You are fine, don’t worry!
Oh thank you lol
Don’t worry! Basically all of us just asked and was accepted. XD I’ve seen you roleplay before, and you’re amazing. :3
I mean like the RP community in general. We could open a thread and create a Google form for feedback on how we are doing as mentors and how the community is growing, what guides they want to see, what we could do better, what they think each of us could contribute based off of our various strengths, etc. Although we may be RP Mentors, there’s still a lot we could do for the community and to improve ourselves.
Omg thank you, you have no idea how much that means to me!
I personally think it would be more fair to do something like how the staff are chosen - with application forms. And then top 20 or something get put up in anonymous poll for a comunal vote. top 15 are mentors for the month/however long it is and the other 5 get to be apprentices
Well, some people aren’t on everyday but that doesn’t mean they’re not active?
Were in the same boat.
I don’t like this idea tbh, especially the temporary part of it. The RP community needs stability and not reoccurring elections.
@RP-Mentors, after how long of inactivity should we remove a mentor?
- 1 month
- 2 moths
But it also needs equal chances and importance. Sorry but I don’t think the same people should be mentors forever
Yeah…
2 moths??? Sorry, this made me laugh
Exactly. I completely agree Jass.
Yeah. I think that wouldn’t be the best of ideas.
The oldest are the most experienced… They are mentors because of how they contribute and make rping more enjoyable. I think it’s less fair that they are forced to be replaced because they been a leader for too long.
Yeah
Thats not what I mean, just like every 1/4 of a year we have another election. The same people could be picked every time. I just think that others should get a fair chance too.
Yes, it needs to remain stable. Constant changes will cause the RPers to not even pay attention to who the mentors are and they will just go to the RPers they personally know are more experienced if they have a question.
New mentors can come in and as older mentors leave or step down for some reason, there will be the occasional changes. Everyone will have a chance, but even if there are often elections like you suggested what’s to stop there from being the same exact RPers every time. Some might even be like “if I’m going to have to be re-elected as an rp mentor every so often, I don’t want it.”
After a while of having those who are more experienced be mentors, then for it to not be the same ones all the time, less experienced RPers would then have to become the mentors over the experienced ones.
It should be based on experience, and skill level. A newer RPer can easily become just as good or better than an experienced RPer. At that point they would easily be able to make their way up to rp mentor.
They will always have that chance by showing themselves as an apprentice! I get why you think that way tho, but I think stability and people who are used to the function is more important!
But what would happen to the old mentors would they have to became a apprentice. I just think that it just wouldn’t feel right.
If someone want to became a apprentice they could and that’s almost like being a mentor. So people still do have a chance. They don’t have to be a mentor to make a impact on the rping community
I second that.
@Littlefeets and @Tellyg47, I completely agree with what the 2 of you said. There are enough opportunities for change and to show yourself already!
