so what is peopls opinion on this? I dont like the triller one. it looks good but dont fit the theme. same goes for comedy. but that one can get away with it
Did you know that Episode has had the same default story covers since 2014 ? (BTW, the default story covers are the ones that appear on your stories in the Writer Portal and on the app based on the genre you choose, before you upload a custom one.)
Originally, we created these covers to help you get started when you write a story, so that once you upload a custom cover, you can’t currently ever revert back to using them. Now that we’re refreshing the look, we’re also considering adding an option on the story cover page to let you switch back to the default cover for your genre if you want.
Our team is working on changing these covers now, and we wanted to give you a sneak preview of the new ones!
There different but they look really good! They don’t exactly fit the style, but maybe this is Episodes way of transitioning into an improved style (changing small things that don’t effect Episode as a whole). I love the colors in the new adventure cover and I like that they kept the general theme of the previous action cover (the running).
But I will add that the new thriller cover doesn’t make sense, it could easily pass as an office romance cover lol
I think overall they are a lot better than the old ones , but I think the comedy default cover doesn’t really fit ? The cover looks a bit too general too say it’s meant to be a comedy story.
I also think that of the old covers , the only one I still like more than the newer version is the mystery cover.
