I believe so. I mean it sounds about right

Hmm… well, perhaps if it keeps happens you could give the Discourse app a try?

 I’ll give it a look

There is one thing I’ve noticed.

When typing a reply, there used to be a button where you could quote the full post that you were replying to, but that button is gone now. So the only option is to highlight the parts of the post you want to quote yourself.

Where was the button? Apologies, I always use the highlight function when I quote, so I’m not sure.

Right about there.

It’s not too big a deal, but I just noticed it cause that tends to be easier for trying to quote something when typing from a phone.

Ah, so I just did a little searching and this actually wasn’t to do with the move. This was a recent Discourse update, which either didn’t update for you until the move or perhaps you didn’t use too recently and just noticed?

Ah that’s interesting!
I know I’d at least used it over the last few days, but its good to know that it wasn’t just a complication of the move :joy:

It did not look like this before

That’s been there for the past couple of years, but once you close the box it only shows up when you login. So if you’re forever logged in then it won’t pop up again

Its not the pop up. Its how the boxes are laid out

Oooooh… Then this will all be the latest Discourse update, as one was done in the past few days.

Did you guys remove the log in via email button? Actually had to type in my password for the first time in years

No, but when we did the update I had to logg in as well, I think everyone did but now I don’t have to log in with the password anymore.

I mean obviously we have to log in when the entire backend changes
It’s just that before we’ve had the option of getting a verification email instead of needing to type out our password
But rn there does not appear to be an option to do that anymore?

Might be a discourse update thing tho idk

Are you talking about the ability to authenticate your account login via either a Gmail, Facebook, etc profile rather than with your name and password?

An external update is going to be completed in a couple of hours. So this will mean that from around 2025-03-11T00:00:00Z2025-03-11T00:00:00Z the forum will be down for this to happen.
Apologies for any inconvenience, but it will be back after this! (wink)

It wasn’t really a Gmail thing, you kinda just got sent a link on your email to authenticate yourself
