I saw him flinch a little when he first got up. “You sure I can help you wrap it easy enough.” I say as I shrug at him and sigh watching him jump. “If you are sure you are ok Im not going to push you on it Leo.” i say as I move away and finish putting my stuff away and make my bed. I made sure I had all my bedding situated on my bed as he seemed to be lost in thought. “Mind caught on something?” I ask as I look over to see Leo still thinking about something. He started talking out of nowhere and i shook my head. “That should have been all of it I mean I have a bunch of art but its mine so we dont need to hang it. I just brought it with so I could figure out my portfolio.”

“Not now now, I mean, after this speech. Unless you wanna leave? Wouldn’t mind that.” He leaned on his palm. “We could film so many things on campus, show people what they’re missing,” he suggested.
Right, it would give him the ability to make people jealous of his fortune. Because even though he was forced to attend the academy, he couldn’t deny it made him look better in the public’s eyes. He closed his eyes briefly, just imagining how they’d react. How much they’d envy him and wish they had his life. He couldn’t help but smirk.
A few seconds after, he realized he’d drifted off plotting like some comically exaggerated villain. He snapped his eyes open and turned back to Lorenzo. “Uh, what kind of video were you planning on making anyway? We could go from there,” he continued, trying to shrug off his thoughts.
I shouldn’t be thinking of using him like that.

The girl introduced herself as Camila, and Greer smiled. ”Where are you from? I can’t place your accent. I’m from Michigan. If you’ve seen a map, that’s the mitten state. I was born in the capital, Lansing. That’s here.” I’ll leave you be now.” Greer pointed to the middle of their palm, around their thumb area. It was pretty convenient that you could point at your hand to explain where you lived. Piece of cake. You wouldn’t even need a map, just your palm.

I heard Greer speak about where they are from which was Michigan. "Isn’t Michigan cold? Sorry I never been to the middle of the US or East Coast until now. I was born and raised in Beverly Hills, California and it is always warm there. But I am also curious Camila on where you are from as well.

I smile at him. “okay. And yes I’m sure I’m fine. Oh crap I still need to make my bed.” I chuckle looking at my bed with nothing on it and the boxes with my bedding at the foot of my bed.
I thought for a minute. “what if we did a video of in here and all the students then went and showed the campus? Make everyone jelly of this place and us?” I smiled and looked at him waiting for his response.
I blushed and smiled slowly and shyly. “I’m from Texas.” I say to both of them. Then the headmaster starts to speak.

I decided to go up to the podium. I clear my throat and wait for the students and staff to quiet down. When it was quiet enough I started my speech.
“Welcome students and staff to a new year here. We hope you enjoy it here and have fun. This school year we will have six classes and multitude of sports teams to do. We have over 130 courses and have multiple guest speakers come to this school. We hope that at this school you learn athletic and artistic growth, as well as leadership skills that you can use everyday, but most importantly we are a family here and want everyone to feel like they belong. If there are any questions or issues that arise throughout the school year please feel free to come talk to me or any other students or staff.”
I paused for a minute then continued
“We hope that our football is lead to Victory this year yet again. Also the sports seasons are posted by the office and your coaches will of course give you more information on everything sport related. Now let’s have a good year. You are all dismissed.” I smiled and stepped down and let them go back to what they were doing.

Greer chuckled. ”Yeah, Michigan is actually up near Canada. Due to this, it can get very cold, even dipping into the mid negatives in the winter. The snow can get insane. On the other side of the US from California. Michigan is in the Midwest.” Camila explained where she was from, and Greer was about to comment, but went quiet as the headmaster began speaking, turning to pay attention. Luckily, the speech wasn’t very long, and he told them where to find the sports seasons. Greer had never actually played squash in their life, but why not try it out, right? New place, new sport. Turning back to Camila, they nodded. ”I’ve actually been to Texas. Relatives live there.”

Greer advised us that it is up near Canada and that it gets cold and it can get in the negatives. “I don’t think I would be able to survive in Michigan in the Winter then. But hey we have to get used to the cold here so maybe I will get used to it. Is this your first year here to as well Greer? I know it is Camila’s and I”.

I smiled as Greer said where they were from. “I live in Laredo. Which is in the south. Close to Mexico actually.” I smiled at them both. I had never been out of Texas till now. I wasn’t sure how cold it got here and I wasn’t sure if I had enough winter clothes or the right winter clothes for that matter. I knew it probably snowed here. It doesn’t snow where I live. I would probably have to buy some clothes. Luckily I had money saved up from my summer of babysitting. I actually had $1,000+ dollars saved up. So I knew if I needed clothes I could just buy them. “it doesn’t ever snow where I’m from. I’m a little nervous about the snow to be honest.” I wasn’t sure who my roommate was.

Greer laughed when neither girl thought they could survive a Michigan winter. At least they were honest. ”Yeah, if you guys have never even seen snow, you’d be deeply screwed in Michigan. When it snows, it’s around 32 degrees Fahrenheit, as that’s the freezing point of water. That’s basically what snow is, frozen water. Anyway, if you couldn’t handle it in the positives, you’d absolutely loose it when it hits the negatives. I don’t think it gets as cold here as it does in Michigan, but it should be close. Just bundle up, and you’ll be fine. You know what, I’m feeling unusually extroverted right now, so I can totally take you guys shopping to prepare for winter if needed. No issue.” Chloe then asked if it was their first year, and Greer nodded. ”Yep, it’s my first year. Oh, I forgot to mention this, but I actually go by they\them pronouns. I’m non binary.”

I was listening to what Greer was saying and they said that they are non binary and advised us of their pronouns. “Oh ok thanks for letting us know that is helpful and it’s good to know that we aren’t alone with it being our first year. What year are you in?”

I smiled as Greer talked. I waited to hear what Chloe had to say before I said anything. “that would be nice of you to take us shopping. I don’t think I’m ready for the winter, to be honest, I mean I got long sleeve shirts and some jackets but probably not thick enough for snow, and I only have tennis shoes and my flip flops.” I say as I think about what I did bring with me. “that is good information to know.” I say as I smile and look at Chloe wondering what her sexuality and all that was. I wasn’t honestly sure what mine was. I mean I’ve never been romantic with either boys or girls so I wouldn’t know I guess.

“You want help?” I ask as I toss the last few blankets I had on my bed. I was willing to help if he wanted I mean head just decorated my half of the room for me. “Did you bring all your bedding this year I brought a few extras just because you forgot all your blankets last year.” I say as I giggle a little.

I smile as he offers his help. “yeah sure you can help.” He then says that last year I forgot some of my blankets. I just laugh. “I did bring my favorite one.” I said with a smile and pulled out my sheets first and set them on the bed. I then pulled my two pillows at the other box. I also pulled out my pillow cases that matches my sheets.
I then pulled out my favorite blanket. I smiled big.
The blanket was the one Killian gave me last year for Christmas. I was so happy when he gave it to me. However it was the only one I brought. I just hoped I didn’t cold. I mean I’m hot natured and don’t get cold easily. “it’s the only one I brought”

I grab his pillows and start to put the pillow cases on after he told me I could help. “You only brought one. Hopefully you dont get too cold I do have extra if you need them though.” I say as I laugh a little seeing exactly what the one blanket he brought was. “I got you that last year for Christmas.” I say smiling. I liked both American football and football football now but my first year I wasnt really aware about too much of American football. Leo and I bonded over soccer though we liked to watch the games together. His favorite team was Manchester United. I was more of a Derry city man myself but Manchester always played well. I had happened to find that blanket in a shop back home over break and it made me think of him so I got it for him honestly as simple as that.

Greer smiled when Camila and Chloe accepted their gender and pronouns. ”Thank you, it really means a lot. A lot of people I’ve known for years aren’t as accepting as you, and we’ve just met. I’m pansexual too, so there’s that. Regarding shopping, I have absolutely no issue helping you.” Greer couldn’t help but laugh when Camila told them the clothes she’d packed. ”Um, yeah. I real hate to break it to you, but those definitely won’t cut it. You need heavy coats, boots, sweaters and snow pants. Don’t worry, though. I can help you with what to buy. We can make a day of it when we’re off school. I’ll take you out to lunch.” Greer had a hunch they should stop talking. There was a pretty big chance that they wouldn’t have the spoons for doing what they’d told the girls they would do. There they went again, biting off more than what they could chew when feeling extroverted. They’d most likely regret doing this when the time came to shop, but at least they were helping people, right?

I nod and smile at Greet as they talked about how they hate to inform us and that we should go shopping. They also mentioned that they were pansexual as well. “Oh wow that’s awesome cause I’m pansexual as well. Also I only brought jeans, short sleeve t-shirts and maybe a few sweatshirts since o don’t really need the foot stuff in Cali. But have money as well so I don’t mind shipping and paying for some stuff or help out somehow. Going shopping sounds actually fun”

It’s so soft and it’s my favorite soccer team.” I smile, but the truth was that I loved it and it was my favorite because he gave it to me. “it’s good to know that if I need one you have one for me as well. I was really happy that he liked it so much. I hadnt realized just how much he liked it until he mentioned it now. I wondered if it being a gift from me had any baring on why he liked it even just a little. "Oh wait I have a blanket for you anyway my mom made it for you she said its just like a little welcome back gift. My mom had made my brothers and I all knitted blankets for christmas last year and she had intended to make one for Leo too it just wasnt done by christmas. I dug around in my boxes looking for it. (What is his favorite colors?)
