guess you could compare it to being an excyclopedia.” He shrugged. “I don’t know, I’m better at retaining information than learning something and analysing it to create or develop something new.”

even though I expected it, the realization that I had once again lost control was a hard blow. I was dizzy for some reason and when I got up I fell straight back down sitting on the floor. I look at Dae with a sigh. “Sorry … I …” I stopped for a new one. “I can’t control the magic in my body so I risk turning it into ‘that’,” I explain.
I see him looking at his cut and despite the dizziness, this time I get up and slowly make my way to him. I keep my hands in front of me to keep him from thinking I’m still out of control. Then, from still a fair distance, I check the cut. “Don’t worry, it won’t be a scar” I reassure him.
then I look at the ground. “Sorry” I say softly to him. “My body … I … am entirely made out of pure negative magical energy. In one sense, I am just a vessel for the energy that happens to have a conscience. But when I lose control, that negative energy has the freedom to do whatever it wants and there’s a risk of hurting people, or worse … death” I explain. He probably doesn’t care about what excuse I have for what I did, but I felt that he at least had the right to know why it happened, even if that doesn’t make it right.
“I have learned to control it to a large extent, but when I am triggered and thus feel negative emotions myself, I can sometimes lose control. The greater the negative emotion, the faster I lose control.” I then tell him but made the distance between us bigger again.
“I came here hoping to learn how to have more control over it during the magic classes. I never want to take another life, that’s why I tried to warn you,” I explain. “And though it may not feel that way to you, I’m glad I ended up only giving you one cut, because if my magic wanted to, it could’ve done a lot worse” I added.
@ethereal ahw thanks, I’m actually surprised how good it goes because it’s basically everything I am.
(guess even sweet people have an inner demon that needs to be let out

“Anything, everything,” Danko answered. There was a lot of differences between the two, but this thing the boy had just claimed was something Kieran could actually relate to quite a lot. The Will and need to know things. He wouldn’t necessarily say he wanted to be a human encyclopaedia, but he did like the idea of knowing a lot. After all, knowledge is power, and only the strong survive.
“I don’t know, I’m better at information than learning something and analysing it to create or develop something new.”
”Interesting” he said as the boy finished explaining ”I like that” he added, which in fact was true, he did like that ”I guess… in a way I can relate” he admitted, even though he rarely ever let himself actually tell people what he was thinking, feeling or planning. But honestly he haven’t really found many people he could relate to, they were mostly just fcuking idiots, and the thing is, he had a feeling this one wasn’t one of them. ”Not necessarily an encyclopaedia, but knowing things is always satisfying” he added. especially if others don’t

Eden was writing down study material, she had revised this past summer, in order to be prepared for this year. When a boy with a symmetrical face and floppy brown hair approached her, asking, “Is this seat free still?”
She put her pen down and laced her fingers together on her lap, looked up at him and pursed her lips. “No, no one had come over to claim this seat. You’re more than welcome to sit here,” Eden told him. She appreciated being given the courtesy of being asked. “My name is Eden Poppins. May I ask of your name?”

Aodghan MacCool Dieter, Room 162
He nodded, it would make sense. Death did really have one job, after all, to kill people. Aodghan’s eyes widened when Dieter offered to let him meet his father. He was stunned, he couldn’t even say anything. His mouth was left hanging open. He couldn’t… but he wanted… what if… no, that would be selfish. He stood there, his mind running wild. He felt his phone buzz and he checked it, it was some notification that he didn’t really care about. What he cared about was the time. “Oh sh!t, I have class!” He ran into his room and changed into the proper suit, not answering Dieter’s question.
“I… I gotta go, you should too,” he addressed Dieter when he exited his room. “I’ll… I’ll think about your offer, but that’s not… don’t let impulse control your actions.” He left his dorm with that, grabbing his books beforehand, and went to class. He was still a little stunned by Dieter’s offer. Aodghan didn’t really know how to feel about it.
@Ouijaloveletters - Dieter, kind of.
ORP: Sorry for ending it there, but I wanted to make sure they actually ended up getting to class.

She watched as her boyfriend considered this, waiting to hear his answer. “Yea, uhm, he probably knows?” Her eyes widened at this and she looked completely caught off guard. “If you smoke long enough, you develop quite a nasty cough, and it’s pretty obvious after that point. Plus, they tell you on the packets, so if you buy some you aren’t left in the dark about the effects.” Bay frowned, remembering the fruity packets Kato had been using. She didn’t remember seeing any labels on them, but she hadn’t been paying much attention to how they looked-more how they would taste smoked. “If he knows, why would he still do it?!” She wailed-even though she figured it was because he was badly addicted. “A nasty cough? Maybe he can’t read, though?”
“if you want to tell him, feel free,” His tone was light-hearted. “I don’t think he would take too kindly if I just walked up to him and told him he was killing his lungs.” Her eyes lit up and she clapped her hands. Then, as if she hadn’t heard him right, she said, “That’s a great idea! You should tell him!” She elbowed him playfully, “Y’know, man-to-man! Maybe not the word ‘killing’, though?” She cringed-“I could see him ‘not taking too kindly to that’.” She tilted her head-“You’re a lot smarter than me anyways, I don’t know if I could remember all of that!”
She heard the rustling of fabric as she continued to study the lines, veins, and prune marks on her hands. “I think our fish is almost ready.” She looked over to him, and then to where he was looking-the oven. “OH MY GOSH!!!” She jumped from her seat, so excited she couldn’t contain herself. “It smells amazing…” She said, half sighing, half talking. She didn’t try to take it out of the oven, as she would likely burn herself trying.
