ā¢ Try moving or doing sports, it helps to distract you from your pain
ā¢ drink water instead of eating unhealthy stuff or get yourself some healthy alternatives like carrots and apples

I had to get the matchstick implant removed today and omg, I wasnāt even scared when I watched the nurse cut my arm to get the matchstick out. I guess I know whatās it like to be on the implant for over a year.

I used to love chocolate on my period but now my period messes up my digestive system and I canāt eat much or I get super bad cramps/nausea. Itās not a fun combo.
So I put a heating pad on my stomach area or take a warm bath and that helps. That and ibuprofen (not acetaminophen or paracetamol), help me get through the first two days. And if itās really bad or the ibuprofen doesnāt kick in, Iāll drink a glass of wine. (Yes, I know this is not great, but I do this only occasionally to prevent kidney damage)
I didnāt realize how lucky I was because my periods were virtually painless until 25 or soā¦
