Hey there! So like, Twilight was the very first book I read and it was the book that made me fall in love with books.
But then, Twilight is now one of the very few books that I absolutely don’t like. And I am so not the only one. There are plenty of people who feel the same.
You see so much hate towards Twilight that I want to understand why so much hate? Why is it so bad?
Or do you like it? Why do you like it, if so? Why not?
This is not a Twilight appreciation thread. It’s more of a Twilight discussion thread so feel free to express your discontent to your heart’s satisfaction!

Okay I don’t like it mainly because I dislike the way the vampires are portrayed. I also think it’s pretty overrated and I don’t enjoy romance even if there is some fantasy in there, I feel like the story is romance with a fantasy subplot and tbh it makes me wanna puke 
.
I know somebody who dislikes it simply because she’s part of the Harry Potter fandom, I guess she fails to see you can like more than one thing.
In general I just feel like it has a weak plot but I guess it’s just not my thing. So if you like it then that’s awesome.

The hatred for Twilight is waaaaay overblown. It’s nowhere near as bad as the Michael Bay Transformers films, but the reaction to that was just ‘meh’.
But that’s because it’s teenage girls who made it big, and people really hate teenage girls for some reason. It’s not good, by any stretch, but it’s not 50 Shades of Grey levels of atrocious

Yeah by far it’s not the worst thing ever created infact it was my old English teachers favourite thing some people do just like to bash on things that teenage girls are into but if somebody were to come up to me telling me how much they love it I wouldn’t be rude to them or anything, it’s just not my thing.

I think it’s something like they can come alive if not burned on time? Which I find kinda stupid. Maybe if they’d showed what happened if they didn’t burn a vampire’s body, I’d be able to understand why burning is important.
Right now, it just feels unnecessary.
