She smiled. “Yea, maybe you’re right. Maybe, one day I’ll get them.” I better leave before she finds out I just lied to her. “It was really nice talking to you, but I have to go take care of a few things.” She stood up and walked out of the cafeteria towards the dorms.

“Okay, bye!” Angel calls after her. She gets up from the table too and goes to find somewhere to put her bags. She walks along a few corridors, not all too sure what she should be looking for.

She was fighting in the simulator, dodging and doing aerials over the bullets, she liked a challenge and to her, this was like home. She heard somebody come in but continued, it was until the simulator was over when she went over to talk to her. She had a cold face once she heard her question, she hated people who was constantly in her business. “I didn’t try to kill him, did I physically touch him? No, tell me why your really here. Because I doubt that your hear for everybody’s “safety”.”

She frowned, “Really? I don’t know if anyone in Batman’s family. But they sounds kind of out of control.” She thought for a moment. “If she gives you any more problems, be sure to tell me. I want to talk to her about it.”

Before Vivian could say goodbye, her father had already driven away at full speed. “Thank you for the support, Dad…” she mumbled, turning slowly back to the teleporter in front of her. Her father couldn’t stand the sight of anything strange or weird like a teleporter so of course he dumped her in a field and let her figure out how the thing worked. Vivian took a deep breathe and entered, hoping for the best.
Dozens of people were already at the gate. Vivian sighed as she scanned the grounds, looking for anyone she could talk to. And she found someone.
" Hello there! I’m Vivian, just came here " She beamed, holding a hand out for the person to shake. She wasn’t sure if a high-five would be better, but a handshake seemed the best option. Vivian smiled, waiting for the person to react.

“I’ll be fine, Cal. I dealt with reckless people like her all the time back in Gotham…Really reckless people. I know how to handle people who use whatever power they have without caution. Besides, if she’s a danger to you, she’s probably a danger to everyone else. And that’s part of what I do, making sure everyone else is out of danger the best that I can.”

If Crystal was not an android, she would’ve laughed. Ironically, making sure nobody got hurt was the point of her being in the Academy- the point of her even being created. The thought that she would’ve not been created if it wasn’t for the Academy was a bit daunting, but she pushed it aside- it was a human trait to wonder about the what ifs. What was done was done, and nothing could change that now.
“I never said you wanted to kill him, though you might have,” Crystal said, brushing off the hostility in Katarina’s voice. “You don’t need to physically touch someone to kill them. All you need is the intent.” Crystal paused. “But, I digress. You still haven’t answered my question. Did you wish to hurt him? You couldn’t have possibly known he was bulletproof before today,” Crystal pointed out.

“Just…” Cal sighed. He didn’t know what her powers were, but with his speed, strength, heat vision, and being bulletproof. He would be able to deal with her. “Just let me handle her, ok. If she had powers, she would’ve used them, not set up a sentry gun.”

Opal looked around the school grounds. There were so many kids walking around, talking and testing their powers. Opal felt so… out of place. She would’ve rather had the familiarity of the streets of New Asgard than the grandeur of the school.She ran her hand through her thick black hair and bent down to pet Audun. If anything, she was happy that they had let her bring him. He leaned into her scratches, his tongue lolling out dopily. Opal laughed, momentarily forgetting her troubles, when a girl approached her. Opal stood back up and awkwardly took her hand. “Hi, Vivian. I’m Opal.” She smiled back.

“Dark, rainy, a little crowded, to be honest…Politically and economically corrupt…” She thought about it, “We have some interesting people there, to say the least. And sure, the crime can be kind of bad, but I think it makes people from Gotham a bit more…prepared than others.”

“That sounds cool. Every team needs a ‘guy in the chair.’ They wouldn’t really work without them.” She thought about it, “I’d probably just go for engineering, mostly tech. If I go out on a mission, I want to be able to build something that can help me. Even though I’m not the smartest person you could meet. Especially not here.”
