MEABH AND NEISHA SÍDHE
“Hey. I really like the vines on your uniform. How’d you do it?”
Neisha paused at the sound of a human’s voice behind them, grabbing Meabh’s arm as she did so. Meabh was the one with the vines after all, not to mention the rest of her… accessories. Neisha’s sibling gave her a blank, uncomprehending but also confused look, before their eyes darted over to the intruder, and understanding flashed.
“They want to know about your dress. All the flowers and stuff, as well as how you managed to get them to grow there.” Neisha translated to Irish, adding a shrug to the end. Poor human. Their curiosity might be the end of them one of these days. Couldn’t they see that the pair was busy?
“Human?” Meabh was quite unperturbed by the kid’s curiosity themselves, although a hint of annoyance flashed through their features at the delay. As Neisha nodded to them, Meabh considered for a moment. They could always lie, after all, but then again it would be easier to escape this kid if they knew that Meabh told the truth.
“Tell them that I’m a weird f-cking fairy and I like nature.” Meabh replied to Neisha, with a small eyeroll to accentuate the statement. Neisha could do with the statement as she wished.
Meabh’s sister nodded, an amused grin flashing over her features at Meabh’s statement. Of course, Neisha was a stickler for teh truth, so unlike what Meabh expected of her: to turn the rude statement into something socially acceptable, Neisha simply stated:
(In english now) “My sibling told me to tell you that they’re a weird f-cking fairy and they like nature.” Neisha suppressed a guffaw of laughter as she finished speaking, before adding her own opinion to the end. “In short, we’re banshee’s with a bit of control over nature, so we can do things like that.”
It would always be useful to coat Meabh in the less pleasant light, after all. Meabh was direct and maybe a tad morally grey, but had a strong sense of justice at the same time. Neisha, however, knew what she wanted and exactly how she planned to get it. These interactions could prove to be very useful, in the end.
“My name’s Neisha, and this is Meabh.” Neisha gestured to her sibling, content in making basic introductions. Meabh gave her a funny look, wondering why this interaction was taking so long, but not speaking until Neisha had finished. “How about you?”
“What’s taking so long?” Meabh queried, with one eyebrow raised at her sister, but never quite taking her eyes off this strange new human.
*“Don’t worry. I have it handled.” Neisha replied simply, not even looking at Meabh as she did so. All she did was feign a sweet smile at the newcomer, waiting for their response

The blonde turned to vine girl, saying something in a different language, the vine girl speaking back. When blonde translated, Hilda laughed. “That’s a mood. I’m not a fairy, but I do have this.” They said, wrapping their tail around their legs. They nodded when blonde said they were Banshees. “I’m a Huldra. That’s cool.” Hilda smiled when Neisha introduced herself and Meabh, realizing that name sounded familiar. “I’m Hilda. Nice to meet you. Meabh, I’m pretty sure we’re roommates.”

Petra waited until Ms. Sapphire Lim had dismissed the class, and even longer after that. Though she was nervous about being late to class, she never left too early-everyone was crowding the door, and she didn’t want to be in the way. When everyone was gone, she picked up her things, clutching them tight to her chest, and squeezed down the hallways-which were flooded with people. She whimpered very quietly as people brushed and bumped against her-she was almost…some papers slipped through her notebooks, falling to the ground. On them were sketches-one of Ms. Sapphire Lim in her wheelchair, one of a jackalope, and one of a faceless girl in a poofy dress. She quickly bent down to collect them, though it was difficult as students stepped on the papers, leaving visible grey footprints on her artworks.

Fern said goodbye to Olive, wishing the girl luck. She left the classroom, walking to her next class. She spotted a redheads girl trying to pick up fallen papers and rushed over, picking up the papers and handing them to the girl. “Here you go…are you ok?” Fern asked softly. She could see the girl was terrified and spoke calmly.

Fern smiled when the girl said she was ok. “I’m glad you’re ok. I’m sorry about your drawings.” She said, looking down at the ruined drawings. “What’s your name? I’m Fern Blanchard.” She said, holding out her hand. She was transfixed by the girl’s hair, never having seen a redhead before. “Your hair is very pretty.”

I chuckle and touched my eyepatch. “Oh right, I was born without one. It’s just hallow so I cover it up. I can’t stitch it shut close because of some personal reasons” I said before giving her the bottle back.
“I do know what causes it, its not a headache and more a pain in the neck” I said. “Not to mention it won’t be curable by just natural stuff, not magic without it effecting my own health” I added. “I think the best way to explain it without actually explaining it, sorry but I like to keep it to myself, is that its caused by my powers” I explain before letting out a sigh. “thanks for the offer thought, I appreciate it, but you should use it one someone else instead” I said with a faint smile.
Honestly it was nice to have a peaceful conversation after what happened.

Jara had taken her seat early. The room filled her with excitement. Sure, it was gloomy, dark, and terrible all around. However, it reminded her of the descriptions of the school her father went to. She smiled waiting for class to start.
“Hi,”
Jara suddenly heard something, but when she looked around she could not see the source. She thought she must’ve imagined it. Her smile faded as it was replaced with confusion
“I’m Alya Cheshire.”
She doubled checked, moving her head faster. Jara could’ve sworn she heard something but, yet again, nothing was seen. “Oh dear, I’ve gone insane on the first day, haven’t I? I figured maybe after like 10 days of hard studying it would be possible, but … Oh no, it must’ve been the cramming I had done before arriving at school! How could I have been so foolish!” Jara facepalmed. She was looking forward to school, but alas, her plans had backfired on her.
“Why is it so cold in here?”
Jara held her head in her palms. “It’s cold in my head too! I’m sorry,” Jara somberly apologized. “I could imagine you up a hot tub in there… maybe… I don’t have the best imagination.” Jara had to think. She couldn’t allow all her hard work to be for nothing, other than a surprisingly nice voice in her head. She slowly took out a hardcover study book. And then hit herself directly in the head with it. She fell on her desk in pain wincing and holding her head. “Ow ow ow, that was a mistaaaake. Who would think of such a dumb plan?” Jara whined regretting her ‘solution’.

Brooks had skipped advanced lit with with Colm so had no idea what the homework was and would go talk to the teacher later and say they got lost or something. Math on the other hand had been a mess and honestly they had walked out of class when the teacher got mad at one of the students and Brooks was honestly over it. They knew the assignment though and didn’t care if she held a grudge or something.
They had gotten to Chemythstry and found a seat in the back hoping to be left alone during this class they needed a break from people but then some girl walked up to them. And started to ask questions. “Why do you want to sit by me?” The asked arms crossed and annoyed.

Rory had a pretty good day so far not made many friends besides Kellan but that was ok he knew he would make progress with friends in time. Beyond what the assignment was Rory had gotten nothing but some fun with Kellan out of lit and it sucked they didn’t really have other classes together but it was fine they would have lunch together. Kellan was on his was to Kingdom History & Management when someone knocked him to the ground he was a pretty big guy and Rory tried to get up but there was a crowd of people kept knocking him back down.
Rory wasn’t far from the class but was stuck on the ground because of a mob of kids that kept forcing him back to the ground. The guy who had knocked him down however helped him up when they realized. “No big deal man and thanks for the help.” Rory replied after he had helped him up. Rory followed the guy towards the wall where less people were which was very nice because the halls were so full. "Its not a big deal really Rory told him again as he brushed his white uniform off. “Im going to to Kingdom History & Management if you want to walk its not too far. But what is your name?”

Syrus had strangely enjoyed his first class, even if he had done less listening to the teacher and more talking with Caspian. He had learnt a lot from them and thoroughly enjoyed their talk. He had learned a lot from that talk and when the bell chimed, he and Caspian said his goodbyes as one was meant to do, and walked to his next class. Though when they never separated off to different classes, they learnt that they were headed for the same class. So stuck together.
That meant that Literature was more enjoyable too, he paid no more attention in that class than he did his first, which was largely due to having the distraction of a person to talk with and ask questions. He seemed to prefer the company of someone there to question, and it actually made him wish Caspian was in his next class too.
He found out they were. When the bell chimed again, Syrus soon realised the growling in his stomach could not be ignored. He had heard that he’d have to eat more regularly here on the surface of Earth, but he hadn’t known how regularly. Well, he must do what he must do, and headed to the Castleteria, Caspian accompanying him. They were in the short queue and looking at the menu, when a girl who was whiter than anything he’d ever seen, turned around with a mug of liquid. “Hello,” she greeted with a smile. “I’m Ailbhe. How about you?”
“You’re very white,” Syrus stated with nothing more than a melancholic tone. He didn’t know that that was an insensitive thing to say. But was aware that she had introduced herself. “Ailbhe. My name is Syrus. I’m waiting in line for food but don’t know what to order. I haven’t eaten much before. You seem to have eaten a lot before, what do you recommend?” Then was a long pause before Syrus remembered his books and what they’d said about introducing others. He side-stepped slightly for the girl to see Caspian. “And this is…” Though he became flustered when he realised he didn’t know this person’s name; two hours of talking and not once had he asked.
@Acorn06 - Ailbhe
@ethereal - Caspian - HAHAHA. We never had them introduce themselves.
Advanced Literature had been disappointing, the lesson wasn’t as structured as Vic would have like. Advanded Mathematics was marginly better but they still hoped for to improve. When the bell rang to end their second class, Vic walked around the door from where they had stood in the class and left the room, heading to the third class, Kingdom History & Management. They knew the route to take without delay, five minutes it would take. Although they could never have calculated someone interrupting them to ask, “You don’t happen to know where Kingdom History and Management is? I had a map back in my room, but clearly memorising it wasn’t nearly enough to make it stick in my head, you know?”
The creature known as Vic cocked their head at the person talking in one sharp moment. “Yes,” Vic stated in a very monotone drawl. “That is where Vic is going. I can show you. You follow Vic.” Then they walked on ahead, almost human-like Though their steps were clunky and their joints looked to need a little oiling.

Katsu had been walking to their next class. Well more like standing in the middle of the hall looking for the class the room should have been right here according to the map they had but no door was there at all. Katsu was getting frustrated they didn’t want to be late to any more classes one was enough and slipping in right as the bell rang in the other was already kind of freaking them out. Kats was lost in his own thought when they heard an unforgettable squeal as they were nearly knocked off their feet with a hug. Kats giggle and wrapped their arms around Kellan and smiled. “Ive missed my Kellan too.” they said as the smiled and held them tight it had been a while since they had seen each other in person. “Ok I now need to know what classes you have because I better have Fashion Design & Cosmetology with you because girl I am going to be so mad if we don’t have it together.” Kats smiled at Kellan. “Oh have I missed to tons. And you are eating lunch with me no backing out I need to catch up with you, Especially because my parents have no idea where I am so I could be pulled out or something at any time.”

Ace had completely skipped both first and second period. Why? Because some -sshole had for no reason whatsoever broke his phone, beat the sh-t out of him, and left him muddy and covered in peach guts. And his hideous pet-a monkey had jumped in on the action as well. Ace had gotten some good punches in, but even he could admit… he hadn’t been successful. As he trudged through the hallways and up the dorm stairs, he just hoped no one would recognize him. The two hours to himself were just what he needed-he took a long shower, tossed his clothes in the wash, and styled his hair-perfect. When the uniform was dry, he put it back on, tossing the iconic letterman’s jacket on instead of the provided white suit jacket. Even though he didn’t want to, he didn’t want to ditch for an entire day. Ace strutted into the Kingdom History & Management classroom. It was super dark and lush-not exactly his taste but close enough. He tossed his backpack next to a chair and sat down, then not-so subtly looked around for pretty girls.

“I’m glad you’re okay. I’m sorry about your drawings.” The girl said, smiling sympathetically at the ruined papers. Petra hurriedly crushed them back between the pages of one of her notebooks before the girl could see what was on them. “It’s fine, it’s my fault!” Petra said, speaking very softly as she looked at her hands. “What’s your name? I’m Fern Blanchard.” Fern held out a delicate hand, which Petra did shake-though she hesitated at first, as if scared. “Petra.” She answered quietly, not giving a last name. She didn’t admit this, but she liked the girl’s name. She loved colorful names, plant names. The polite Fern was still looking at Petra, which made her feel a bit uncomfortable-she wasn’t much to look at. “Your hair is very pretty.” Petra’s eyes widened at the compliment she didn’t know what to do with. She shook her head, as if to say no, but did thank Fern. “Thank you… I like your…makeup.” She said, settling on one thing she liked.

Fern shook her head when Petra said it was her fault. “No it wasn’t…it was the people that knocked into you.” Fern said. She gently but firmly held Petra’s hand, shaking it. “Nice to meet you, Petra.” She giggled when Petra looked surprised at her compliment. “It’s true. Thank you. The eyes aren’t makeup.” She said, messing with her choker.

Jakob was a bit surprised when a knock sounded at the door-though the only show of this was the slight raise of his thin eyebrows and the pursing of his lips as he shifted to get a better view of the door. He wondered who it could be-perhaps the staff coming to get them in trouble for ditching? Or maybe César’s definitely-a-he roommate? One thing was for sure, César didn’t want him to find out-his head flipping back to show this. As the door was opened-though for mere seconds, he caught a glimpse of someone. Though it looked more like César was looking into a mirror than at another person. This boy looked exactly like César-they shared the same peachy skin, steel blue eyes, and golden hair. There was absolutely no way they weren’t related, and for a moment, Jakob was in a trance, but snapped out of it to try and eavesdrop. That did no good, as they didn’t seem to be speaking English-instead muttering in another language-likely Danish.
The door slammed in mere seconds, and César turned back to Jakob, interupting him before he could say anything. “This is my brother. He is petty.” He then turned on his heels heading towards the laundry room-where the machine beeped, showing it had dried the clothing. “Says the one who slammed the door in his face,” Jakob teased, curiosity blooming on his face as he lept off the couch and trotted after César, preparing for the long-awaited reaction. “He looks a lot like you-is he your twin? He can’t be as petty as my sister.” Jakob chattered, trying to get more information than the meager amount César had given. César paused before opening the door, “I won’t let it bite you.” He joked, striking a dramatic fighting pose.

César tenderly opened the door, hesitating again, to touch the rose-colored uniform. Bur he eventually did, touch it, moving it out of the way to look for even a splash of white. Jakob started to sniff and chuckle-he couldn’t hold it back anymore. And when César turned to him, asking why they were ‘still colored’, he burst into loud, hollering laughter. For a few moments, he couldn’t speak or breathe. But eventually, he removed the empty blood bottle from his pocket, his hands shaking as he continued to guffaw. “Whoops! I must’ve used the wrong kinda bleach!”
