FREYA LOCH - NYANA AND PARVATI’S DORM ROOM
"We have to go to the forest around sunrise or sunset. When I was little my father sometimes took me on a horse ride. It was sometimes early or late and it had both beautiful. In the morning there was often dew and damp which gave a mysterious atmosphere as deer and foxes ran around. And in the evening the setting sun made the whole forest green and gold colored. There was this path going down the mountain, and it was almost a tunnel of trees and it had something magical to me "
Freya pictured it in her head, her eyes widening at what it must have felt like to be in that moment. “That sounds amazing,” She said softly, smiling happily. “I don’t know how to ride a horse, but I’m ure we could walk it or something like that.” Freya had seen horses before. While not nearly as big as she was in her true form, they were quite intimidating to her human one. Those teeth… Nope.
Freya tensed as she heard someone else in the dorm. I thought Nyana’s roommate wasn’t here? The newcomer soon stepped cautiously into the main room. Studying her, Freya quickly picked up on a certain awkwardness to her step. Her eyes weren’t focussing on anything either… Is she blind? Not wanting to say anything in case it was the wrong thing, Freya remained silent. Let them approach you, remember?
“That forest really does sound beautiful. Oh, I hope I’m not disturbing you two, sorry for interrupting. One of you must be my roommate I’m guessing?”
Freya glanced at Nyana. So this was Parvati. Drawing her legs up underneath her, Freya considered what she should say. Hello? That should work, I guess. I have to play safe, either way. It’d probably be best to let Nyana speak first, seeing as Parvati asked about her roommate, not the visitor.
@Meekepeek - Nyana
@Littlefeets - Parvati
AESTHI LOCH - LITERATURE
Aesthi scanned the room. Was there any real way for xem to just leave? Without rousing Quillian’s suspicion, or at the very least without making a complete fool of xemself. A phone would be really handy about now. Aesthi grimaced. Xe had a cheap thing in xys back pocket, one of those keypad flip-phones, not the fancy touch-screen thing that Quillian had. It’s not like xe could’ve afforded anything else. Aesthi had been forced to loan money off a friend even for this. I mean, I could always bluff my way through. Don’t show a hint of embarrassment and then he can’t win. But who to pretend is calling xem? Ok not calling, Quillian will know straight away if he can’t hear the buzz. A text would be easier. From Freya, yes. Come on Aesthi, pretend you love your sister.
Xe was snapped back to reality as Quillian literally facepalmed himself. Jesus he looks like some fool doing that.
“Boomer much?! Who uses a book any more?”
“Normal people,” Aesthi muttered under xys breath, chuckling to xemself.
“Technology’s where it’s at now.”
“Well, Quillian, surprising though it may be for you, scrolling through social media just doesn’t really count as reading. Hate to break it to you,” Aesthi sucked in a breath, pretending to be regretful to share this piece of news. Inside xe was laughing, of course. Quillian’s next choice of words paused that, inevitably. Aesthi paused, frowning as xe tried to figure him out.
“Yaas, isn’t it though?! Don’t be a savage queen, you’re just jelly that I’m Dank as f^ck!”
Tilting xys head, Aesthi decided to just not answer. There was no way to twist that around against Quillian without commenting on his word choice, so there was no point trying.
“I plan to,” Aesthi replied to Quillian’s “You do you.”
Turning back to xys sketchbook, Aesthi began shading the petals of a flower absent-mindedly as xe thought. The best way to do this would be to just pull the phone out of xys pocket and get it over with. Exhaling slowly, Aesthi pulled the flip-phone out of xys back pocket, flipping it open and keying in the password. Xe pretended to read something quickly, before flicking the phone closed and tucking it safely back in xys pocket. The phone had opened up to xys chat with a friend from home, thankfully, so even if Quillian had glanced over, all he’d be able to see was a messenger screen with messages, nothing out of place.
“Seems like dear old Freya wants to chat,” Aesthi said, tucking xys notebook away. “I will see you later, Quillian. Adios, or whatever.” Aesthi walked out of the room, refusing to look back and check whether it had worked. Either it did or it didn’t.
Walking down the corridors, Aesthi watched carefully until xe came to what was definitely the advanced math’s class this time. Walking in, xe found a seat near the back and sat in it, glad that xe had escaped the embarrassment waiting to happen.
@CrazyCaliope - Quillian, sorta.
