The coronavirus

i mean, you can easily look at the charts and you wouldn’t find anything suspicious whatsoever that flu cases have been extremely high, then covid-19 rolls around and then the automatically drop?

i would expect a significant drop in flu cases due to lockdown procedures and people taking above average measures to not get sick

technically but not technically. yes, because we’re inside and so on, but doesn’t mean the flu cases would drop in a matter of days. it would take time for the rates to drop, but they dropped so much just when covid-19 became a big matter globally and within the us.

there are so many different things that could be happening, though

yes, i understand that. but i’m going with flu cases since they occur a lot every year.

I meant so many different factors that would affect flu cases

But perhaps most importantly: what would anyone have to gain by doing that?

if i understand by “gaining”, correct me if i misinterpreted what you said, but i said previously. each covid-19 death and/or case, doctors, nurses, and people in the medical field get paid within those two.

Why would anyone pay all medical professionals per death?

Also, my mom would be rich

So, Israel imposes a three-week national lockdown with some really strict restrictions now! They are not allowed to meet with more than 9 other people indoors, many shops and schools are closed and they must stay within 500 metres of their homes (unless they go to work). They had quite a lot of new cases lately, so I get why they do that.
What do you think about that? @Discussions

Yup
fun (not) for us😤

We get lots of new cases because people here really don’t give a sh!t and do everything like there’s no pandemic running around
And the police doesn’t actually care either so yeah
We’re screwed :upside_down_face:

South Korea has Covid detectives and is being held up as a model for its response to the outbreak. They have a team who are contact tracing and have been given government authority to isolate and test anyone suspected to have the virus.
Doesn’t this sound amazing?

Cases in France leap past 10,000 a day. Saturday’s figures reported 2,432 people sent to hospital, 75 more than on Friday. Of these, 417 were sent to intensive care, an increase of 28. An additional 17 people died of the virus. France has recorded more than 30,000 deaths since the pandemic began, the seventh highest total worldwide. On Saturday health authorities said there were 10,561 new cases, rising by more than 1,000 from Friday’s figures.
Is this really scary or is it just me?

What do you think of either of these to stories, @Discussions?

Yeah. I’m glad that we’re only level one again but it’s scary how many countries are going back into lockdown again.
