Lol. I still misuse ellipses anyways. They may be my favourite kind of punctuation.
But I agree anyways. Dialect can definitely come into play with grammar as well

I overuse ellipses like crazy but I don’t care hahha.
Same!
I would never…
Gotcha…
Ha!
That reminds me! I also tend to overuse exclamation points in real life, but not really in writing…
And I swear the ellipsis were not on purpose this time
I tend to overuse periods but how does that work?
I think I overuse exclamation because I want to make sure people know I mean things in like a happy/upbeat way but it makes me come off a bit crazy.
And overusing periods just means that at the worst people think you’re not super! excited! to talk to them, so it’s not bad. Except in text messages if someone says “Ok.” with a period it seems like they’re mad…
Right?! I just tend to use proper grammar! Let me be!
I don’t know what it is about periods, I just have to remind myself that no one is mad if they use them lol
(Also I feel like lol can be used as punctuation sometimes, haha too!)
Genius.
(Discourse is making me feel antisocial lol)
Yeah, I understand that. I use grammarly to help with the word rules if I’m going to fast to check what I’m writing. Too and to always get’s me each time.
Same here! I’m so bad about it but I feel like more than 3 is better than just 3. I use it for dramatic scenes and sarcasm as well.
… Double ellipses!
Yep!
Haha. They’re like sprinkles!
Exactly! It’s hard not to overdo them!
I know it’s easy to mess them up!
Yes, it really is! It was recently that I realized I was using the wrong version of your when saying You’re Welcome. I guess I never really paid enough attention to which one I was using until it was pointed out during a conversation about someone else using the wrong pronunciation.
I Hate When People Capitalise Every Single Word In Their Stories. Super Nope From Me!
