I know you mean in the portal but there’s specific headscarves that do have cultural significance. You can’t say headscarves in general don’t. Based on how it’s wrapped and used, it either matters to a culture and/or religion or it doesn’t.
Just because there isn’t much people complaining over it doesn’t make it okay to use those assets for something it isn’t intended for. Those Nehru blazers and along with the Achkan pants have cultural significance. Wearing it for different reasons doesn’t take it away.
I don’t remember anyone saying white characters shouldn’t use it but okay.

This I agree with to a certain extent. Although episode doesn’t give a name to the headscarves, there are same based on how they are in appearance and wrapped a certain way that do have significance to depending on the culture. 
If you don’t understand what I’m trying to explain, that’s fine but don’t downplay cultural assets importance for correct representation.

There was a person on Instagram saying that people shouldn’t use Double Dutch Braids on non-black characters, but I think it was only that one person… I didn’t see anyone else complaining about it.

“Unpopular” Opinions PT 2 
:
- Wolf and vampire stories are some of the worst stuff I’ve ever read, I just don’t see the hype.
- Just like what @anon80318563 said Christmas and church weddings are not religious representation period.
- I can’t stand when stories have overly long intros.
- I understood why most people decided to censor cursing in their stories but why are words like “crap” and “suck” being censored lately, like I don’t get it?
- So many Limelight animations are so CLUNKY, slow, and unnatural.
- Episode needs to fire their management team or something. The ads are horrible and only represent only romance, the trending page, and featured stories. Episode is making it look like it’s just another one of those problematic “choices” story apps when really episode was the blue print. They need to change up their direction.
- A lot of people rant about popular stories & trending but nothing is done about it, you might as well promote stories you actually like and look around for stories you might like.
- Speaking of which who in the HELL are picking these stories to be remade into featured stories? Do they actually read them?
- Also to add to my previous opinion why is the writing and directing so basic in FEATURED stories? They don’t have to be advanced directing but all of the writing follows the same format and is poorly written. Also before those stories are remade into an episode original, some of them are actually really decent and well written. What went wrong like I don’t get it?
- Relatable humor… isn’t funny gasp omg it’s not.
- Fast paced zooms don’t equal comedy it’s like a fan edit or something.
- At this point episode stories aren’t even funny there’s literally no point of a comedy section.
- Overly long and dramatic monologues are so ANNOYING. I’m tired of authors constantly feel the need to be deep, philosophical, or whatever. Sometimes it’s done well but it mainly comes off as boring.
- Why did episode take out mobile creator? I didn’t like reading a lot of people’s stories from mobile creator, but it was a fun past time, practice and gave people who didn’t have computers or laptops a chance to write a story.
- I think the double dutch braids can be versatile and can be used for white characters or pass them off as goddess braids for the black characters.
- Nobody is obligated to share their culture if they don’t want to episode story or not. Culture ain’t something to be tossed around, you have to be respectful of everyone’s.
- Hopefully plus size males are coming soon to an episode story near you.
- Also on that note, I wish episode would’ve had more clothes for the plus size female characters before they were released.
- I like the feminine outfits for the males but when are we getting more masculine clothes for females? I am a tomboy and like more boyish clothes myself. But I also have characters that also like that more masculine clothing.

- I feel like people in the episode community are either too sensitive or too indifferent about stuff that matters. I’ve seen people get upset about either the smallest things, the dumbest things, or a joke. By the way I’m not justifying jokes that are morally questionable. It’s okay if you don’t like dark humor, I personally do but I know where boundaries are. But the way I’ve seen it I’m lowkey scared to make any type of joke dark or not because I feel like somebody is going to make a whole thread about me and try to cancel me LMAO
. Also people just let some of these episode authors get away with ANYTHING and don’t hold authors accountable when they need to be. - At this point I’m ready for Ivy the mature app not for episode character sexy time but because I feel like I’d be able to write more freely.
- Episode should release a whole bundle of background, I just feel like there’s not enough.
- We need more black hairstyles its been a LONG while now.
- I think I’ve said this before but I feel like bisexuals on episode are very misrepresented. You don’t see any male bisexuals at all, like no joke the male MC would either be straight or gay even though sometimes they’d have a girlfriend before or sometimes they had no red-orange-yellow-green-blue-purple flags that they were gay until the main LI just comes around. But I like The Jock’s Secret though, absolutely love it. or for the females are made out to be nymphomaniacs and their sexuality just doesn’t feel genuine to me.
- I still like episode, it has many many flaws but hopefully they turn their direction around.
- A lot of the male LI are either a gary-sue or completely toxic or a mix of both. i.e looks toxic is a gary-sue & vice versa
- I don’t care what anybody says… cheating is not justified. I don’t like when the MC is supposed to be made out as a victim when they cheat. Then sometimes their partner cheats and then they get mad and the partner is made out to be the bad guy when they both suck and in the wrong?
- We need a flat chested body for females.
- Do not read my unpopular opinions because I’m annoying & I type too much

I hate it because they almost never use the bigger lips for POC women, and are only using it on the white mc. Like, please, I want realistic poc beauty! Don’t slap on some monolids, a chinese name, and say the character is asian! Asians come in all different shapes and sizes and the eyes aren’t the only feauture that makes someone look east asian.

Like, you literally wear completely different clothes and shows every day. Personally, I own 6 pairs of shoes and I literally own 4 of the same pair of (black skinny) jeans! xD I reuse tops on a regular (after they have been washed) and have favourite outfits to wear. Most people would agree that reusing outfits is realistic!
This especially annoys me when they’re supposed to be poor. WELL STOP BUYING SO MUCH CLOTHING THEN.
I really appreciate it when I see writers reuse clothes in different combos! It feels much more real!

I remember I used to make such an effort on The Queen of Freaks to reuse outfits I created. Originally it was because I would just name them Outfit 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc and pick three at random. After a while, I started to realise that it makes more sense that way, anyway!

I mostly wear different versions of the same top along with black leggings pretty much every day
I get trying to accommodate for different outfit tastes, but there’s definitely a reasonable limit for how many new clothes characters should have

True! It makes sense if the MC is rich and loves shopping, but someone who struggles financially isn’t going to have a thousand different outfits and wear something different each episode. Even though Emilianna from Miss Understood is rich, I made her repeat outfits sometimes.
