Can you wear them overnight?

Man I always avoid swimming when I get my period because I worry about blood going everywhere. I wouldn’t bother wearing a tampon if I want to go swimming.

:joy::joy: we’d need to alter the logo. I feel like a pencil is an awkward thing to have on a menstrual cup. I wonder if there’s an etiquette

I was 11 to 13. Between those ages.

Now I have to take birth control for it…

When I’m on my period:

  • I lay in bed all day
  • I have bad mood swings
  • I’m super sensitive
  • Constant cravings
  • I take prescribed pills for my bad cramps
  • I don’t drink/eat anything with sugar unless I’m craving it
  • I can cry easily so don’t hurt me too much…
  • I listen to calm music
  • I’m even more lazy
  • Drink cranberry juice (sometimes)
  • I sleep more
  • Drink tea without milk
  • Sleep on my side, or try to
  • Binge watch k-dramas that I haven’t finished or episodes I missed
  • Write on episode
  • I gain weight before my period on some parts of my body
  • Watch some TV and/or Netflix
  • Fulfill some cravings

What kind of birth control are you on?

I had to get the matchstick implant removed today and omg, I wasn’t even scared when I watched the nurse cut my arm to get the matchstick out. I guess I know what’s it like to be on the implant for over a year.

You’ll have to share your experience if you try the cup thing.

I’ve considered it too.

I used to love chocolate on my period but now my period messes up my digestive system and I can’t eat much or I get super bad cramps/nausea. It’s not a fun combo.

So I put a heating pad on my stomach area or take a warm bath and that helps. That and ibuprofen (not acetaminophen or paracetamol), help me get through the first two days. And if it’s really bad or the ibuprofen doesn’t kick in, I’ll drink a glass of wine. (Yes, I know this is not great, but I do this only occasionally to prevent kidney damage)

I didn’t realize how lucky I was because my periods were virtually painless until 25 or so…

I’m not sure if it’s just the placebo effect, but in India, they tell you to wash your hair on the 2nd day because it makes the period finish faster. Every time I wash my hair on the 2nd day of my period, the flow gets heavier :eyes:
