Maddy was in the middle of grading papers at her desk when she heard the bell on the door of her coffee shop jingle. She looked up to see a man with a mullet walk in, wearing a bright yellow Speedo. Maddy couldnāt help but do a double take.
The man strutted up to the counter, his mullet bouncing up and down with each step. āIāll have a large coffee with extra cream and sugar, please,ā he said in a confident voice.
Maddy tried not to laugh as she prepared the coffee. She couldnāt believe that someone would actually wear a Speedo in public. As she handed the man his coffee, she couldnāt resist asking, āUm, do you usually dress like this?ā
The man looked down at his outfit and chuckled. āOh, this old thing? I just came from a swim meet. Iām a competitive swimmer, and I figured I might as well show off my physique while I can.ā
Maddy couldnāt help but smile at the manās confidence. āWell, you certainly have the body for it,ā she said, trying to be polite.
The man thanked her and took his coffee to go. Maddy shook her head as she watched him walk out the door, still amazed by the unusual sight. As she returned to grading papers, she couldnāt help but chuckle to herself, wondering what other strange characters she would encounter at the coffee shop.
