Today was a holiday
Someone’s lighting fireworks in the park across the street from my house
But I don’t think anyone actually knows or cares what the holiday is today, they just want an excuse to use fireworks

On the calendar, it’s just listed as ‘Civic/Provincial Holiday’ because everywhere calls it something different
In my area, it’s called Simcoe Day
