I see the ship similarly to you ~ In my mind, Quintin and Peter became close friends a short time after being enrolled, and would typically train and go out on routine missions together -and then confide in each other 
when the night gets dark . I suppose itās a post-war redemption arc possibility, on the off-chance that they both survive. (ļ¾āć®ā)ļ¾*:ļ½„ļ¾ā§
