My original switch mysteriously stopped working so my Mum got me a new one that looked the exact same, I still hold out hope the original will work

Yeah me too! But switch lites are cheaper, the only thing is you can’t connect it to the TV

So the original switch is bigger and the things on the sides (joycons) come off
Switch lite is slightly smaller, the bits on the side don’t come off and it fits into your hands nicely

There’s a very wide range of games on switch! Some are expensive but you can get some good ones for cheap.
