Some politicians in another part of germany said that they want to reopen schools without any safety measures (like wearing masks, keeping distances, etc.) because the virus doesn’t affect kids as much as adults… Do they not realize that kids can still get infected and die or spread the disease to their adult family members? 
Luckily I live in another part and they don’t want to do something so stupid here although they still plan to reopen schools

Gah! OMG! So after beating the virus a couple of months ago, we have had very few isolated cases (no more than 20) from Kiwis coming home. Despite the military watching over those kiwis, some stupid some still broke quarantine.
Sadly, yesterday, we found our first untraceable cases from four people in the same family in our largest city (not capital), Auckland.
So Auckland is now immediately going into level three lockdown for three days and it’ll evaluated, while the rest of New Zealand is going into level two. SIGH!

My school is reopening, but we had the option of doing fully online or half in person/half online. Our classes are even cut in half so that there are only fifteen people in a class at a time and we have to wear masks.

It was a provincial decision. Most of the school boards in my province are going back full time with masks and physical distancing measures, but there were certain boards that they said had to do the alternating thing and mine is one of them.

literally, at this point. i’m not believing what’s confirmed and what’s not. these “confirmed cases” some are true, but some are complete crap. so, i don’t know what to believe anymore, nor do i want to because it’s getting crazy.

My dad keeps saying that they should break down the numbers to show people how many cases are coming from long term care homes and how many are coming from the farms because those are the biggest issues right now.

But obviously if schools are reopening they have to do tests before people are allowed to enter the school right?

what i personally believe is that they’re lying. like, they’re combining cases.
for example, someone dies in a car crash, they’re counting it as covid-19. and each death, the nurses and doctors are getting paid. ;; and flu cases went like down, i think? and suddenly disappeared ever since covid-19 happened.

with my classes, which i personally find stupid. we’re doing remote learning till october… but like, if a second wave occurs, we’re screwed. but, SUPPOSEDLY, they’re planning to do like three days of remote learning, two days of in school learning but with masks.

Why wouldn’t they? A lockdown also makes it harder to spread the flu
no. they are combining the cases.
they’re combining flu with coronavirus. same with any other accident, like i provided an example previously. that’s why they suddenly went down. if you’re inside or not, that doesn’t mean you technically still can’t get the flu.
