Welcome to the RP Character Challenge!

We all like to see new characters that are different from what we normally see, but it can be difficult to push ourselves to make characters that are different from what we normally make and think outside the box. That’s where the character challenge comes in.

How the challenge works:

On the 1st of the month , the theme for that month will be posted with a prompt. As soon as the month’s challenge has been given, you can create a character to fit the theme. On the 28th of the month, a poll will be posted to determine the winner. The voting period will end at 12:00am EST on the 1st of the next month and the winner announced before the next theme is posted.
The winner will have their character on the forums insta!

The character must be a new creation for the challenge, not a pre-existing character for another RP.

When the challenge ends, feel free to use them in an RP, or send them to the Adoption Centre where someone else can put the character you made to good use!

All characters submitted for the challenge must be submitted in the format below.

You are encouraged to think outside the box with your characters and how they fit the theme. We want to see some awesome unique characters. Take this as an opportunity to experiment with a character and try something different than you’re used to, but please also take the extra time given to develop these characters with detail and to research the concepts you aren’t as familiar with.

If you want to try your hand at creating characters for previously completed challenges and you want to post them here, go ahead, just labeling which challenge they were created for. They will just not be eligible to win that category.

Challenge 1: Create a character under the age of 13

Create and post a character here who’s age is in the 0-12 range. They can have any sort of background, but they can not be a teenager or older.

Elisabeth

Elisabeth Charlis

Age:

Background:
Elisabeth is the youngest daughter of the wealthy Charlis family. She has one older brother, Gabriel, and one older sister, Adeline, who are twins. Elisabeth is 8 years younger than her twin siblings and they don’t share the same mother. Due to weak health, Elisabeth has been raised behind closed doors. she’s been forced to stay inside and is homeschooled. because of this, Elisabeth has developed a natural curiosity for the outside world and often sneaks out of the house to explore her surrounding. Her favourite place is the old stables inside the forest behind her house where her best friend is a little kitten which she takes care off and even sometimes naps with

Personality:
Elisabeth is curious, especially when it comes to the outside world. She isn’t really interested in her parents or siblings and rather plays outside. Though she tries to be a good girl, her curiosity often gets the best of her and sneaking into the woods is no longer something she feels guilty about. Though she loves her family and wants to follow their rules, she also wants to learn more and often tries to learn about the plants and animals that live around her house. When meeting others she’s shy but polite as to how she was raised but when it some to kids her age, she is quiet and won’t talk much. She also loves to sing as she always hears her mother sing and sometimes learns songs from the old maiden in the house who she sees as a grandmother figure.

Additional Information:
Favorite color is pink, hates carrots and fish but saves it for her kitty friend. loves to sing and play.
She is surprisingly agile and fast for her age because she runs around the forest a lot and often jumps and runs over roots.

Jammas

Name: Jammas Sayed
Gender: Male
Age: 5 and a half

Background: Jammas Sayed is an Afghan, living in Afghanistan. His mother was killed three years ago, but he’s lucky enough to still live with his father, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandmother. When Jammas was just a little over 2-years-old, he and his family were mostly lucky to escape their home in Farah Province after the Taliban seized control. Although they lost one family member (his mother) in the bombing. For a year, they lived a melancholic life of poverty in the next province over. Even Jammas had to “work”; being used for sympathy, he was placed alone on the street with only a basket to coin-collect. Upon returning to Farah Province, it was not easy for the family to rebuild their life. Slowly, enough money came in again, and with the Afghan laws changing, Jammas has even been able to attend school this year. He’s loving it, despite it still being dangerous with schools being the prime target for the occasional Taliban bomb.

Personality:
Jammas Sayed is a 5-year-old child who enjoys laughing, throwing a ball around, and reading. He’s generous and smart, but can also be very independent and a bit sneaky. One of the smallest kids for his age, that tends to help Jammas sneak around. Especially at home or school when he just wants to be alone, which makes his family worry like crazy. However, Jammas doesn’t seem to get in trouble, as he uses his size and adorableness to worm his way out of any punishment. As for what Jammas makes of the world around him, he’s most unphased, enjoying school and playing football (though they don’t play properly, being so young) with friends or kicking a ball around himself. He just acts like a normal young kid who knows no different.
