To the people that cared about her it was.
Dan was traumatized by having his sister kidnapped.
Akielah was traumatized by seeing her brother almost die in front of her.
They were both traumatized as kids. He lost her, and how she almost lost Kai bonded them in a way Dan doesn’t understand.
They would be able to come to terms with how the Azures that matter to her, had raised her well and protected her. Not knowing she was a Parker.
And if she means nothing to him over this, how is she supposed to regret not choosing him. Because if she really ever mattered to him, he shouldn’t have thrown it all away like that.
