The calm space had been filled with the touch of Halia’s slight discomfort. And finally, the words that came out of Jo’s mouth had sealed the deal. She felt herself looking around aimlessly to disguise the flustered look on her face. After all, compliments were her soft spot and had always made her smile uncontrollably. It had felt real, geniune, and that was her weakness. “Thanks Jo, you might’ve just made my day”. While he was nonchalant and causal about it, the words he said meant a lot to her. Little time had passed and she had noticed someone approaching, gazing over to their direction. “Hey there”, she says invitingly. Perhaps she was too flustered by the bright camera flash, or the two compliments she had recieved, and she hadn’t noticed that Jamie quietly joined their group. Halia recognized that the two never really spoke.
